We've only had them spray inside once (first visit) and it didn't smell toxic. What I really appreciated when I first reached out to them is that the owner talked to me himself. He took the time to explain everything and patiently answer all my questions. I also liked how they offered a complimentary vulnerability assessment during the initial visit. Basically looked around the exterior of the home and noted potential areas where bugs can enter. It wasn't extremely thorough but for a free service that essentially works against them, it was pretty helpful. The techs are always really nice and easy to talk to.

After talking to a few pest companies, not only did they get the species of ants wrong (acrobat vs carpenter) which affects the bait being used, but they also can't get their story straight. I contacted them about an ant infestation inside my home. The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service.

I spoke to rep, Cameron, at (972) 391-7834 and to cust serv rep, Kayla, who both confirmed tech, Aubray Rivera, of Barefoot Mosquito & Pest Control was still confirmed to render service, as scheduled and agreed to today. I have all receipts, time stamps, and recordings of these conversations. Unfortunately, as of this writing, it is 4:07pm on Monday, June 8, 2026, and still no word from the Barefoot Mosquito & Pest Control technician...and these guys have my credit card on file...and I took off 4 hours of work today to commit to being present for my service as we agreed and was stood up. Our favorite part is you can shoot them a quick text with a picture of the problem, and they'll schedule an appointment, all over text! We pay for the regular treatments, but if critters start popping up between the service, they'll come out and re-treat (usually for free) - we cannot recommend Stride enough, if you're on the fence and reading this right now, you won't make the wrong decision to go with Stride. All of the technicians have been stellar, but specifically I wanted to mention Burton - he has come to our house on multiple occasions and is always very polite, informative and thorough. Burton always goes the extra mile to check everything out around the house before he leaves, beyond the areas we've mentioned, and always chats with me on his way out to let me know what was applied, how it was applied, and any follow up steps (an engineer's dream). He even mentioned we should shoot him/Stride a text in 1-2 weeks to let him know if our attic ant issue is resolved. Thank you Burton!
