I mentioned it to my brother who said I shouldn't need rotors with 50k miles, and I only drive locally 3-4k miles per year. I took it to my old mechanic in Atlanta. He verified I didn't need rotors. I contacted NuBrakes from the internet. The tech came to my apartment complex. He inspected the rotors and pads said I DID NOT need rotors. He replaced the pads for $212.24. I thought I could trust this place, but I was wrong. Now that I think about it. In 2023 I was told my 2015 Nissan Sentra needed a full brake job which I paid $800+. It had only 40k miles. Knowing what I know now; I feel I was deceived and taken advantage of. I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Just because I am a senior female doesn't give them the right to take advantage of me.

After being a client of State Farm for 20 + years, we made a move to Allstate- for cost…read more.. Well you get what you pay for. After being laid off from work in June, I called and asked if we could move our paydate to match the final pay from my job. ( OUR MONTHLY PAYMENT IS AUTO DEBITED AND HAS NEVER BEEN LATE). I was advised that was fine, and it would be allowed to simply pay double the following month, so that is what I did. Paid double the next month and all was well... Untill.. A few months later our Bill went up $50 a month- that's $600 for the year!! After calling and asking what happened, they said we lost a "pay on time" discount. I explained we were never explained about the loss of any discount should we change our pay-date for 1 month... and our payments are auto debited! Arguing- they are left to assume I'm lying. Infuriates me and the refuse to reconsider the discount. So we will be leaving Allstate- specifically this agency. My advice? Do business with those who appreciate and treat you well. Our business is not worth their fixing THEIR error and failure to disclose the increase on our policy.
