I went to this salon today based on their rating! There was only one lady available and even though I did a simple manicure the results where shocking. Before I started I told her that I do not want her to use the electric sanding tool at all if possible or as little as possible. But I still had to stop and guide her through each step on how not to use the electrical sanding tool. Then she did a lousy job of cleaning my cuticles. I did not complaint and left after she told me my nails are dry. This is what happened through the next hour after I left!!!! read more

Came here on a Monday afternoon to get my nails done and there was only one nail tech. I forgot her name so sorry! She was sweet, accommodating and warm. The place was clean and bright. I especially love their massage chairs, getting a good massage while getting a pedicure was so worth it. My tech suggested the right colors for my nails after I shared with her some photos that I saw online. After, we did a small test of two colors and I was able to choose which one I like the best. She put a lot of care in creating the perfect shape that I like and always making sure I'm doing ok. At the end, before leaving, she gave me a pair of flip flops so I don't damage my new pedi. I've been to Allure several times, and the results are always gorgeous and Lindsey and her team here always take amazing care of me! Most especially was the last time I came by the salon-- I had a beautiful almond shaped, emerald green full set put on for my vacation. I received so many compliments on them, see the first photo! After vacation I realized 1. I couldn't type well with the almond shaped nails (so sad, they were so pretty ) and 2. I accidentally snapped off my index finger nail while unpacking Allure took me super last minute, shortened, re-shaped and re-topcoated my nails, fixed myself damaged nail, and sent me on my way free of charge (second photo). Unfortunately I will not be returning as a customer to this salon and caution anyone who has or will purchase a gift certificate from this place. I've been to this location many times over the years, and received 2 gift certificates for $50 each from family for Christmas in 2020. I used one in 2021 and then due to personal/health reasons, didn't get a chance to use my second gift certificate until a few days ago. By law, gift certificates cannot expire in the state of CA so I didn't think twice about being able to use my gift certificate. I received my pedicure and upon payment, they refused the gift certificate saying it was expired because it was purchased in Dec 2020 and only good for one year. I reminded them that CA state law (and I'm pretty sure federal law) prohibits the expiration of gift certificates/gift cards. They still wouldn't accept the gift certificate and I ended up paying, but I'm pretty upset that this business isn't honoring their own gift certificates. It's extremely petty and a bad business practice. I hope my $40 bill was worth it for them to lose a customer, as well as anyone I've ever referred or would have referred to them. Aside from this, the salon itself is in need of a cleaning. There was A LOT of dust on many of the nail polishes and the behind the spa chair. Maybe they can use my $40 to hire someone to give this place a good cleaning. read more

I would rate this place 0 stars, if possible. They cut my pinky nail too short and I couldn't stop bleeding, worst part is, the owner was doing my nails and she didn't even look sorry or feel bad for doing it. She still charged me. To add insult to injury, her daughter is the receptionist and is incredibly rude. When I call or when I'm there she always has an attitude. She always make sure to emphasize that we need to bring cash for tip. Does she know that tipping is optional? I always tip anyway, but I think that's a little tacky to make your customers bring cash, we can always put it on our card or tip a little extra if needed (if they're so concerned about the credit card processing fee). Julie and Michelle always do my nails. I drive from Irvine to get them done here. I'm very picky about my nails and the environment that I do my nails at. This place is so cozy and pretty. It's super clean. The ladies who work here are so incredibly sweet. The first time I was getting my nails done here, I had requested silk nails. The owner immediately got back to me and offered to make a special trip to pick me up some supplies for my desired nails. I was so impressed with the service that I immediately had a good impression of the way this establishment is run. I found a design in the pictures and I went in, baby and all. He was fine for most of the service but once I was getting the design, he got fussy. Not only did the ladies do an amazing job on my nails but they also helped me calm him down by feeding and strolling him around! I came once before and it was an ok job. Decided to give it another shot. I asked for pink with silver star decals. I showed the nail rep the picture and he said he could do it. After two hours, I examined my nails and was horrified. I got in the car and half the stars had some off and it was almost have an inch thick. I had a babysitter so needed to get home. Went back two days later and they refused to fix them. They said they would charge me $25 dollars. She was very rude. I went to another salon where the ladies literally laughed at how thick my nails were. It took them an hour to fix my acrylic and repaint the gel. I will never ever come back and neither will my friends. Edit to owners response: I would have chosen the same color, just not 6 coats of clear. Please see attached photos of the botched nail job. Every person who saw my nails agreed it was an awful job all around. And now the owner is questioning "my morals"! If you want a good laugh, please read the owners responses to the other bad reviews. Nothing is ever their fault. Their response has made me feel the need to express my disappointment even further. So good job! Edit again to additional owners response: you never discussed how thick the nails would be. I never requested a fill? Why would I want a fill on thick nails like this? I requested to file down the thickness and re add the same color. You said "ya that will be $25 to fix". After the first nail was done I said it looked fine and then the 5 layers of clear went on. I came to this nail salon for a full set out of pure desperation and I am so happy that I did! I was kindly and warmly greeted by the gal at the front desk (I forgot her name - sorry!) and she helped me choose between gel and acrylics. I am very particular about how I like my nails shaped bc my real nails grow flat and upwards and it's hard to shape them to my preference; however, Anna did an EXCELLENT job!!!! I have zero complaints! I live in north Orange County, but her work is so good I may consider driving here for my fills! If you are lucky to live or work in the area and are looking for an experienced nail tech who understands the nail apex, definitely see Anna! My family have been coming to this salon for years. So it was only appropriate to book a bridal party here for my sister. We arrived to see the salon was short staffed and not ready to accommodate us. Understandable with the pandemic and jobs We totally understood short staff. But Unfortunately because they were short staffed the Owner made us feel unwelcome. Pedicures felt rushed. There was only one women to do tips. Only Plus side they did give us the whole salon and champagne that was nice. We were charged way to much for a suppair job. Here is the worst part of the experience, Besides feeling like a burden. The Owner who works the desk and set the appts up was trashing talking the mother of the bride and I am sure a few others in our group ( yes we had a translator there and she told us all at dinner that evening) She sat on her phone the entire time in-between the eyerolls and rude comments. The whole experience felt rushed unwelcoming. The bride was so happy to bring her friends and family to a salon she loved only to find out she was unwelcome and talked badly about. Shame on You. The technician that helped me was helping someone else when I arrived and any one of the four employees lounging around could have easily helped her out and answered the phone while seeing that she was busy with a client. And there was a woman who could not open champagne for a guest, after she complained about how the client needed to have it now, she needed to pull away my technician to help her with that when again, there are employees not with clients everywhere. I know everyone has a technique that works for them but to listen to the nail tech complain about another nail tech's work is so unprofessional especially when you did not even fix the problem. I'm not sure if you remember the experience but I'm almost sure you were the one who did my nails. My nail tech's name was Mimi and she had Sam finish up the second and clear coat. If she couldn't fix it, then she shouldn't have tried to cover it up with dip powder and charge me even after knowing the service requested had not been performed. I called and asked if the salon had time to fix a broken nail and color change, if you didn't, you should have said no or asked me to make an appointment. I guess making a quick dollar is more important than retaining customers. read more

Definitely not worth spending your money on if you do acrylic nails. Horrible experience. Asked multiple times for a "narrow square" shape and left with lumpy, barely square shape. Asked the tech to redo the shape multiple times and she basically lightly filed the side and just made it worse. Also asked for the corners to not be rounded several times and she decided to round them anyway. Say there for 2 hours for the lousiest refill Ive ever gotten. Totally ruined the original shape I already had. Not to mention the pedicure water was freezing cold and I was left hanging mid pedi. Overall bad experience. Spent over $100 for a crappy job.
