Fabulous! Easy to schedule, arrived right on time. The staff was knowledgeable about our 1958 plumbing and how to clear our bathroom sinks drain. Who knew you could snake a drain through your roof? These guys, that's who. Fredi was straightforward and explained everything well, which is always appreciated in home repairs. Since it was a complex problem, they charged hourly. Considering two guys were literally on and off my roof and fixed the problem quickly, it felt like very fair pricing. Looking forward to my old-a$$ bathroom sinks draining freely again. My wife and I are retired and getting up in years, so I am working to make it possible to stay in our home of 33 years for as long as possible. Toward that end, I had Alligator Plumbing relocate the piping for our laundry from the downstairs garage to a bedroom hallway closet, a belated Christmas gift for my wife. This was a pretty big job, as it involved running two water lines, a drain and a dryer vent, putting in a pan under the machines and then physically relocating the stacked washer and dryer to the closet. They subcontracted out the moving of the machines, and I had a roofer patch the pipe penetration on the roof. It also required relocation of the power panel, which was old and in need of replacement anyway, at their suggestion I used Skyline Electric, and this too went well (my old go-to electrician has apparently retired). This was my second job by Alligator Plumbing, both went perfectly. Passed inspection without any problems. So much easier for us to do laundry now! Highly recommended. read more

We had an annoying leak out of a relatively exotic shower faucet. After asking several plumbers that didn't want to get involved we called Alligator to fix a minor issue and had our technician Mike look at the shower. After a bit of manipulation he took photos and sent them to the owner Jason who found the original manufacturer and was able to find suitable replacements. Mike was an outstanding technician. He took extreme care of our house, cleaned up as he worked, was on time and curteous Pricing was fair and although I hope not to need them in the future Alligator Plumbing will be first call on my list. read more

Another happy customer. I have an upstairs bathtub that was leaking onto the below ceiling. It was one of those problems that might require opening up the ceiling which can get messy. That said, the plumber Fredi, evaluated the situation and noticed the tub spout was slightly separated from the wall which would allow water to enter when taking a shower. Based on his experience, he suggested recaulking the tub spout. However, when attempting to secure the tub spout, he noticed that the set-screw was not securing it to the pipe. Because of this concern, he suggested using a new mail adapter to connect a new tub spout to the pipe which made a very secure connection. Still waiting for the caulking to dry but I'm confident this should fix the leak. If not, I would not hesitate to call Alligator Plumbing again. read more

Two other plumbers had fiddled with it and not fixed it. As someone who values time and efficiency, I could not have asked for more. Even upon our initial interaction, they responded so quickly and with a date and time that they could be at our place. Ok done! We had a leak in one of our bathrooms and needed to find the source. I scheduled them to come over to provide a free estimate. I knew a fair range was going to be within $250-$400, so when they quoted us at $290, we said yes and had them do the work right then and there. They were in and out quickly and the parts and service for repair also came with a limited time warranty. Emailed us a line item invoice and we were done! Super friendly, very professional. Jason and his team are so great! They're responsive, personable, honest and really respectful of people's property. Jason continuously kept me in the loop throughout the entire process and explained his reasoning for doing things. When I needed help picking out good quality, but reasonably priced, hardware, he took his time to look at my choices and gave me his honest opinion. When installing my handheld showerhead, he said he scratched it (it was a very small scratch that I could barely see) and immediately bought a brand new one. I told him it wasn't a big deal, but he takes pride in his work and wanted to make sure everything was perfect. I've worked with Alligator Plumbing a few times. Very knowledgeable professionals, efficient with their work and always respectful of my home. Recently, I had a gas leak and unfortunately, they were unable to make it out the day I called, so I had to contact another company. The other company could not locate the leak and wanted to open areas of Sheetrocked walls and ceiling, as neither they nor I was sure of the location of a portion of the gas line. Their second option was to do an entire repipe. What I thought was going to be somewhat of an easy fix, seemed to be turning into a bit of a nightmare. Even though Alligator was booked at the time, Jason was extremely communicative and repeatedly checked in with me about the situation. Super nice, as it was an unnerving circumstance that I'd never dealt with. As soon as our schedules permitted, I made an appointment for Mike to come out. Mike showed up determined to find the leak. After diligent pressure testing, exploration of my attic (which the other company never checked) and carefully opening a small section of Sheetrock, Mike and Freddie were able to locate and repair the leak, saving me further inconvenience and money!!! Such a relief! I'm so thankful for the amazing job they did. These guys ARE the BEST-super knowledgeable, communicative, efficient and honest. They truly care about their customers. Honest, knowledgeable techs saved us thousands + a huge headache! Second time hiring Alligator for residential plumbing work - this time as a second opinion after being quoted the "discounted rate" from another plumber of over $2K to do a bunch of work that he felt was necessary (run a new gas line for our home to stop a leak). Spoke with Jason in the morning for a second opinion. He immediately sent over Mike, who was prompt, professional, and thankfully very knowledgable about diagnosing and troubleshooting our gas leak issue. After about 20 minutes of running back and forth to different potential problem areas of the house (also putting on shoe covers each and every time he walked through our house - thank you), he referred us to call PG&E who was, as he said, actually responsible for the real problem. Sure enough, PG&E fixed it same day for no charge. Alligator then sent us an invoice to follow up for the diagnosis work for $0... this has never happened in my life, ha! I had to come here to rave about them yet again after they literally saved us thousands today and prevented us from having to cut up our concrete foundation over the next several days without gas (hot water) in our home. I did quite a lot of research into plumbers beforehand, because I knew my 75 years old home in the East Bay required a lot of plumbing upgrades. It is no coincidence that this company has almost all 5-Star reviews, and I do not exaggerate when I say that the expertise, conscientiousness, and attention to detail of the four Alligator plumbers who worked on my home was as good as it gets. Here's all that I had done: 1. Replaced main galvanized water pipe from meter to house with copper 2. Replaced all galvanized water pipes in house with copper (including outdoor faucets) 3. Installed new water heater 4. Rerouted hot/cold water pipes for washer at new location in garage 5. Moved hot/cold water pipes and replaced drain plumbing for utility sink at new location in garage 6. Installed new shower faucet set in bathroom 7. Upgraded bathtub drain plumbing for fast flow During the four-day job, I was informed when the plumbers would arrive/leave for the day, when the water would be turned off/on, progress of the work, and the permit/final-inspection schedule and results. Everything was checked by the Alligator plumbers at the end of the job, all work was guaranteed, and I received a follow up call a few days later to makes sure that there were no problems. I would not use this company if I were you , and in fact, I did not. I had a leak which appeared to be near my hot water heater. They told me they did not know exactly what was going on and that they would charge me $1200.00 to take out my water heater, plus additional charges to fix the leak. Fortunately for me , they were not able to fix it today so I called another plumber after they left to get a 2nd opinion. The other plumber came in an hour. He discovered the leak was in fact not where the water heater is and that the leak was coming from my shower valve. He fixed it through my shower fixture at a cost to me of $275.00. The fact that they quoted me such a cost of $1200.00 PLUS is SCANDALOUS. Beware of Alligator plumbing. They aren't legit. All they want to do is RIP YOU OFF. read more
