We had a pleasant stay at the Aloft. The location was convenient to the Westgate shopping area, Chicken N pickle was next door, and Camelback Ranch was just a short drive. Check in was easy. Our room was clean and comfortable. I loved the hot air balloon wallpaper in the bathroom. It was weird that the shower was not in a completely enclosed room. The only real downside was only one elevator was working. I would stay here again. read more

Good location, but nothing special. Denied housekeeping services on the app when I checked in before I stayed and came back the second night and they had been in my room, which was a bit bothersome. They have a bar off the lobby, which I did not go to, and then they have some grabbing go snack items for additional cost. They do not include breakfast. If I had not been attending a conference nearby, I would not have chosen to stay at this hotel. Staff was helpful and friendly enough. They do put earplugs by the bed because there is a lot of road noise. They replaced my pillows with feather free as requested in my profile however, the pillows were not great and the bed was very soft. If you are not a good sleeper or need a firm bed this is not the place for you. read more

Check in was very quick and easy...got a room on the first floor (didn't have to deal with elevators), which was nice. The lobby has a bar, which opens nightly at 5pm, some games (a pool table, Jenga and a Connect 4) and seating areas. There is a small food area with items to purchase, but no free breakfast, although coffee was set up to take. My room was small, but had a King-sized bed which was very comfortable and a little seating area with a table in the corner. The bathroom was nice, a big shower and a little WC. The TV is a nice size and there's a mini-fridge, as well. The room was spotless! And, the AC was on point. As soon as I got in the room, I turned it down and it got cold pretty quick. I like a cold room, especially during summer in Arizona. Parking was easy and convenient, they do tow overnight if you don't have your parking pass showing in your window. And, they charge $15 a day for parking. They also lock the main doors after 10pm, so you need to use your key card to gain entry. The nice thing for me was, there's also a back door for guests. I ended up parking far from the front door, but very close to the back door, so I didn't need to walk all the way around the hotel to get inside. And, the back door wasn't too far from my room, which was incredibly convenient for me. Check out was as quick and easy as checking in. If I need to have a little overnight or just a getaway, I would definitely stay here again. Bonus, for people not familiar with the area, it's very close to Westgate, which has lots of restaurants, bars, games, concerts and a movie theater...basically they're just across from the parking lot. read more

My check in was quick and easy. My room was clean, nice sized, and the bed was soft. Sadly, I was only in town overnight, but I would definitely stay here again. It's located just off the freeway across the parking lot from the Westgate entertainment center. If you're not from here or familiar with the area, it's an entertainment hub for nightlife and eateries. There is multiple eateries, bars, a movie theater, bowling, comedy shows, etc. A great little city inside a city. Parking is $15, but you can leave your car and walk to everything in the area. You can hear everything going on with the neighbors next door and also above. Also, just an FYI but these rooms are more like a studio apartment. The hotel room was clean and has what you need. One thing to note is that there is no privacy to the shower room, as there is no door to the bathroom area. The decor in the hallway is a little prison like, especially at night. However, things worked OK and our stay was fine. To start off I would like to say I love the ladies at the front desk they were real and so kind hearted felt the love!! The oldest lady who works front was kinda down played my Marriott statues and that's not cool people get statues for a reason so it does matter I'm Marriott platinum it is earned so I would like to always be treated that way!! Very clean the bartender even came out and started fire for us he was so polite!! Housekeeping team was very caring and kind!! They had pool tables too the pool was heated and beautiful!!! If you're expecting a typical hotel stay, this is not the place for you. They do not clean your room or replace your towels every day. Did not see this info when we booked online and didn't know until the first night, and I had to go to the check-in and get new towels. We were on the first floor and you can hear everything on the 2nd floor....had a couple arguing and slamming doors for a couple hours in the middle of the night. They never vacuum or clean the hallways. There was trash in the hallway for the 3 days we were there and never got picked up. No free breakfast, coffee cups in the rooms are mismatched and had some stains on the bed covers. It's not a good place for a family, but maybe for a couple retreat of 1 night. Towels were not replaced. Very limited food options for breakfast- microwaved stuff only. And nothing available for the rest of the day. Stayed at aloft while visiting family. It is located in the Westgate district. It is in the perfect location. You can walk to restaurants , the amc movie theater is in the same parking lot, salons, Comedy shows, mini golf- everything is conveniently located! The hotel offers coffee and water in the lobby. There are 4 floors and two elevators. There is a bar and pool table in the lobby. They also have a small outdoor pool. Our room had a leak from the air condition unit and we were moved to another room without any issues. They only have a steamer in the rooms ( you need to request an iron). Check in was easy and quick for an event weekend. Parking was a breeze. Decor had mixed opinions from our group some liked it some thought it was odd. We were able to check in early for no charge. We took the Matt's from the exercise roo and did yoga by the pool each morning - in the shade. Very pleasant. The hotel is modern minimalist. And is next to an AMC theatre. One downside is the traffic, Laius vehicles and parking racing in circles around 9-10pm. Fortunately, it doesn't last too long. Seems like another strange outfall from the pandemic. Ps. We stayed the weekend with our dog and left disappointed with this hotel. The lobby is clean but our room was pretty dirty. As soon as we arrived I started checking the room and immediately found a peanut M&M slightly pushed under the bed. My dog could've easily found it before me and gotten sick from the chocolate. This made me realize that our room hadn't been vacuumed. There were hairs/ crumbs all over the floor. Big white stain on the sofa. Rusty towel hooks, grease markings on the headboard from the persons head that slept there before us. I mean actual LAYERS of dust along the floorboards. You can't skimp on cleaning the hotel rooms, it says a lot about the hotels that do. Besides the grimy room, my only other issue is how you can hear everything. Every single cough, toilet flush, laugh- EVERYTHING you can hear from inside the room. The parking was easy, and there are a lot of food options close to the hotel. Unfortunately I'd never stay here again. read more

Booked this for spring training visit as many people do... Rooms are very European (small and minimalist design) but we weren't here for the room...the shower didn't spray well at all and needed us to break the hard water deposits out of the shower head so we could get a good spray pattern. The street noise cannot be missed so Friday and Saturday nights are noisy but this isn't the hotel's fault. Lots of shops and restaurants near by. read more

We always stay at the Renaissance when coming to town, there weren't any rooms available this trip so we ended up here at the Aloft. I really wanted to like it but this place gives off college dorm vibes. It felt like they were trying to be trendy with a low budget. The room we stayed in was a studio, there are literally no doors/privacy. We had booked this place via Expedia and requested a room with a king bed but they gave us two queens. The vibes walking to the room are creepy with the dark hallways, felt super industrial and not finished. I will say that the staff working that we encountered were nice but we will definitely not be staying here again. read more

This hotel is so cute! I loved the modern decor, it has a mix of industrial (but not dull, it has colors) and minimalist (simple and clean decor, with things placed purposefully). Overall, loved this Marriot property. I booked through the app and did the check in on it so I just came in and had the room assigned at the app already and used my phone Bluetooth to open the door. No contact even needed with front desk, it was just a nice walk through. Later I did have to get my id verified by front desk but that was easily done. I was also able to have an earlier check in as I had requested through the app, they let me know there that room was ready. I loved this experience. I also enjoyed the convenience of being at Westgate. This hotel is next to the AMC movie theater and honestly a very short walk to the Cardinals stadium. I wasn't there for football but for a dance convention that was happening at another nearby hotel. This was was a pretty good choice. We were close to everything Westgate has to offer: dining, entertainment, shopping. I also felt safe there which is super important too. I don't have anything I didn't like to be honest. When I needed help bringing a water case to my room. I didn't even have to ask. The gentleman in the front desk saw me and offered to get a cart. So helpful! I had minor inconvenience when my Bluetooth didn't work to open my door, he promptly came upstairs when I called and fixed the issue for me. Also was super kind about it. I had the best weekend here. Bed was comfy, room was lovely, enjoyed the pool view. read more

Bartender SaraAnne is wonderful but the lack of TV and not having a co2 has reflected people for staying around.

I'll start with the good, this place was very clean. Now, the bad. This was by far the worst place I've ever been. I thought with it being newer in town that they would be more "high quality worth" with the HIGH dollar amount you pay, NOPE! My experience was horrible, our AC went out at about 11pm after our arrival. They let us sleep in the heat and stay in the same room the entire time. Not to mention our room was facing the sun! So the entire room was full of heat from sunrise to sunset. They didn't do jack shit to help us have an enjoyable visit. Managers? Um, I'm not sure those exist, just young kids that sit on their phones and act as if your a burden when you interpret them. The location is great but good luck getting sleep. Overall, not worth $190 a night. That was miserable. I don't think it would've been as bad if we had AC but they nothing to take care of that, they said "we are going to be disappointed because we wouldn't have anyone to come address the issue until your departure." (Move us then or, make it right). read more

Paying guests BEWARE of them allowing tow companies to have free rein at your cars despite having a parking pass!!! We got a room and walked over to Desert Diamond Arena for a concert last weekend. Came down the next morning to leave and our car was GONE. The front desk person wasn't helpful at all nor did she know how to escalate a problem with her managers appropriately. We explained our issue and she left us with blank stares and no action. I suggested calling her manager who she couldn't get a hold of as well as her general manager who also didn't answer. Finally an assistant manager arrived who wasn't very helpful either. She was more adamant to prove us wrong that our parking pass wasn't on the dash than to try and help us get our car back. Finally a real manager arrives who starts repeating everything already said without helping paying guests solve a problem. Finally we get a hold of the tow company and they have our car. At this point the assistant manager comes running out of the back offices with a picture on her phone of our dash board trying to prove there wasn't a ticket there. After a $30 uber ride 25 minutes away to a very unsafe area, it was proven that the parking pass WAS IN FACT IN THE CAR and must had slipped onto the seat when lifted on the tow. Thankfully the tow company didn't charge us. The management at the Aloft, however, had some backpedaling to do. After an hour and a half, we finally got our car back. The manager on duty knew she was wrong especially because she was the one who checked us in the day before and HANDED us the parking pass. She even claimed "I handed it to you and what you do with it I have no idea" trying to insinuate we are crazy and didn't put it in the car exactly where it was supposed to be. It was too little too late when the manager gave my 11 year old (whose birthday we were celebrating) a pack of gummy bears for "our troubles." She also refunded the uber ride and our parking fee... again too little too late. All three employees need a retraining on customer service and how to properly manage such situations in the future. The girl that works in the day receptionist was extremely rude loved to make people feel like they are broke, not to mention arguing with her, when she said she could not accept a prepaid card for my daughter so I had to go down there early Not to mention did I say they kept my $150 deposit every day they said they were going to give it back even to supposedly a senior executor manager of Marriott. He also lied said he would have the money back in my account to the day was never put back, super sad because it is a newer hotel and a great location but never again will I go there everyone there just tells you what you want to hear for the moment rooms are also extremely small but of course are expensive. read more

Just completed a 4 night stay here for a business trip, and I can't stop raving about my stay. The rooms are fun and funky, I absolutely loved the decor both in the lobby and in my room. The bedding and mattress were super comfortable, and the extras that were geared towards business travelers, like the steamer and tall rack to hang clothing were extra touches that I appreciated. The lobby has plenty of space to hang out, with fun spaces to relax like a selfie station, pool table, and a bar with an excellent bartender, Rebecca. She engaged with us daily, remembered our drinks, and really made it a place we looked forward to sharing some drinks in the evening. Definitely will be my first choice in this area any time I'm here. read more

The girl at the front Samantha was very rude to us and therefore I would not recommend this hotel. I asked for ice water, which the nice woman at the desk this morning said would be out all day after breakfast. When I asked Samantha in the afternoon said she "I can't find it, so there is no water". I asked if she could possibly look again (it's a 109 degrees out and we just had a long day outdoors) and she said no. When I asked if I could get a free bottle since the complimentary water was "lost" she said no because I was being rude. She was also training a new employee and he looked shocked at her reaction. For a $1-2 bottle of water, she made me feel petty for asking and now has lost a customer. Customer service goes a long way in the service industry! read more

They say you get what you pay for but in this case all I got for the price of one night was a headache. For a newer facility the sound proofing is AWFUL. Between the loud party going on next door and the roar of traffic it was hard to get any sleep. I should have known when I checked in around 3 pm and had to immediately ask the staff to have the loud obnoxious rap music quieted down it would be trouble. After attempting to go to bed a a decent hour I had to call the front desk agaIn around 2:30 in the morning to report a loud party. The nice person who answered told me they have gotten several complaints and were aware of the noise. It is now 4:35 in the morning. The party is still in what sounds like full swing complete with people laughing like hyenas in the hallway, doors slamming and general mayhem. Clearly the enjoyment of other paying guests is not taken seriously enough to warrant any action on the part of the staff. Instead of a picture I wish I could upload a recording of all the noise. My nice evening was ruined but it sure sounds like other people had a blast. To the lady being inappropriate with her boss...thanks for NOT keeping it classy!! read more

DISAPPOINTMENT I am local to this hotel and bring my family every year for the fourth of July as a tradition. The hotel typically has a perfect view of the nearby fireworks show and I make sure to request this view when booking a room. This year is no different. I even called the day before the booking to ensure we had the right reservation. I was assured it would be no problem. This year they moved the show to a different side of the building. When we were checking in we made sure to emphasize that the fireworks show is the only reason we book here. The woman at the front desk said fine and we went upstairs. Surprise surprise. The room did not face the fireworks show. We found where they were setting up and went to the front desk to ask if we could change rooms to another one that faced the show (less than 5 min after checking in). Even went through the trouble of listing the rooms that are facing the new show location. The woman at the front desk immediately said NO. She said that the side of the building facing the show has been booked for days...and then she asked where the new fireworks show location was. Let me repeat that...SHE DENIED OUR SIMPLE RELOCATION REQUEST BEFORE EVEN KNOWING WHERE WE WANTED TO MOVE. I was made to feel inferior, humiliated, and burdensome in front of other guests. All because I wanted a room facing a specific direction. Aloft is supposed to be in the hospitality business. If they can't even accommodate a simple request like a room relocation, what else aren't they doing that's expected of a hotel? I'm disgusted. DO NOT STAY HERE read more

There's 1 complimentary in the room for the 2 of us so I asked for another bottle. She said the store has some for $3. When I told her every other Aloft/Bonvoy hotel gives free water to members she shrugged and kept doing her thing. People, we are in Phoenix where it's 104°, I just want a .50 bottle of water!!! The guy helping us at the front desk was great. The room was nice and clean and modern with a big shower. However, our room happened to be directly next to the elevator shaft on the 6th floor, and going to sleep proved difficult after being woken up at 1am from the banging elevator shaft on our room wall. It was way too late to change rooms, and it kept both my wife and I up until about 2am when it mostly stopped, Im guessing due to not being used as much, until it started back up around 530am. I'd stay again, and perhaps my rating would go up to 4 stars, but I'd definitely avoid staying next to the elevator. read more

Enjoyed my two night stay at ALoft. Friendly staff throughout the duration of my visit, with easy check-in, and a clean and comfortable room. I think the highlights of the room would be the comfort level of the bed, the spacious shower and bath area, and the abundance of outlets and USB ports. I missed having a traditional desk space in the room...instead it was more of a table and corner couch set-up. Large TV, and a very big window that overlooked onto some mountains. And it also had a little fridge and some coffee and teas. That said, the room is a bit small. The doors make a ton of noise when they close so you'll hear doors shutting throughout your stay, and also the noise from surrounding traffic at the mall and neighboring roadways. Clean pool area, pristine workout facility, and cool little lounge downstairs with seating, pool table, and bar. read more

This weekend my daughter booked a room at this hotel so she could attend a concert and not have to drive home. She did not realize you apparently need to be 21, her fault for not checking but it does not excuse the behavior of the front desk girl. Young black hair, super bad mood. Just while waiting to check in this woman was radiating rudeness. Putting her hand up telling customers they can wait. As a gold elite Bonvoy member I know this is not the standards for Marriott. So my daughter who was already charged $450 for her room (price gouge much) was not sure where she was going to stay because her card was already charged, but miss unhelpful instead told her she was a child and threatened to call the cops on her. For what? Being frustrated? It was certainly unacceptable behavior for hospitality business. Not a right fit and I hope someone discusses her behavior, teaches her empathy, and some customer service skills. read more

The room was dirty, which is not a welcoming thing especially during COVID-19 pandemic. There was a cum stained pillow at the little breakfast nook. There was hair all over the bathroom floor - clearly not cleaned. There was no liquid hand soap and the shower gel and shampoo were in shared pumps in the bathroom stall. There was garbage in front of the room next door that was never removed. There was no ventilation in the room. No exhaust fans and could not open the window. I was attracted to the place by the cute bar but the staff said there weren't enough guests to operate it so that was a bust. No complimentary breakfast. And parking cost $10. One of the elevators was malfunctioning. The walls were thin and the neighbors could be heard showering and having sex. The staff said there were only a handful of guests staying there yet they apparently stacked us all up in one section of the hotel. The lights round the pool and fire pit were so bright it was difficult to relax. The fire pit and pool area were nice however. As was the bar lounge. I was disappointed to see how small and low quality the billiards table was though. For the cost of this hotel it's really disappointing. I have no plans to stay here again or recommend it to anyone else. The only positive things were the staff was friendly and accommodating for the most part. The bed was comfortable and they provided extra pillows as requested when I made the reservation. Overall I'd say this was a disappointing experience. I'm an Elite Marriott member. My husband and I have been staying at Alofts for many years. We love the funky vibe and usually have no major issues. As I said, we have stayed in there in NYC, off the 128 in Massachusetts and many others across the country. I bring these other Alofts up because with those we were in spots where u expect to have noise pollution possibly bother you. We chose this Aloft because of its proximity to the Phoenix Coyote Arena. It is a perfect walking distance and has many fun restaurants and great shopping near by. But I am so disappointed with this staAs I type it is 2:30 am. Every 20-30 minutes I am treated to the lovely drag race between a multitude of hot rods racing down the streets by the hotel. It maybe that when they built the hotel they thought "why put in noise canceling windows" but considering that this is probably a weekly weekend experience- I would have hoped that something would have been done at some point. As a longtime Marriott Bonvoy member, my dissatisfaction grows as my sleep eludes me. read more

This hotel is super cute and decorated modern. We were a group of 8 ladies in two rooms with 2 queen beds. We split the price between the eight of us- 35 bucks each for one night which is totally affordable for a night out. The hotel is brand new and I was excited to be in a/c after being in an outdoor concert. I slept so good but doubt I'll be back unless I find myself near Westgate again. Mynor at the bar is amazing. Came here and my buddy fell asleep, came to the bar close to closing. Mynor was manning the bar, he hung out with me, had some great conversation and poured some very generous drinks all night!!! Apparently you can't drink when you bartend in Arizona but man he made me feel comfortable and I had an amazing night after my friend bailed on me for passing out. This is probably my favorite hotel I've stood in, in a long time! In town for business, the company set me up at this hotel bc the other hotel I was supposed to stay at, was full. Upon checking in (kinda late in the evening), I was checked in rather quickly! Noticed the lobby and bar area were pretty kept up with a touch of modern and up to date. For the first night, I was placed on the 2nd floor. I asked if I can move up to a higher floor bc I'm a sucker for views on vacation and was told to call the next day. To that, I did and was moved up to the 4th floor with no hesitation! The lady at the desk, I think it was Erica was very nice and even helped my wife bring her suitcase up to the room while I was away. Now for the assistant GM on duty, he was great and made the experience and stay that much better! His customer service goes above and beyond and treated my wife & I, and our son with the utmost great respect and service! From offering my wife a cupcake with a candle after finding out it was her birthday to attempting to make a certain drink/shot and succeeding at it at the bar. This manager on duty is great and made our stay at Aloft that much better! I appreciate ppl like that! Even after mentioning I didn't know how to work the steamer in the room, he had a iron and board up to my room before I knew it! I didn't get this gentlemen's name but I just wanna thank him from the family from colorado, and you best believe I'll be back to Aloft @ westgate this spring when I'm back in AZ! read more

Pulling into a very trendy mod style hotel. Lots of parking, but it is shared with a mall that has a casino and AMC Theatre, as well. My outdoor shot does no justice to the cool vibe it has. Walking in, wow! Just beautiful! If you don't like this look then you definitely are not into different styles and designs. I love unique places and this is one :-) It is a quaint and cozy place, but yet spacious and trendy in its in own style of mod. There is a community table area, lounging spaces, individual more private spaces, the bar, pool table, a very small store (they have space to expand and I highly recommend they do!), a computer desk, and a small pool with gobs of seating all around. It's like Palm Springs met industrial and had this baby. The elevator is a cool non fussy vibe. The hallways are very industrial and clean and minimal. I love that! No foofoo with pictures and tables and crap. Very minimal and clean! Entering the room, you'll be looking around saying,"Cool". My hubby and I are here with my mom so the open shower concept is not good for this visit, keep that in mind. But we like it if we were minus one mother. The wallpaper in the private toilet area is fun. I love the love love love the vanity/sink and want one in my home!!!! They were smarter than the average hotelier when it comes to the shower....the water knob is on the entering wall and the faucet itself is on the opposite. It's all white, crisp, and clean! I also like that there is not carpet bec I'm always grossed out by carpets in hotel rooms. The full length mirror is trendy. The sitting corner allows more than one person to pop a squat and has a table to eat at as well as work (if you don't want to utilize the many work spots downstairs). There is not a microwave, but there is a "smart" frig-don't ask what that means bec I don't know ;-) The blinds are really cool with numbers all over it. The pool is so Palm Springs! Just loving this hotel!!!! Unfortunately, I had to go back and remove a star bec the floors look like they have never been cleaned. This hotel is not a business travelers hotel The gym has overflowing trash They did not have enough hangers and they did not have hangers for pants Room decor was good but to much wood flooring and it made it loud and you can hear everyone's business. The toilet was nice The sink in the bathroom does not drain well If u weRe going to partyy and get drunk this would be a coool place but as a business traveler I would avoid this place read more
