Amazing food, quick & friendly service, great atmosphere. Did open table reservations since we had 2 kids. Live music outside and much calmer atmosphere inside. Drinks and food selection is insane. Our hubbies opted for the date night special and didn't get blown away. Margaritas were in the sweeter side, but good alcohol balance. Great fun atmosphere!

A huge bag of chips and 4 oz cup of guacamole which I was told was $10!!!!

(9/3/26) I just went to Alma Mexicana to get something to eat and paid like $17 (this is not including the tip) for guacamole, chips, and a drink. I come back with this!! A whole flipping bag of chips and two bites of guacamole!!! What the Sam Ham?!?! I am heated and not from the walk I took outside to go get the food!!!!

We tried Alma on a Wednesday for their $35 Date Night Special, and it was an incredible value! The meal included choriqueso with chips, six street tacos, mini churros, and a frozen margarita or agua fresca pitcher to share. The tacos were fresh and flavorful, especially the shrimp and steak, and the choriqueso came out hot and perfectly melty. The churros were the perfect sweet ending to the meal. What really made the experience stand out was the service. Madison was an excellent server. She was super friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. Jay, the manager, also stopped by to chat, and that genuine hospitality made the evening even more enjoyable. The patio had a fun atmosphere with string lights, and music, making it a great spot for a casual date night or dinner with friends. We'll definitely be back!

Had a lovely dinner visit, my husband enjoyed a beautiful margarita prepared by expert bartender Ginny. My Tijuana Caesar Salad was fantastic - the shredded guajillo chicken had just the right amount of spice and the salad had just the right amounts of dressing (which had just the right amount of zing) and crunch. Churros and dipping sauce were bussin. Service was both warm and efficient.

Rolled into Bailey Park on a Friday for some dinner. Had a craving for Mexican food and Alma Mexicans did not disappoint. I got a classic Margarita and Steak Tacos. Both were delicious. Ginny, the bartender, checked in on us, as did the restaurant manager. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. A great place in Bailey Park!!

Good Mexican but a little pricey. We sat outside and enjoyed the evening air. Our waiter was very nice and efficient. I got the luchidor burrito, it was tasty with lots of great toppings - guacamole, sour cream, jalapeños, avocados, and the meat had good flavor. The drink special was a flight of margaritas ! Might have to try that next time!

Came in on a Saturday afternoon around 2:00. It wasn't very busy. I sat on the patio to get some sun and people watching. I did the dip trio and the fish tacos. The guac needed more daily it tasted pretty bland, the cheese dip was decent, and the green salsa (asked for green instead of red) was delicious. The frozen drink of the day was delicious and very enjoyable on the patio. The fish tacos were decent but most of the flavor came from the sauce and the fish was perfectly crispy. My waiter was great and the shift transition was smooth.

We went here on a friday hust before the storm hit and the service was so warm that it could melt away all the weather we have been having. The place was pretty quiet since we went durng odd hours but the ambience was very lively nonetheless, the music and the vibe was super chill and upbeat...i loved it. There menu is pretty extensive too with all mexican favorites and a few additions. The food was lretty good too, we got the crispy cauliflower and it was very well executed. Tgeir house hot sauce was pretty good too along with the chipotle agave!

The restaurant is close to downtown Winston Salem so, the parking was not the best. However, the restaurant itself is very lovely. I was greeted by an informative host. And the manager also came over to my table to introduce herself. I felt very welcomed. I ordered the 3 Jalisco steak taco. I was not sure what to expect. However, it was so delicious!! I believe that it had steak, corn, a sauce and other things inside. I also received some free churro and a dipping sauce. They were warm and taste like warm sugar cake. Yummy, I will definitely be back,

Decent spot in a great location - room for improvement though. I came here on Frida with a few others to grab a drink and catch up after the F45 fitness friday workout in the coal pit. I had not been to this place yet and was excited to try it. I stuck to a liquid diet this time around - but I made it count with the margarita flight! Others in the group ordered nachos, a veggie bowl, and a modelo. My flight consisted of jalapeno, blood orange, and lavender. I liked the kick to the jalapeno. Lavender was interesting, not my favorite, but definitely a potent flavor. The blood orange didn't really come through as much as I hoped. All in all, we had a pleasant time here- sat outside and enjoyed the weather - but just seemed to be missing something in the delivery/execution. It's got location working in its favor so I'm sure I'll give it another try! @azfitfoodfun

The food here is okay. Great area at Bailey Park and outside seating. I tried their shrimp and that was pretty good, I tried their birria taco and it was okay. Service was a bit lacking, they didn't come to our table very often. And I thought their prices for alcohol drinks were in the high end, especially for margaritas. They did seem to have good midweek deals. I might go back and try them.

Stopped by Alma a few evenings ago and have to say we will definitely be back! We started with the choriqueso and the birria empanadas which were both really tasty. I preferred the empanadas a little more for the extra flavor and freshness. I ordered a blackberry margarita and classic margarita throughout the evening and both were phenomenal. For the main course I got the flautas. Came out pretty crispy and full of flavor. The rest of the fam enjoyed their food as well between the quesadillas and tacos everyone was happy. To end, we got the churritos which were little mini churros served hot with a dulce de leche dipping sauce and were the perfect end to the evening. I will say the service was a bit slow, but overall a good evening.

The interior is a bit small and they have a great outdoor space. I was concerned that it would rain so we chose to sit under the covered space. The fans were going, but in July it was humid. Our waiter was impressive. He made sure we were taken care of and he has an amazing memory. There were a couple of times he could have come sooner, but it was a bit busy. I decided to order a margarita flight. I picked the Blueberry, Jalapeño and the Classic Alma. I enjoyed the blueberry. I wasn't too much of a fan of the Jalapeño. The classic Alama was ok. My friend wasn't fan of the pineapple margarita. Even though I wasn't a fan of one of the flavors, it allowed me to taste a variety. Next time, I will know which flavor to pick for a full size. The full size margaritas being served at other tables looked amazing. I ordered the Fajitas Texanas. It was presented well. I think it had the right proportion. I skipped the guacamole. There isn't a lot of lettuce, the veggies are fresh and the flour tortillas were good. The food was hot. I was bit surprised at the size of the shrimp (tiny), but paired with the steak and chicken it was delicious. The rice was so good. I'm not a black bean fan, but those were pretty good. I enjoyed this meal and look forward to trying different menu items.

Rushed service, under seasoned food. Fajitas that didn't even resemble fajitas. Over-priced. Left disappointed with zero desire to return.

The chicken tacos were cooked well, but the cheese kept coagulating in the roof of my mouth. Wished it was smoother. The margaritas are ranked as follows: peach, strawberry, and passion fruit. For 12 oz, they are $7.50, which is great! The peach was fruity and tasty. Strawberry could get sickly very fast but still better than the passion fruit. The passion fruit was a thicker consistency of syrup, which threw it off a bit, and the flavor wasn't quite right. The berry sangria was missing something. It wasn't quite wine, not quite a fruit juice, and the fruit was all at the bottom, making it hard to drink. Not what we expected with the flavor profile. The quesabirria was flavorful with the beef and very tender. They definitely stuffed a lot of meat in the tacos, which will fill you up. Didn't like the cheese. It didn't pair well with the beef, and it was not enough in comparison. Overall, good tacos and would order again though. The service was fine. She was around enough for us to order more drinks and offered me a box at an appropriate time. The music wasn't too loud, barely heard over the crowd that started forming as we sat. Will try them again because the price is right.

Well, guess who makes sure there's plenty of salsa verde on your plate? Good ol' Pancho Villa, that's who. I have a certain fondness for Pancho's Green Burrito, and when I ordered that dish for lunch today there was a pool of delicious green liquid literally spilling from both sides of my plate! A bit messy for the table, yes, but far better than the scant offerings of their competitor. Pancho has long been one of my most consistent dining experiences in this city, which is why it's often the target of my attention for lunch. They get patrons seated quickly and orders filled quickly. The food is always good and there's plenty of it to enjoy. The service staff does a great job of attending to the wants and needs of their diners. It's easy to see why the place is popular -- and thus why a parking spot can be tough to find around lunch time.

I ordered the Steak Tapatio which was good but didn't feel like it was made with ribeye which is usually tender and flavorful. The steak in this dish was tough even to cut but still yummy.
