Disappointing Experience with Gift Certificate Redemption I purchased gift certificates from Allure Nails Salon and was excited to give them as a gift to my daughter in law. I've had positive experiences here in the past--the atmosphere is welcoming and the service is generally good. The certificates had no expiration date printed on them Unfortunately, when she tried to redeem them last week, she was informed that the business would not honor it due to expiration. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff was rude in explaining this by just tearing them apart right in front of her and said they would no longer honor them because they don't use that kind anymore and she owed the full amount of her pedicure.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] How embarrassing for me the gift giver. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went by this business the following week to talk to them about the situation and they just didn't care.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I understand businesses have policies, but honoring valid gift certificates builds trust with customers. There are million nail salons around this area but none as good as this one. Make no mistake this isn't a super posh fancy location with champagne and frills but they offer top quality professional service and are universally friendly. We very much appreciate this place as they offer amazing pedicures. The manicured and speciality nails are also good. Highly recommend this place. read more

I used to come to this nail salon when Amy owned it and had a great experience each time. I scheduled an appointment for noon today and the end result was.....my nails look horrible. For the first time in years, I had tips put on to extend my nails just a little bit for the holidays. The tips were not even glued all the way down to my nail so there's a space between the tip and my natural nail. When I brought this to the owners attention, she told me to tell the nail tech that it was for her to deal with. It is the owners responsibility to make sure that her nail technicians are trained not mine. My original nail tech was not successful in shaping my nails. The nails look unnatural, flat, and wide. I then asked Hannah, the owner to please help and shape my nails to appear more natural looking, she did a worse job. I told them to just finish up and I would pay in full. I just wanted to get out of there. I had to go to another salon have everything removed and start all over again. So I had to pay double today for my nails, but sometimes you have to learn your lesson the hard way. I run a business so I can tell you that I would never ever treat customers the way this woman treats people. Do not go to this salon! Go up the road to lovely Nails... They are much more professional, and did a beautiful job. read more

Tried out this salon and they were very nice. However the gel manicure was not done professionally. The soak off was fine. But the application was bad and every one of my nails has air bubbles because the gel would not adhere. I pointed this out while at the salon still and they claimed it was my own nail and to add more layers of polish. Even if the polish they used was not good anymore they should know better. Very disappointed and would rather have no polish on. Will be getting this removed tomorrow. read more

I have received gel manicures that have lasted 5 weeks and the only reason why I have to go back in is because my nails have grown so much. I've never walked out, looked down at my nails, and been so disappointed. I usually get my nails done by Ken. But it seems like they are doing a staff overhaul. I had someone new last time I went and that ended up being ok. But this time my nails look awful. I have dipping powder on my fingers. This time they look cloudy, discolored and one finger, as my husband put it, looks like it was bleached. If I weren't moving later this week and have literally no time to go back, I would bc they look so bad. My husband and I went there on Saturday to get a pedicure. We called first and they said to come right away. They didn't hurt my toes during the pedicure, didn't cut me, and never made me bleed. Prices were reasonable and the place was very clean. The employees spoke very good English. They catered to us the entire time we were there. It was Excellent Service!! I've never cried over nails until today. I had a great experience the first time I went (red nails) and got exactly what I asked for! I loved the red nails. The issue every other time I've gone was the inconsistency in quality depending on whose chair you sit in. I didn't catch the name of the first nail tech, and I haven't seen her in the salon since. Today's set (nude) took 2+ hours and three attempts by the tech, and I left with bleeding cuticles. Nothing was done correctly, from the length and the lumpy polish to the fact that the acrylic itself had bubbles underneath and the "fill" left space between the cuticle and the bottom of the acrylic.
