New nail place in Kingsway. Went here on April 23rd as a walk in client and was greeted right away. The place is new and very clean, two ladies who also came in mentioned how clean it was. The nail tech did a great job, didnt cut my cuticles and shaped my nails nicely. Took approx 30 minutes. Total came go $42.00 which is average for getting shellac polish done. I tried Allure Nails today as I have always passed this nail salon in Kingsway mall. It is located upstairs across from the Sportchek beside Sephora and the Bank of Montreal. I constantly thought to myself that I should try this place out but never had the time to. Today, I finally had the time and reason to and I was not disappointed! The nail salon was really clean and the ladies working here were really friendly and polite. The service I received was quick yet up to my standards. The esthetician that did my nails was Ojo, and she was very friendly and efficient. Not only was she super careful in filing and shaping my nails, she always checked in to ensure that I was comfortable and that I was never experiencing pain or anything at all. Which I really appreciated. Many nail salons that I have gone too, the esthetician work on your nails quickly and don't often check-in to see if you're okay. Overall, I was pleased with how my nails turned out and will definitely coming back to this place! The ladies mentioned that the salon gets pretty busy during the weekends, so your best bet is to make an appointment on the weekends. If you're hoping to drop in, then during the weekdays in the evenings seem to be when they are less busy and you wont have to wait. Also the price here is pretty standard, and definitely better bang for your buck if you're comparing quality of service. They also offer eyelash extensions at this location. I usually dont use that service, but based on the quality of their nails, if I ever decided to get eyelash extensions I would totally give this place a try! read more

As a visitor to Edmonton I found this place in a yelp search. The decor & ambiance is very nice/clean. Love the pedi massage chairs, wasn't impressed with the amount of time/effort and pressure they put in on the foot scrub/exfoliation, massage was rough and didn't use cuticle cream remover or a cuticle oil finish. $63 for a pedi/mani regular polish, I found this a little expensive. read more

My first experience wasn't great, however, I have since returned and I have loved the experience I've had. I get exactly what I want each time, it is a little pricey, but worth it. Kim is fantastic and she always engages in conversation with me, whereas past places I have always felt talked over. She remembers me and we always continue the conversation that we left of from last time, it adds a little personal touch. read more

Pedicure was horriable. When I went to put my socks on I rubbed my heels and dead skin fell off into my hand. She had to redo both my feet. The girl beside me complained to the worker on her feet for the same thing. Not wanting to use the scraper for dead skin. The she was rude as She was finishing up. read more

I made an appointment the day before going and when I got there they totally forgot about my appointment and had already started working on other girls nails and told me to wait and they were really snobby about it and rude. I really wanted to love this place. The ladies are nice and the salon is very clean. However, they RUINED my nails. I went in for Shellac polish...My nails looked very nice but the lady filed my old shellac off and filed them SO thin that all of my nails ripped or broke the following few days. I decided to give them another try. I told the lady about how thin my nails were last time. So she soaked off the shellac this time and did a couple extra coats to strengthen my nails a bit. This time is was GREAT. No ripping or breaking and they looked awesome....So I decided to go back. When I went back I requested the same thing...However this lady just slapped on some extra shellac. My nails looked lumpy, bumpy and horrible. I complained and she took the polish off and re-did them. They were better but still looked pretty bad. I went back the next day and had them re-do them again. This time they looked great however she filed them SOOOOO thin....Even burnt me mulitple times while using the electric file. Its been a few weeks since I went and my nails are in the worst shape they have ever been in. They have all either ripped or broken. As much as I wanted to love this place, I wont be going back. read more

I always used to go here to get my nails done. The staff are nice, you can walk in and get your nails done right away, and they do a good job. However last time I got my nails done they dropped a tool on the ground and proceeded to pick it up and keep using it on me. I was horrified. That is terribly unhygienic and if that's what I see and how unhygienic that is then what's happening that I don't see... that was my last time going to Allure nails. read more

I've been going to see Kim at Allure Kingsway to get my nails done since they opened three years ago. Prior to that, I went to Chi at Allure West Edmonton Mall. I always appreciate the cleanliness of both salons, and the excellent job they do on my nail fills and pedicures. Although I usually go to the Kingsway location because it's closer to my job and house, I recommend both. The ladies are friendly, and get to know their clients. They always strive to do a great job and make their customers happy. The salon is clean and bright, and with two locations, convenient. If you are looking for a new nail tech/salon, give Allure a try! read more

I very rarely get my nails done, because I'm frugal af and can paint my nails quite nicely by myself, thank you very much. A girlfriend invited me for a quick mani at Allure Nails so off I went. I was impressed with the space. Very bright and clean with fun wallpaper and neat light fixtures. The girls who did our nails were polite and friendly. So what's the problem, you ask? I just got a normal manicure, no gem or acrylic. Honest to goodness TWO HOURS after I got home my first nail chipped. The downward slide continued from there and I had three chipped nails by the next day. Pretty much all I did in that time span was take a bath and go to work... at my office job. I paid $21 + tip and half a week later my nails were completely bare. I was shedding orange everywhere and had to remove the rest of the polish. Disappointing and frustrating. I've been coming here for a while I've had a few problems with the tiny little lady who runs the place - she constantly tells me a time to come back when ever I come back at that time they make me wait another 30 to 40 mins . They constantly talk shit in their language and none the less the little lady is full of a horrible attitude and absolutely no skill . I will be at recommend this place to anybody and I pr9bably will never be back and I get my nails done once a week so that's a lot of money they're loosing all because this lady's shit attitude Today she made me come back at 3 pm so I walk in right at 3 and she started 2 lady's that just walked in and has been working on them for 20 minutes while I'm still sitting here waiting and technically I had the appointment because of the time she told me. This was my second time @ the Kingsway location . The first time I had spa pedicure and left extremely pleased so much that asked her name ( Thanh) left her a $20.00 tip and told her I would come back. I returned on Friday March 3rd made a appointment for 3:15 and asked for Thanh once again for a pedicure.. I was given a regular pedi-cure i mentioned that i wanted a spa mostly i wanted my heels shaved a didn't.. When she was almost finished i told her she didn't do my heels she barely did one foot and didn't do the other. I left feeling very dissapointed . I usually go to Urban nails on 82 st(Amazing) and Needed a fill during my lunch break. I wanted the same as I had and the lady made it look similar but horrible job however very clean and welcoming hense why I went in. I got back to work and examined my nails and what I found Nails thick, she dried out my skin with the solution they used, sanded my cuticle where it almost drawn blood and bumpy nails. I Paid $68.50 no tip as the girl didn't say one word to me other then me asking for what I wanted them to look like. I called Kingway and she didn't understand me asking for a manager or supervisor until I said boss Oh never in. I'll fix your nails.. I said I'll keep calling My advice is stick to who does your nails or go see Tem at Urban nails!
