Been trying out new nail salons and I think I found the one! Julie did a perfect royal blue pedicure on me. The salon is cute and clean and conveniently located -- very friendly and organized. If you're looking for a no-fuss spot to get your nails done, No. 1 Nails hits the mark. I usually get a gel builder mani and a regular gel pedi - $110 for the combo, which is reasonable for OC. The service is fast, friendly, and efficient, and the staff actually seems happy to be there, which is always a plus. The salon isn't super fancy, but it's always clean, comfortable, and easy to park at - so no stress before your appointment. LOVE IT HERE! I came in today as a walk-in, not knowing what to expect. I saw them on maps and they're amazing rating and can vouch for them they are wonderful. I showed Lynn what I wanted via a photo and she went above and beyond giving me more than I expected her precision when it comes to shaping and cleanup was amazing and I've been searching for attack like this for so long. We have never been to this nail salon before and we decided to try it for the first time. They said it would only take 10 mins and after 40 mins of waiting and forever with soaking feet they finally helped us. If they couldn't make it work they should have at least told us but instead ignored us. My daughter was crying because no one was helping her for so long. I would definitely not come back after that experience today. Then she wanted to charge us $30 for just paying my daughter's toes and soaking them in water which was bizarre. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody, especially with how Management is. read more

Came here to get a pedicure on a Tuesday. I had an appointment and was seated immediately upon arrival. I appreciated this as sometimes salons are not on schedule. I was taken care of by Helen! She was very sweet and funny. She did an excellent job on my pedicure. She cleaned very thoroughly and painted very neatly. The five minute massage felt great. Usually people just rub your feet and don't give you a decent foot massage. She did amazing and I was very happy with my pedicure. I recommend this nail salon and Helen if you're able to request her! read more

I was in the area and needed a quick pedicure. I called and they quickly made me an appointment which was very nice so I could walk in and get my service done. I have sensitive cuticles so I let the nail tech know and wow did she give me an amazing pedicure. She was gentle and took her time. She was very neat with the polish. I am very happy with my pedicure everyone was really nice so I'll definitely stop by whenever I'm in the area. read more

I'm originally from Long Beach and visiting Laguna, so I was a bit nervous about finding a new nail spot, but I am so glad I found this place. The reviews really do speak for themselves and I'm happy to add another 5 star rating to the mix. I called just a day before and they were able to squeeze me in which was so helpful. Jane did my nails and she was incredible. I came in for a builder gel fill and her attention to detail was amazing. She was also super sweet when I realized I didn't love the first color I picked out and she helped me find the perfect new shade without any hesitation. Beyond the nails, Jane is just hilarious. We chatted the whole time and she even called her daughter to help me find a good matcha spot nearby. It was a 10/10 experience and I will for sure be back next time I'm in town. read more

I used to live in OC and No 1 nails was the only salon I would go to. I have since moved to Nevada and have had a very hard time finding anyone who knows how to do a good set of powder dip nails that hold up. I was recently back in town and had my nails done again. Probably one of the worst gel manicures I've had. 2 days after getting my nails done, the polish starting chipping so I called and the manager told me to come back in so that they could fix them for me. I came back in and they redid them and again, 4 days later the polish is chipping! I have been getting gel manicures for years and I never have had this happen, especially twice. I would never return. read more

The manager contacted me to rectify the situation but incorrectly stated that there are no male nail technicians. I thought about going back but the experience was too stressful that I decided just to start over and redo my nails at home. I would recomend anyone visiting this salon to have a picture of the design and not just wing it like I did. Either that or do not get a design. Good luck to everyone at the nail salon. I called to make an appointment for 4:30 pm on a Tuesday. After seeing the ratings and reviews on Yelp, I decided to give this place a try. The staff were friendly, and the establishment was clean. However, despite arriving on time, I had to wait at least 15 - 20 minutes due to a staffing shortage. The manager was apologetic about the delay, especially since one of the staff was also working on her pedicure and was scheduled to do mine right after. I got the deluxe cozy pedicure, which costs about $49 (not including tip or tax). Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but I'd recommend allowing for a bit of extra time if they're short-staffed. Overall this place is good, quick and all the staff were friendly. read more

The grow out has been very minimal from my first service. The technician made sure to properly match the gel x nails with my nail shape and filed them down on the sides if needed to fit. Was a bit disappointed they didn't offer to turn my massage chair on upon my arrival or offer a beverage during my service but will ask next time. After reviewing the inspo pic the technician gave me a quote of the amount $95 for the services which I was grateful he did before hand so i want surprised when i went to pay. Update: I returned the next day to have the gel x set removed and the manager insisted I not ask for a refund but get a gc instead and then told me she was doing me a favor by even attempting to correct the issue. She argued with me for some time- very poor customer service. There was also so much plastic and glue still on my nails when I left that I had to remove myself when I got home. Originally I had no issues with the pedicure until a piece of the gel from my big toe chipped off when I put lotion on because that polish was also not cured. All around terrible two day ordeal. This was my first time in the salon. The pedicure was nice- I have no complaints. The manicure was very unfortunate and I left unhappy. One of the new gel x tips the nail tech applied popped off mid service, my nails are bubbly and smudged, the shape is lopsided, I left with gel polish all over my hands and when I asked that the nail tech use acetone to remove it she use a nail file on the top of my hand and it is still red and sore. Multiple nails had to be repainted as the polish was goopped on and could not cure. I would not recommend or return. read more

I got a gel manicure and am not happy with the quality of it. When the manicure was done, not all of my dry skin surrounding my cuticles was removed, but I let it go because they were pretty busy. However, within a week of having my manicure the gel is peeling away from my nail! I spent over $100 including tip for a gel manicure and regular pedicure and for the gel to already be peeling away is unacceptable. I will never return to this business. read more

Upset about the manager who so rudely said I was only cut bc they needed to remove my gel nail polish... I have located the local franchise owner and I am sad that my only recourse now is to file a smalls claims case and also file a complaint with the BBB and the State of California for financial fraud. They cannot extract money from my financial institution and then refuse to provide service nor a refund I am guessing this is finial punishment for my review on Yelp. This is very shocking to say the least and supre unprofessional which is right in line with this local franchise. I have been member of EWC for almost 16 years and never before have I experienced anything close to this level of unprofessionalsim and fraudulent and punitive behavior. Its outrageous!

The waxing process probably took about 20 min., if that. i am so happy with the result, i ended up making another appointment for next month! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try waxing instead of shaving, especially if its your first time. =)

Almost 2 days later my neck is still sore, my scalp still hurts...a lot. Also I got a bruise on my leg from her massage. I think her intent was good, helping with knots etc. but she lacks understanding of the human body. The way she just pour cold oil on me from the bottle and worked so hard. It was like she was aggressively cleaning a dead fish. I wish I could give them a better review but I honestly do feel a little traumatized from this experience

My girlfriend and I stopped by this nail salon in Laguna Niguel and had an amazing experience! She got a mani-pedi and I ended up getting a pedicure too (first time in a while, and definitely won't be the last after this). The customer service was top-notch everyone was friendly and welcoming. They made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in. My girlfriend loved how her nails turned out super. She's really picky with her nails and walked out smiling, so that says a lot. Lisa (the manager) does my nails and Cindy (formerly Lisa) does my pedicure. Both ladies do amazing, fast work. My hands and feet always look perfect! The shop is clean and well organized. The girls go not chatter and make one feel uncomfortable or wonder what kind of comments are being made about them. All of the ladies are very professional and kind and do not up-sell constantly...just a simple offer and then they move on. Came here a few years ago after being very unhappy with the place I was going. I walked in, no appt. and they were wonderful! Very friendly and super hygienic! Dear Tam, I just read your post -- as well as the experiences of many other dissatisfied customers…read morelike me who've rated your shop one star. To be clear, I'd been a customer for a while. My complaint only concerned this one incident -- caused either by carelessness or incompetence. I believe it was the latter (I've had pedicures at many other places and nothing remotely like this has ever happened before.) The only occasion Joyce previously worked on me was to massage my neck. Frankly, I don't think she's a trained pedicurist, but the shop was busy on June 10th and it seems she helped out. If she was trained, then I cannot imagine any reputable school ever approving the evidence of her work on me. Allow me to correct a few of the "facts" you've been led to believe: Tam: During your pedicure on June 10th, your service was completed safely without any clipping incidents, no pain was reported, nor did any bleeding occur on-site. The fact is, I did feel pain but said nothing. I felt more pain after Joyce treated my wound and awkwardly lifted my leg which hurt my knee. I let out a yell that everyone heard and told her not to touch me any more! You don't know when bleeding began. Since she was inches from my feet it seems likely that Joyce noticed something but said nothing. As previously noted, I had not noticed blood myself until I returned home and looked closely with my glasses. I then took the attached photo, as shown on June 10th to Elysian. The time stamp clearly shows it was taken at 1:06 pm -- just minutes after I left your shop. Tam: Our staff performed basic first aid. expressed genuine sympathy for your discomfort - this was an act of care, not an admission of causing harm Your legal disclaimer is noted! However, both Elysian and Joyce apologized and both treated my injury. I appreciated their concern -- but instead of taking responsibility for poor work, Elysian tried to convince me the nail wasn't as bad as it looked!! As noted before, it was only after she cleaned it that one cause of the wounds became more apparent. In retrospect I can understand her reluctance (and now yours) to admit wrongdoing in order to avoid possible legal action for personal injury -- but with better customer service this issue would probably have been resolved and a customer kept instead of alienated. Tam: Your tablet wallpaper showed a nail condition that appeared to pre-date your service with us. You're asserting that my nail looked this way *before* the pedicure?! It wasn't wallpaper -- it was a photo taken on my iPad 15 minutes after your staff treated my wound! Again, look at the time stamp on the photo attached. Didn't you look at the photo Elysian took on June 10th? Tam: You threatened legal action. Once litigation is threatened, our salon policy requires us to stop direct dialogue. As noted previously, on June 10th Elysian promised to contact "David, the owner of the business" (no mention of your name) and get back to me. I called her late that day to see if she had spoken with him. She made excuses why she had not, and it seemed evident she had no intention of actually doing that. I said IF she failed to do so and get me an answer, then legal action might be the only recourse. Tam: At Pro Nails Spa, the safety, hygiene, and well-being of our guests are our highest priorities. We take all feedback seriously. I'm glad to hear that. As the Business Owner of Pro Nails Spa, the buck stops with you. You ought to be appalled and ashamed when seeing the photos of my toe. It's obvious to anyone that it's a terrible mess! It clearly shows: 1. my nail was cut way too short, 2. the cuts/grazes on top layers of skin which exposed tiny underlying blood vessels, and 3. where a cut was made into the hyponychium -- which no well-trained pedicurist would ever do. Moreover, you evidently feel no compunction in taking full payment for what was photographically proven to be a botched job! I asked Elysian "would you pay someone who'd injured you?" She chose to not answer. You've offered no apology -- instead resorted to victim blaming, which (metaphorically) rubs salt in the wound. Quite frankly Tam, it's come as no surprise to find that Pro Nails Spa has received so many negative reviews. Sincerely, Peter

All the white lines were uneven, shaky, and didn't extend to the sides. The hard gel was thick, bumpy, and even had bubbles. Price was $180 pre-tip or tax to get the most basic gel pedi without frills (very good 5/5) and the super disappointing gel tip French manicure (2/5). I wish the tech had asked someone for help. However, atmosphere is nice and people are friendly.

I rarely get my nails done but went in, showed her the picture and they were able to do it for me. Came out better than my inspiration in my opinion!! Happy for some nice Christmas nails.
