Allstar Donuts gets all the stars from me. For years, my fiance and I have passed by this place on the way to Safeway but never went in. On today's rare occasion, we both had free time on a Sunday morning and just so happened to mutually crave donuts. Before even coming in, the first thing that I appreciated is that the floor is marked so that all customers can be safely distanced. I love when restaurants do this knowing that there is going to be a line. This is awesome. They do Covid right. As soon as we step foot in, we were immediately greeted with great energy. Feeling welcome right when we come in always fills my heart. An added bonus is that they accept credit cards. This is a first for me when it comes to donut shops. Now for the donuts. We ordered chocolate, maple, glaze, and sugar--all of which were fantastic. I haven't had donuts like this since I was a kid. Every bite was soft on the inside and full of flavor on the top. The sugar was a little different than traditional sugar donuts. Is that cinnamon in? Whatever it was it tasted amazing and definitely caught me by surprise. Overall the donuts were fresh and amazing. Thank you Allstar donuts for being cheerful and open during these turbulent times. We'll make sure that we fly in more often. read more

Donuts are one of my favorite things to eat because it's impossible to just eat one. Especially when you buy a dozen. I literally ate two on the car ride home (thanks to my fiance who drove us there) HAHA. FIVE STARS for AllStar Donuts! First time coming here with my fiance and we had a great experience. They follow COVID19 guidelines by marking the floor to ensure that everyone is standing 6ft apart. Donuts were delicious. We bought a dozen of donuts, 3 chocolate, 3 maple, 3 sugar, and 3 glaze - YUMMY! The donuts were soft and the glaze was not too sweet, just the perfect amount that leaves you wanting more. We also bought coffee and it was made fresh - we only had to wait 2 minutes. Perfect pairing for a donut or milk. Overall, really enjoyed the donuts and coffee we bought at AllStar Donuts. We will definitely come back for our next donut craving. read more

Family owned donut shop that has been around for years. Donuts are always fresh. Hours are inconsistent as they don't always open when they say and definitely close as soon as they run out of donuts (usually before noon). Went in today around 9:30am and was charged $27 for a dozen donuts. Price is steep but so is everything nowadays. Donuts were fluffy and perfectly sweet. Customer service is lacking but the quality of donuts makes up for that. read more

Wow, a line outside this donut shop at around 11 am on a Saturday. I didn't expect that. So, obviously I made a good life decision to visit this place as it looked pretty popular among the locals. They only allowed 2 parties to be inside the shop at once (big yay to the social distancing guidelines!), and the Chinese lady/shop-owner helping us was very friendly and nice. After minutes of deciding between an apple fritter and a glazed donut, I decided to go with a classic donut with chocolate glaze. And man oh man, was the donut heavenly. The donut was fresh, the bread was soft and fluffy - it was so good! The glaze to me was just perfect, it wasn't too thin or too thick and it wasn't too sweet. At $1.50 apiece it was a good treat, and I would come back again and try their apple fritter. Oh by the way, and their coffee was strong! read more

All Star donuts is my new go to donut shop been here a few times now and I seriously have some really amazing fresh donuts I am a chocolate and glaze type of donut guy and they have some really delicious tasty fluffy donuts. The service is nice and friendly here very kind. Pretty small shop not much of an ambiance setting but a nice place to pick up some donuts on the go. read more

Since it was still early, a donut run came to mind. We drove a little further out and decided on Allstar Donuts in the Countrywood Shopping Center near CVS. Allstar is open for takeout only between 5:30 am and 1 pm. My husband doesn't like to stray from his favorite spots but I insisted we come here this time for our donut craving. The owner was very friendly and greeted us with a smile. The donuts are light and fluffy. They are on the sweeter side than we're used to but they are still yummy. Because Allstar is located in Walnut Creek, their prices are also higher. I spent around $26 for the donuts I purchased. read more

AllStar Donuts is the best donut place I've been to in Walnut Creek! I've been here a few times since moving to the area, but it's my first time being there since the pandemic began. I appreciate that there are spots on the ground outside and inside to show where to stand to keep a safe distance as it can get pretty busy. I was there this morning and there were about 5 people ahead of me, but the line moved by quickly. I was out of there in less than 8 minutes! The donuts taste delicious and great quality. Picked up some donuts for the family. Kids loved the sprinkle donuts and bear claws. Will return again to grab some delicious donuts. Tip: they have arrows too enter and exit. Don't make the mistake of exiting where you entered. read more

Best donut shop in and around Walnut Creek. My husband and I grew up in Southern California and finding comparable donuts is hard. We had our spot in Antioch when we lived out there and now this is our go to spot. The donuts are just always fresh and well made. The place is clean and the owners are awesome. Happy national donut day y'all! Came in to get some donuts for my office for national donut day. I could have easily went to Dunkin since it's closer but wanted some good old fashioned donuts. Literally. Came at 7:58 am. Line was out the door, that's a good sign or hence it being the day n all. However reviews say the line is always out the door. The case didn't have a huge selection like I've seen but I'm guessing they were selling out quick but we're also replenishing standard glazed and jelly filled. Bought a dozen and called it a day. 4 stars for friendly, efficient service and warm fresh glazed. read more

This review is solely based on the glazed donut. The glazed donut was soft and melt in your mouth delicious. It had the perfect amount of glaze and that glaze crust that breaks up when you bite into it! The size of the donut is perfect, not too small or too big. I will defiantly keep buying donuts here. The store hours are only in the morning and they have Apple Pay or tap pay. I went on a Friday morning and there was no line. read more

i'm not sure if this was the owner working behind the counter but my friend and i went and he consistently commented on her breasts. she has a tattoo that says "loved" on her chest which she got from her mom and he commented on it saying that her mom "loved" her boobs. strike one, absolutely inappropriate. THEN, when we got our donuts he'd said that we wouldn't be needing milk with them (hinting at her breasts). he made my friend extremely uncomfortable and we are never coming here ever again. read more

Stopped by here on a Saturday morning to grab some donuts for a day trip & was very pleased! Donuts were absolutely delicious. I forgot how good donuts are and I'll need to come back here again. We got donut holes, maple bar, and apple fritter. They were delicious and exactly what you'd want to fulfill your donut craving. No complaints! They are taking COVID restrictions extremely well. Different doors for entering/exiting, tape to organize and distance, all that. The employees are doing great also. We asked for a knife and they took all the precautions with using napkins and such to give it to us. I felt so comfortable coming here - especially since I haven't felt comfortable at all the places in this same complex... Love this place, love the people running it, and will definitely be coming back many more times! read more

I am a cop and I love donuts. I LOVE DONUTS!! There, I said it. Before you start laughing, there is a story behind cops and donuts. Back in the early 20th century, many European immigrants landed in the Greater New York area and a few of them started selling fried dough as a snack. Cops back then had to walk their beats. During those blistering cold winter nights, coffee shops that served donuts were the only options for cops to get something to eat and stay out of the cold during those ungodly graveyard hours. So you see, the legend of cops and donuts was actually born out of necessity. Ladies and gentlemen, next time you see a cop, REFRAIN from bringing up the cops and donuts joke! Instead, tell him or her how much YOU like donuts. That may just be the key of getting out of a traffic citation...:-P Now back to the review...whenever we have training or details, I always pick up donuts and coffee for my officers and Allstar Donuts is my go-to spot. They are a good old-fashioned donut shop so you will not see any specialty donuts here. Their classic donuts are always fresh and delicious. They run about 90 cents a piece. It's a little bit more expensive than some other places but the freshness more than makes up for it. The owners are super friendly and they really take care of their customers. Again, I LOVE DONUTS! If loving donuts is wrong, then I don't want to be right! Maybe I will see you there next time! BONUS MATERIAL: - The slang term "Cop" actually stands for "Constable on Patrol". - Check their business hours before you go since sometimes they close early. - On Sundays, get there early, as they run out of donuts quick. read more

First time coming here, it clearly states online and on their own front door that it should be open right now (it is Sunday at noon), and they are completely closed with no sign saying what happened. This is the third donut place I've gone to today trying to find a chocolate old fashioned donut, and I'm very upset that I won't get one because they are inexplicably closed. My fave donut place over here. Donuts are nice and fluffy. I came here at about 730 this morning and the case was still packed. There was a line of about 4 people in front of me, but it went super fast. I was originally going to wait in my car, but I saw people start parking soon after I got there, so I jumped out hella fast. This place is the BESSSTTTTTT!!!! Amazing service always and delicious, soft, airy and light pillowy donuts. Best glazed donuts ever and delicious cake donuts as well. They're only open until 1 PM since COVID so that makes me sad but I always find an excuse to drive by here and visit and grab a donut. Want a delicious all American glazed donut? I love this donut shop! I've been limiting my visits to no more than once a week (I swear donuts are evil), which is hard to do considering their donuts are always light and fresh. No heavy oily residue here! My stomach is very sensitive to greasy foods and I never have any issues with these. My favorites are the chocolate raised (especially fresh out the fryer) and the glazed old fashioned. The twists and buttermilk are also yummy. I can't take the apple fritter much cuz of said stomach problems but they're good in small portions. What's cool is the owner is a huge Warriors fan, so when they won the title last year (crossing my fingers for this year) he decorated the donuts with blue and yellow sprinkles. It's just a fun, family run place. At times they can run out of the good donuts on Fridays if there are a lot of dozen orders, so go early! read more

Best donuts in Contra Costa, possibly the east bay. The proprietor finally "took a day off" and is now closed on Mondays. Get in before 1000 am for the best selection of donuts. The coffee is solid too and they offer a small breakfast croissant menu. read more

One of the coolest parts is being able to see a lot of the baking process happening right there. You can tell they really care about quality seen that freshly baked one-to-one beauty laying in front of you and their customers, who are always happy! Definetely one of the best donut spots around Lamorinda.

Something wrong with the store owner/manager's attitude. I understand parts of Cambodian language (Khmer) from my time in Peace Corps and was appalled by these 5 things that occurred on my visit to the store on Friday 05/27/2016 morning about 10 AM: - Dough nuts are stored and not freshly baked. There is excess sugar coating on the regular dough nuts (unglazed ones). - Owner or manager used the f word multiple times on seeing me in private Khmer conversations with his wife. I am African American. - Owner or manager did not thank me for the service. - Owner or manager did not offer to seat my wife or kids after purchasing the dough nut pack. - Owner or manager used multiple derogatory references to Oakland which we are not from. May be, we should check on the validity of the immigration statuses of these folks and their stinky racist attitudes instead of allowing them to show their blatant xenophobia on minority and even middle-class Americans.
