I needed a sewer lateral replacement, because roots had compromise my terra-cotta lateral, and I was tired of renting a snake every couple of years. I got four quotes for the job from various companies. Juan of NexGen gave by far the lowest quote. Juan said that he was not trying to make a killing on each individual job, he just wanted to keep his crew working. Other bids came in at almost twice the price. In addition, the other bidders said that they may need to move numerous pavers in order to complete the job. Started the weekend with a clogged sewer pipe. Shower didn't drain and toilet was gurgling. Called a few places and either wouldn't give a price to run a snake or couldn't come until tomorrow. Last Friday, the odder from my basement smell worse and worse. I enter to my basement and found the pipe under was broken and leaking. Contacted 5 plumbing contractors due to a waterline leak. Juan with Nexgen was the only contractor to actually come to the property and thoroughly assess the problem. In the blazing hot sun, he and his crew dug out several locations to ascertain where the water leak was originating. He provided 2 possible scenarios, costs, and timelines for completion. He and his crew returned the next day and promptly completed the job in a thorough, professional manner AND left the property cleaned. As a apartment manager for over 40 years, I absolutely recommend this company for any and all plumbing issues; I truly believe he is honest and forthright; as such, deserving of praise and all future work. Cannot say the same for the other contractors; 2 never returned calls or provided an estimate, 1 who charged a service charge without prior notification AND directed me to contact 811 for them to determine the leak (811 does not do this), and another contractor who offered a discount if I bypassed the company and paid him directly (shady as heck). I used Juan before he started his own company. He was always the go to guy there as well. There is nothing that stumps him and I have a few old pieces of property.
