This supermarket is clean, fully stocked with products and at times has good promotional circular deals. Aisles are clear and wide and accessible with large shopping carts. The staff are friendly every time I visit, so basically no complaints. At times the advertised deals are a bit confusing since the fine print can mislead the final prices of the item. Haven't tried their cold cuts or cheese products yet, but the veggie aisle has more selections of leafy greens than other markets. Overall, a good neighborhood supermarket read more

I honestly haven't been to this Food Dynasty in over 20 years. So glad to see it's still around. Compared to the other big name supermarkets in the area, prices are a little higher. But they have a pretty good selection and cram it all into a relatively small space. I was in awe of their pasta sauce and cereal selection. Lots of fresh produce. The store itself has seen better days (just look at the floor tiles). The standout is the staff. Super cool guys at the deli counter. And the two girls at checkout were incredibly helpful - made sure we got the right item for a specific (and very confusing) deal they were running. Shared parking lot out front. Shopping here has been terrible this past year. Seems to be a new manager. Nearly all the staff aren't seen wearing masks, Including the manager and food takeout staff, Who I see chatting laughing and talking loudly on their phones between each other all the time. Customers are talking loudly without masks on and nobody asks them to put one on. The isles are cluttered with Hand trucks and boxes during PEAK time. What gives? Who the heck is managing this place? Beware Food Dynasty is not following the mask mandate. Manager not masked. I have always been disappointed. Sometimes food is expired. One cashier is usually rude to elders. Prices have gotten remarkably better over the years as more and more supermarkets have opened up. However, today is the second instance where I find out the snacks I purchased are expired when I get home. My first experience was rather empathetic and the manager offered to give me double the amount of snacks I actually paid for to compensate for my time - to return to the store and exchange the snacks. Today, when I realized what I purchased was expired and returned to the store, neither the cashier nor the manager was apologetic. All he said was "what?!" Attention all shoppers! Beware of "FOOD NASTY". The convenient supermarket with the rude and insensitive cashiers. I just returned home from an experience I will not soon forget. While checking out, two other cashiers were having a conversation across registers about who had the worse customers. The young male cashier behind me went on to say that his customer was worse, "She couldn't even work the chip," and she "was like 20 years old" so she must "be retarded". At this point, I turned around and stared that young man down. He looked at me and asked "What". I only recall half of my reply about how rude he was because I was fuming. I ended by looking at the manager and saying that it was pathetic that he did not correct the employee. Please reconsider giving this establishment your business. BEWARE UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS UPDATE: I got through to food dynasty and Miguel said he is the manager and do not do returns. I told him I didn't order these toilet paper and he said he doesn't do exchange/return. I told him he should have sent me an email/call if that happens when he is switching brands for customers on items. He said they don't do that!! He hung up on me. 4/12/2020 I just had a delivery and it was scheduled for yesterday between 7-8pm. It took me 4 days for the delivery schedule. Yesterday, I called around 8:30pm but no one picked up. This morning I called and no one picked up. I finally got thru and no apologies by blocking my number. The lady said, "we closed early because it was easter. We are backup and shopping for 2pm delivery today so you will get yours late tonight or tomorrow." She hung up. When I got my delivery, I was estatic! Once I finished cleaning everything and putting everything away, I looked at my order and I'm missing $6 bacon & the roll of toilet papers I ordered supposed to be Cottonelle in a pack pf 4 but they gave me 4 lose rolls of a name I never heard of envision. I just love it here . everyone is super friendly and they also do on line grocery shopping and they also deliver and they also do catering orders . yes its small but has everything you need. the deli area is awesome there roasted chicken and BBQ ribs and all the fresh salads and side dishes and anti pasta is so Delicious . I just love coming here and there pretty awesome with sales as well . they are very clean and so friendly to help you out in anything you may need and if you need something just ask they are quick to run in the back to see if they have more in stock . read more

During Covid 19 this is the one supermarket that is fully stocked. They always have meat, fresh veggies, dairy and they have friendly workers who are willing to help. I've been here a handful of times and will drive here from sheepshead because of the service and quality of food. read more

This place is okay. The stock crew (especially produce) is super helpful but the cashiers are usually manned by lazy, sometimes disrespectful teenagers. For a neighborhood supermarket, it's average--it has a good amount of Italian products and a surprising stock of organic, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free items. It's also refreshing to find free range eggs and quality meat there. You have to pay attention when you shop though; prices on some items are a little more expensive than other places. But if you can't make it to another supermarket, I guess the slight surcharge isn't bad. A tip: don't go during peak hours on weekends. Staff is overwhelmed and customers are on edge; some aggressive. The last time I was there on a Saturday, a women shoved her cart at my husband and I because we were grabbing a carton of eggs a foot away from her. read more

This supermarket is a bit of a trek from my home so I hardly come to this supermarket. It's about 5-8 minute drive from my boyfriend's home, so it's more convenient for him. There's a large parking lot which is a good thing. I think I've been to this supermarket twice and I'm rarely amused by it so far. First off, I feel it's much more expensive compared to Shop Rite (located on McDonald Avenue) and Stop & Shop (located on Cropsey Avenue). I get better deals at those two supermarkets. Everything is organized and neat, but this supermarket seems a bit dead and the price of things aren't quite right for me. Finally, the staff here never seem too welcoming or friendly. The cashiers never seem welcoming or helpful. It kind of reminds me of the rudeness from C-Town on 18th avenue. I probably wouldn't come to this supermarket a lot because of the trek and the mediocre customer service. I can receive better deals and customer service in other supermarkets in Bensonhurst. read more

I live up the block so this is my obvious go to place. Its basically a part of Key Food so they have the same sales and your Key Food card is good here. They have a nice deli and I love the fact that they try and stock some gourmet items like different cheeses and pates. Nice produce section and fair prices. The only thing that keeps it from 5 stars is that they rarely use the express lane and thus if you come in for 1 or 2 items you can be stuck behind someone doing their entire weeks shopping. Hum...what can I say about this supermarket? I have extremely mixed feelings about this place. As a neighborhood supermarket, it's extremely convenient and has slightly better prices, brands, and hours that I haven't found at other comparable local markets. On the other hand, every time I go in there, I have some sort of experience that makes me ask, why did I do this? Staff service is really a mixed bag--I've had helpful service from people who seem to like their job, but I've also gotten rude staff and some who seem VERY unhappy to be there. The store is extremely tight--it's incredibly hard to get around even during off hours, so much so that I feel like a schmuck when I need to stop for a sec to ponder an item for purchase because it means I inadvertently block the whole aisle for other shoppers. Weekly sale items don't always get restocked and I've been left out in the dust on several occasions. And I'm not 7 feet tall! I cannot reach those items you stack on top of the fruit and veggie coolers! Maybe it's because I'm spoiled on great supermarkets like Wegmans and Trader Joes, but this place just falls short for me and if it wasn't so close to where I live, I wouldn't bother giving it a second trip. read more

Shoppers be CAREFUL here..... even though an item is on sale it doesn't mean you can assume that the discount will be taken off by cashiers machine..... they keep saying its computer error.... but really this has been going on for years! So, shopping here is NOT relaxing .... you have to keep your wits about you. One feels in this store its very much "us and them" when it comes to cashiers/managers and their customers. If one questions whether an item is on sale or wrong price........ one is immediately faced with defensiveness and reactivity. One could at least listen to the customers grievance or complaint and treat them with some respect. Most cashiers seem to hate their job (it shows in their faces...... go in and see for yourself if you find one smiling face in the entire store?) and show little interest in the customers. Customers seem to be more of a "necessary nuisance". A while ago, as a young couple, we were behind two seniors and cashier S was totally indifferent to them. No friendly conversation..... no effort made to help them with their shopping shops. Cashier staring into space....... she didn't even put the meat into plastic bag in case liquid dripped out. Maybe its time for electronic checkouts? Or better still go on down to La Bella on 13 Ave where the staff are more friendly and sympathetic. Since the closing of Waldbaum's this is one of my favorite markets. The fruits and veggies are always beautiful, fresh and well tended to with water sprinklers. My only issue is the meat and poultry pricing, I can get cheaper poultry at the 86th St market and meat at Meat Supreme, I still buy some here such as the Stew Meat which is sold in larger packs. They have great sales, friendly staff and I love their Deli: best cuts in town. They have an abundance of variety in products that outnumbers the Chinese markets that have popped up as of late. read more

Not a bad supermarket at all. We live one neighborhood away in Bay Ridge, which suffers from a serious lack of good supermarkets, so while we mostly order from Fresh Direct, when we need to go food shopping for stuff FD doesn't carry and don't want to shlep all the way to Fairway or Trader Joe's, we come to Bath Beach for Food Dynasty. It's the nature of the beast that Brooklyn, as an older city without a lot of open space, does not have room for the huge supermarkets found in many other areas of the country, so we're stuck with buildings built 40 or 50 years ago, when the supermarkets of the day stocked a much smaller variety of products that do today's mega-markets. Even so, Food Dynasty manages to carry a very well-thought-out variety of choices in most products, considering its typical-Brooklyn lack of shelf space. Their deli counter is sometimes a little maddening, with their often clueless counter people having no idea whether a given special is in stock, but while exasperating, I can live with that. The actual food at the deli counter can be delicious - got some excellent chick pea salad the other day which I basically gobbled down as soon as we got home, it was so good. You could do MUCH worse in area markets, for sure (cough*Foodtown*cough). read more

Great local supermarket with lots of Italian products. Good produce and meat department, items are always fresh. The workers here are always willing to help. If you can't find the item you are looking for, just see the manager. They take down your request and more often than not, in a few weeks they'll have that item in stock! When I can't make it to the store, I order online. The price to order online is very inexpensive compared to other delivery services I've tried in the past. My orders are always delivered within the time slot I requested! If you prefer shopping yourself, they also offer free delivery! All in all, a great & clean local supermarket! read more

Well, where do I start? First of all any item on their sale flier that is discounted will most likely not be discounted on your receipt unless you watch it! When you tell the cashier that the price of an item did not reflect the sale price.... they say .... oh sorry..... computer error..... but how many computer errors can you have?? If you don't watch.....for your "on sale" items you will probably be paying full price? But this is not a pleasurable way to shop? Having to watch everything? I thought shopping was meant to be a pleasurable recreational activity? If you are not watching, you lose! But apart from this..... compare the prices with La Bella on 13 Ave? They offer much better sale items..... Cracker Barrel cheese ... two for $4. And even the items not on sale there are cheaper. Also much better selection of hot foods also at La Bella. Also tiny selection of fresh fish at Food Dynasty. One plus...... decent size free parking. Staff at Dynasty.... most seem like college kids..... some are friendly.... some not so much. read more

My sister got me to start going here. It's clean, fruit and vegetables are fresh, decent selection, and the meat is pretty good, I haven't had a problem with it. I do go to Labella a lot, but I don't like their meat at all. Food Dynasty's is better. They have okay sales, some things are cheaper than others, some more pricey. The deli there is pretty good, at least the deli guys know how to slice cold cuts! The staff is friendlier here than Labella, so that's also a plus. The only downside for me is that they don't have a huge Italian foods aisle. read more

This store is my replacement for Waldbaums. It has plenty of fresh vegetables, meat cut to the price it's sold for. The only short coming is the fact that they do not sell Key Food Soda which would be cheaper than the other sodas in the store. Also, I could not find packaged or frozen bagels that most stores sell. It's got all the necessities. From Justin's Almond butter to Almond Milk to last minute pickups. They've got some decent deals for when you have to make last minute runs. The staff is helpful, the fruits and veggies looks well organized and nice. Never had an issue with a bad batch. This is def my last minute run supermarket only because we have a BJ membership. read more
