I called this location the next day and was told that I had to come in on May 27th! I told them multiple times before this date and on this date that this check engine light has been on! I was promised a full diagnostic would be performed! I get the car later that date, the check engine light was still on! Normally, when something is wrong because of a business's mistake and I complain, I'm either banned or given the runaround! Now, earlier this month, the car is completely shut down! I'm not paying a dime on this car payment until this is taken care of! When I came and picked up my car, I was told it was parked across the street! I was looking for about 25 minutes, and guess where my car was? It was actually in the lot adjacent to the service area! Be cautious with this location! They will give you a lemon and a half tank of gas, and will not tell you!

    I came to drop my Hyundai Kona off for a recall on the engine. My car had been stalling and the…read moreissue started very recently, just about two weeks (1 month new to Chicago). I dropped it off with Carlos and he estimated my car to be done that day so I waited around. Unfortunately, it was not done that day, but estimated it could be a few days to weeks since it's an engine problem, BUT I was able to utilize the dealerships shuttle service home (a huge help throughout this whole experience)! The next day, I got a text from Carlos asking to approve 2 services on the car, an oil change ($109) and a crankshaft position sensor ($451). Carlos did mention that replacing the crankshaft position sensor would help diagnose the other problems with the car. I declined both services for now because, 1. I am unemployed and 2. I was just hoping to fix the engine. Going through the notes, it looked like my engine had passed their tests with flying colors (so no replacement despite the stalling and recall). Because I declined both services, my car was ready for pick up. I was able to utilize the shuttle service again! Once I got back to the service area, I paid the $250 for the car inspection/labor. Carlos then let me know that the reason my car is stalling is not because of the engine but because the crankshaft position sensor needs to be replaced. IF I knew this was the reason for the stalling engine, I would have opted for the replacement of the position sensor. Anyway, I opted for the crankshaft position sensor to being replaced. So once again, I utilized the shuttle service! This time, I got JOE COZZI as my shuttle driver. Let me tell you, this man is a saint and super knowledgeable with all things cars. During my ride home, Joe asked was going on with my car, I explained, he said check to see if you have a warranty with carmax. They are always trying to offer their warranty. He said call them as soon as you get to the house. And I did. I had purchased a 5 year warranty with carmax and a replacement of a crankshaft position sensor fell under the warranty. All I had to do was let Carlos know to call my insurance and pay my deductible. I would have never thought to look into whether or not I still had a warranty on my car. So I am extremely thankful for Joe for asking questions and sharing his knowledge with me that day. Side Note: Joe picked me up from home via shuttle service when my car was done! So I extend all my thanks out to JOE COZZI for saving me nearly $500 I didn't have.

It's the perfect balance of size, shape, practicality, and everyday performance. I was never chasing high performance--I wanted something reliable, comfortable, and capable in all conditions--and the Crosstrek has consistently delivered, whether I'm navigating city streets, cruising the highway, or taking on backroads. Berman has been my go-to dealership from the very beginning, and for good reason. The team is always professional, straightforward, and genuinely helpful. Pricing is very fair, the process is smooth, and their service department has been consistently excellent over the years. A big shoutout to Daniel Szontagh--he made this latest experience just as seamless as the others. No pressure, no gimmicks, just honest help and great communication. I recently traded up to the Crosstrek Hybrid, and even after just a few days, all I can say is: wow. The previous models were great handlers, but this one takes it to another level. It feels incredibly smooth, connected to the road, and surprisingly comfortable--even over Chicago potholes.     Great experience at Berman Subaru! I came by today to get a new stereo system put in my car. I had…read morean appointment and pulled right into the service garage upon arrival. The team greeted me and got me checked in super seamlessly. They let me know it would take about 2 hours for the installation and then showed me to the waiting room. There are two spaces, one bigger one with tables and chairs, and the other with some desk space. I was able to camp out at one of the desks to get some work done while they worked on my car. There is wifi (not the best so I tethered to my phone) and coffee available. Before I knew it the 2 hours was up and my car was good to go! They even gave it a quick wash while it was back there (even though we got it fully serviced and detailed about a month ago). The team is awesome and super responsive. Since it's also the dealership, there were able to do multiple services free of charge (including the new stereo!) They do a great job of building relationships with their clients to keep them coming back. We've been bringing our Forrester here since 2017 and will continue to do so.
