My customer service interactions with the front desk since then, however, have been awful. I am relatively young and new to the insurance world--I learned while at the Town Hall that my insurance card expired two months ago. I called D&H and the woman on the other end came off as very rude, I felt she was yelling at me and scolding me. Apparently my coverage lapsed in April and they sent me mail about it--but I never received that mail. I had mail from the address I signed up with forwarded to my new one, although I had not yet informed the insurance company of my new address (thought the post office forwarding would work in the mean time). The woman came off as accusatory--she seemed to be yelling at me and told me I should have let them know about my change of address, and now my rates will be higher because almost no one will take a client who has lapsed in coverage. I should have let them know sooner, yes, but the way she spoke to me made me feel defensive and attacked. I also want an insurance company that will try to reach me with more than just a letter (phone call, maybe) if there is an extra form I have to fill out that I wasn't aware of before my coverage lapsed. You'd think they would have called me if I had to do something to keep my coverage. They've lost my business

They fight for you with Workmen's Comp. is trying to overcharge you. They search new rates for you every single year. I even heard a rumor that the owner of this family business has let a customer use her personal vehicle they had a car accident.
