We chose Alltex for our home inspection based on a recommendation. Little did we know Steve Perry would be an absolute god send. Steve's meticulous inspection revealed significant possible issues with our potential new home's stucco, and when a rookie stucco inspector failed to perform a thorough invasive inspection, Steve personally followed up with that inspector to ask why certain areas weren't checked. He then used his network to schedule us with a reputable company and an experienced stucco inspector the very next day. Mind you, Steve's job was DONE once he sent us his general home inspection report. He absolutely did not have to continue to follow up on our home inspections with specialists, nor stay as connected throughout the whole process. However, this home inspector and his company were truly invested in our comfort and went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were taken care of. I can not thank you enough, Steve. Writing an excellent review is the least we can do to thank you for helping us through the stressful process of buying out first home. I had Stephen inspect a townhouse for me. First of all he was a nice guy and he answered all my questions clearly and thoroughly. The buying process was stressful but the inspections were easy and informative. I was satisfied at the time of the inspection and I am satisfied now just after closing on the house. Stephen also has a bunch of cool testing tools that look for heat loss and the levelness of the foundation. If I decide to move to the burbs in the future I will definitely call Alltex again. I wrote a bad review for this company a year ago because they double booked us. We took off work to be there and when he didn't show, we called and he said he had screwed up. When my husband and I was nice enough to take a later appointment that day Steve got in an accident. We waited and waited and didn't hear from him. When we called frustrated since Steve stood us up twice in one day he yelled at us and told us to go find another inspector. I understand that the accident must have been frustrating but when you rely on a business to commit to what you've hired them to do, you would think they would show some humility and at least an apology. This was during our Option Period so we literally almost didn't get our home inspected in time because of Steve. Our realtor has decided not to recommend him again because of how we were treated. My review has been removed off their page somehow. He sent me a msg asking for me to remove my bad review and told me he would give me a free inspection in return. When I didn't respond, he contacted my husband and tried to bribe him with a $25 gift card! BE AWARE!! This guy is not honest and he is tricking everyone into thinking he does good business by getting rid of his bad reviews. After looking at some other companies and feeling that they were a bit high as far as price goes. I called Stephen and I am so glad I did. Not only very nice and professional, but detailed and very affordable. Stephen arrived 15 minutes earlier, and answered all of my questions with not problem. Stephen meticulously went through all aspects of the house (attic to roof). I was very impressed with his diligence. He even waited for my husband to arrive so he could re-explain the issues. Very nice guy! The report he gave us included detailed explanations and pictures. His recommendations were easy to understand and made it easier for us when it came to asking for fixes on the home. I hired Stephen to do a home inspection for a home that I was purchasing. Stephen showed up on time. Throughout the inspection, he was constantly giving me feedback in explaining what he was looking for and why he was looking for it as well as maintenance tips and suggestions. In the end, I received a comprehensive 69-page report with annotated pictures explaining the findings and all the maintenance tips mentioned above. I have used home inspectors in the past that seem are not nearly as thorough. Stephen is the best and definitely worth the money. It is too bad that I don't need a home inspector that often because I would like to hire him again. read more

I can't begin to explain how satisfied I am with Stephen Perry. He inspected my very first home 2 years ago when I moved to Houston for residency. My prior satisfaction is what led me to Stephen again for my second home purchase. Firstly, he was very accommodating in scheduling his visit during a time that worked with my busy residency program. Not only was he prompt, his inspection was thoughtful, measured, and comprehensive. While inspecting all four levels of our potential town home purchase, including climbing onto our accessible roof, he explained what he found and answered all of my questions about potential issues. Any questions that I didn't ask as to not interrupt his workflow were answered in his detailed inspection which came ten hours earlier than he promised! His inspection report, as with last time, was beyond thorough and provided helpful maintenance tips for the home to prevent further damage. We are still considering whether we will move forward with this home purchase, given all of the issues Stephen discovered with the home. If it wasn't for his work, we may be stepping blindly into a home that may need more work than we can afford. I can say this with confidence because when I examined another company's inspection report of a neighbor who lives in the same townhome complex, I noted that it was not nearly as thorough and detailed as Stephen's report. Can't thank Steve and his staff enough for the great service they gave us. It was our first move to the country, so had to deal with things like septic and wells. After kindly rescheduling to meet our tough work and realtor schedule, he first did a THOROUGH job on home and pool, much more detailed reports than I'd seen from other inspectors in the past. We are first-time home buyers and my colleague happened to refer Stephen to do a final top to bottom home inspection before signing on my final walk-through. I called up Stephen and he did have a personal emergency to attend at that time. However, he managed his personal emergency and made time for me. Stephen was scheduled at 1 pm on a Thursday and he came on time with another associate. Both just started from the first second. Stephen patiently explained and answered all my questions. He found some real interesting flaws like shingles on the roof, leaks on the sink, improper insulation on the roofs. attic insulation, frame inspection, he covered the whole yard front and back. Stephen took his time and didn't rush. Also I gave him the money thinking he was done but even after taking the money, he got back to his work and spend another 30 mins. Steve took all thermal images to check insulation. He sent me a digital report with all images in a professional looking layout that too within 24 hours. I must say, Stephen is a very thorough professional and we are very pleased with his work. We will call him before our one year warranty is close to expiration.
