Sold out since Post Malone was in town. Great place to stay if you're headed to the stadium or just want to be around the area. Check-in at the hotel went smoothly and I felt like they were prepared to handle it being busy. Our room was clean, it was nice to wake up and have a small breakfast in the morning. Only downfall is the little AC units in the room are pretty noisy. Grateful to have AC but I am just a light sleeper. Overall, I would stay here again, especially if I was headed to the stadium. We arrived early on Thursday and were able to check in. Breakfast was served fresh and hot daily. The location was within walking distance of our symposium location and also close to the Westgate Entertainment complex. I would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel! read more

Stayed here for a work conference and I am so happy with them!! I wish I would have taken a picture of the rooms before I jumped in them but let me start from the top. Service and staff: amazing. They made sure I was taken care of and went out of their way to make sure I felt it too. The receptionist, Ayanna, would text me everyday to make sure everything was up to my standards. Housekeeping introduced themselves to us and told us to let us know if we need anything. So thoughtful and well taken care of Rooms: clean clean! Hardwood floors with plenty of amenities. Mini fridge, blow dryer, iron table and iron and many more. Free assorted breakfast everyday with different choices, pool, gym and free WiFi. Overall one of the best places I stayed. I wasn't even going to review this hotel even though my stay wasn't great due to hair in both beds and the beds being hard as a rock BUT then I saw a charge for parking on my receipt (it took them hours to email it after checkout). I called the location first and spoke to rude Richard who asked me "why would I think parking would be included" - I had to do everything in my power not to curse him out. I then called and spoke to THREE OTHER PEOPLE in the Hilton Honors call center who claimed to not see parking included. The FOURTH call into Hilton Honors call center saw it! And called RICHARD in Glendale, AZ who lied to the call center rep and said he left notes for the manager. What Richard told me to do was call a manager cause I can't do anything for you. I used to be a Hilton Honors Gold and I stopped using Hilton brands, I remember why now and will go back to Marriott brands. read more

This hotel was very nice. It has a cool little vibe to it. It also had a cute little game section. It also had a full selection of snacks and drinks in their little store. The rooms were nice and clean. I felt they were a little on the smaller side. There wasn't a lot of luggage space no closet space at all. I definitely felt this room catered more to the younger crowd. I felt this room was purely for young adults coming to the area to party and then just rolling in to crash. It was hard to put all my family's luggage in this room. The bathrooms were clean but not a lot of counter space. I also felt the complementary breakfast in the morning was also catered to a younger crowd. They had pancakes and eggs. But I felt the selection wasn't as big as some of the other hotels were had stayed in, in the area. Overall, I would stay here again, it wasn't bad. Location, location, location! That's probably the one thing you hear real estate talk about when buying a home. That's the same for when you're booking a hotel. This place has amazing location! Right by not one thing but a plethora of options. Shopping? The outlets have you cover. Eating? Westgate has you covered. Entertainment? State Farm Stadium is there and Camelback Ranch is a short drive away. I took advantage of almost everything this place had to offer. Breakfast (only on the weekend for me because of my work schedule), 24 hour coffee (usually 3-4 cups daily), lobby, gym (they have a Peloton). Rooms are clean, no carpet! You can get daily service or just whenever you need it. Small mini fridge in case you want to keep drinks cool. Fire pit outside gives you a nice view of State Farm Stadium. The pool is nice to cool off, when it's hot. Lobby has board games, hockey and a foosball table. I'd definitely stay here again! read more

This is our first time staying in a Tru by Hilton. We were greeted by a young lady at the check-in desk with a candy sucker in her mouth - never took it out of her mouth the entire time. Apparently the candy was taken from the basket of suckers sitting on the counter for guests... not very professional, but looking around the lobby she fits the "young" vibe. They have a game area, couches and hanging chairs. This hotel is located conveniently across the street from the sports stadium. Beware, you will be charged an extra $18/day parking fee if you drove a car. Our king room was very small (not anything like the spacious rooms pictured). The room has just the bare essentials (minus closets), there are hooks and a bar for hanging clothes mounted on the walls. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom is small; bath towels are small and rough - colorful mounted cheap SQUEEZE bottles for soaps, lotion, and shampoo. This is a very stripped-down version of the traditional Hilton hotel rooms. It's fine for a place to rest your head for a night (maybe two?), but would not stay here for a lengthy time. Not a good value for the money you'll spend. Not my vibe, but it would maybe be ok for the younger generation, with low expectation. We will not choose to stay at a Tru hotel again. read more

If you are looking for comfort, don't stay here. The room is large but only had 1 office chair (like one for a teenage girl) and bench seat In Front of the tv with no where to rest your back. That's it. Bathroom was large also and clean but very little counter space and the closet was funny. It fit 4-5 shirts. That's it. Breakfast ok. The only things real were the apple, oranges, bagels and bread? Everything else was processed. For the price and parking fees, you could go somewhere else. read more

We stayed here for a work event and every member of staff I came into contact with was lovely. Rooms were clean and I was very impressed with Richard, he was there to check me in despite a very late arrival around 11pm and up very early to put out breakfast before 5:30am, did it all with a smile and a welcoming attitude. read more

I highly recommend staying here when watching an Arizona Cardinals game or a concert, as it is a 10-minute walk from the hotel to the State Farm Stadium. Upon arrival, the representative seemed rattled. This could be because it was at the beginning of check-in time. Upon leaving, the representative was pleasant, but I got the feeling no one there really likes their job. There were no niceties or questions about how I enjoyed my stay, as I am used to being a Hilton member. On the positive, I loved the shower (high pressure) and their liquid soap. What a super cute and funky little hotel! This was my first time staying at TRU, but I am a Hilton Diamond member. This is a new hotel and feels bright and shiny. The brand is obviously geared toward the younger set, like hip twentysomethings. The decor is very modern, with soothing teal blue tones and blonde wood. I booked a standard King room. The bed was very comfortable, I have no complaints. There's a tiny desk / workspace that's good for a small laptop, but it's not a giant workstation. Wifi is free and fast. The room layout is crowded and not very efficient. The desk space, for example, is right next to where the a/c blows air, so if you try to work there and need the air conditioning on, you will freeze yourself. The air blows directly onto the workspace, making it mostly unusable. My room had a flat screen t.v. and a tiny dorm refrigerator. Toiletries are provided in communal squeeze bottles, which was fun. Even the liquid hand soap at the sink is a squeeze bottle (there's yummy smelling lemon lotion, too). There's no bar soap provided so if you're weird about shower gel (like me), make sure you pack your own soap. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. Everything in the room was sparkling. I also loved the Pergo style floors. No dirty carpet! The a/c is decent, which is important in a desert climate like Glendale, but they have the Amana a/c controls to only go as low as 65 degrees. Ugh. 65 sounds cool enough, but in the desert, it is not. I have to have it super cold to sleep, and I woke up sweating several times during the night. Normally I'd give a hotel with these devil devices no more than one star, but this is just such a lovely property otherwise. The room itself is very small, but well laid out. It's sparse, and reminded me a lot of budget properties in Europe like Mercure or Ibis. There's no closet, but simply a metal bar and some coat hangers coming out of the ceiling. There's a weird bench under the t.v., but you couldn't really use it because if you sat there you'd hit your head on the t.v. There are thoughtful touches like extra hooks by the door for bags / purses / coats, and plenty of bright lighting. Ample free parking was another nice perk. I didn't partake in the free breakfast, but it looked good. Lots of cereals and cold food items. The lobby is funky and adorable, with a hockey foosball table (fun!) and lots of seating. It reminded me a hipster coffee shop, and hanging out was encouraged. All of the interior design is bright and cheerful, too. We were in town for a hockey game and wanted a place near the Gila River Arena, preferably one where we could walk so we could enjoy adult beverages at the game. This hotel is within easy walking distance to the Arena as well as the Westgate Entertainment District, which has TONS of restaurants and shops and bars! It's the ideal place to stay if you're in Arizona for a sporting event (the Arizona Cardinals is right next door too). This was a comfortable stay, but I'm not sure I'd want to stay longer than a night or two. It's not quite as luxe as I'm accustomed to when traveling, but it's a comfy little hotel. read more

This girl deserves a promotion, a raise, all of the things. It was an insanely busy weekend with the Charlie Kirk event, and she went out of her way to make sure I had all the things that I needed, and all of my questions were answered. First I want to say Juan-Carlos at the room desk was so nice and welcoming. I appreciate you and your kindness. Lobby bathroom was stocked with feminine hygiene items, I thought that was super nice. You don't always see that. Room: It was small compared to hampering in where we usually stay but it was nice and had everything you could need (except microwave) . We were able to sign into our Netflix and adjust thermostat as needed. HOWEVER One thing I didn't like was the floors felt dirty and kinda sticky. Bathroom looked nice. But something I haven't seen before except and Disney world they had shampoo, conditioner, lotion and body wash in squeeze bottles attached to the walls. It smells nice Ave worked well. HOWEVER there was a hair in the shower on the wall and when I did take a shower the floor was so slippery ( out of the norm slippery) I thought I was going to fall. This place is the perfect location along with the most professional staff. Across from the Tangers Outlet, Enterntainment District and the Cardinals stadium. The complimentary breakfast (pancake machine operates by waving your hand) was fresh and pretty good, the check in was outstanding thanks to Aryanna. We stayed here one night, as we were volunteering the following day at State Farm arena. The hotel is in a great location and you're right by Westgate fun restaurants and stuff to do. First- the room was clean. Bed was comfortable and the air conditioner was a single unit for your room. The walls are super thin though. There were kids from sports teams- Maybe soccer? Staying here and at midnight- they were running up and down the hall. Unfortunately, adult voices were heard as well, and they certainly weren't trying to quiet these kids. While the hotel has a big sign when you walk into the lobby that masks are required, there were quite a few people sitting in the lobby in groups without masks on (no, they were not eating or drinking), so we rushed thru the lobby to get to our room. We ended up staying there and doing a DoorDash since we didn't feel safe anywhere else in this hotel. The 'market' in the lobby has a few limited items- and a microwave that can be used, but be sure to plan on meals elsewhere. We had to leave at 4.45a so cannot comment on the breakfast offerings. read more

We visited this hotel for one night for the Cardinals game. Thank you for the free snacks, water and some sanitizing wipes when I ask for it kudos to your front desk concierge. The room was pretty clean I was exceptionally impressed with the shower how white it was. I always wipe things down for my own safety. The only issue was one of the beds had stains! That's not acceptable. When housekeeping are making the beds and providing towels they should definitely pay close attention to stains and raggedy sheets. read more

We stayed there for the night of The Rolling Stones concert on 5/7/24. We payed an incredibly high rate, as all the hotels near the stadium jacked up their prices due to the concert. We chose the hotel as it's walking distance to the stadium, but weren't really sure that we would enjoy our stay considering some reviews of the hotel and the fact that they jacked up their prices. Surprise, surprise! We had a very enjoyable night at the Tru by Hilton. Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were professional and friendly. Most of all, the hotel was very quiet despite being completely full. We would definitely consider staying there again, just not at that price. read more

I am visiting from Los Angeles, and have stayed at the Renaissance and some nearby Marriott's here in Glendale. The hotel, service, staff and ambiance at Tru by Hilton Phoenix Glendale (Westgate) is unlike any other *better than I could've imagined. 10/10 Highly recommend. If you are coming to Glendale for a game at Gila River Arena or looking for somewhere near Westgate, this is the hotel for you! I am so grateful I found this hotel- sadly I didn't experience all of the amazing amenities but I did get to take a peek and you will not be disappointed :) I was frantically looking for a hotel after the hockey game at Westgate. I was without a phone and I checked in around 4am, not expecting much. I was in a bad mood and that didn't change the outstanding customer service I experienced. Thank you to Amanda, the guest service agent on the night shift for being so kind and getting me into a room so quickly, despite it being a busy night and the computer malfunctioning. She was kind enough to grant me a late checkout and I was able to get some sleep (finally.) The property is extremely secure and I haven't felt this comfortable in a hotel for as long as I can remember. I had trouble getting my luggage from my car and the security was on property driving around making sure I was alright... This property's cleanliness, lovely staff and ambiance is unlike any other. They truly raised the bar for hotels in this area....If you have a chance checkout their gorgeous lobby.. tons of space to work and hang with a beautiful view of the pool. I am endlessly grateful for the staff and their patience and kindness. I was without my phone for most of the night. Shout out to Francine at the front desk for allowing me the time and space I needed to figure out how to retrieve my property (being out of town.) Overall great hotel! Our stay was great Only problem was the check in clerk was rude and unhelpful. She was working the night shift and was an older white woman. Had a problem with the reservation name but did not offer us help but just insisted we figure it out on our own. Did not offer any suggestions at all to help or to even call to solve the problem. We later called to figure out the problem. Problem was resolved but she did not help out at all and also did not open the door for us to get in until we tapped on the door even though she saw us waiting. read more

Tbe refused to acknowledge several issue that compromised my stay from restful and relaxing to terrifying! The front desk is NOT open 24 hrs. I know this because I called the front desk on my first night at Tru Hotel in WestGate to report that the shower water temps went from cool to scolding hot in a matter of minutes and I was NOT able to control it by turning the water knob to the label of "cooler"!! NOPE the water temps remained scolding! When I went to complain to the front desk they could not leave the front desk because they were the only ones there that night. The next day I had a busy day and again at the end of my day I had the same problem with the (scolding) water and front desk personnel NOT being unavailable to help. When I went to check out I shared my experience and they laughed saying that's what it's like that during the summers and an out of towner agreed. My home is in Queen Creek and I've never had that experience with my shower. I'm on vacation and need to be able to rest and relax. Having only scolding water to shower is not relaxing. Please fix this, make this right. I paid a lot of money to be burned alive. If this is not addressed properly I'll never trust Tru Hotel. read more

The rooms at this hotel are perfect sized if you ask me, they have an open modern concept, the bathroom is the only closed off part of the room. The location is also great, you have access to the Tanger outlets, WestGate Entertainment District with bars and restaurants(some you can get a discount with your room key), Gila River Arena, and State Farm Stadium. Camelback Ranch is a short drive away, making this a good spot for Dodger and White Sox Spring Training. The Peoria Sports Complex is also just a short drive down the road. If you are looking for a good spot to stay for events at Gila River or State Farm this would be it, you can walk over and walk back with no problems. In the lobby behind the front desk is a small assortment of soft drinks and beers, candy and other various snacks. They also have a small assortment of meal type items(hot pockets, etc.). These items are available to be checked out at the front desk and charged to the room or paid by card/cash. The continental breakfast for the most part was good, they have a bread area with bagels, English muffins, muffins, and donut holes. They have a meat( bacon or sausage patty's or links), an egg type( two days while I was here it was omelettes, one with peppers and one with just cheese, the last day was scrambled eggs). They have oatmeal, cereal, and various toppings. They have a pretty cool pancake machine that makes delicious pancakes. Finally they have a juice dispenser that has various types of juice. The only problem I had was the upkeep on the breakfast, the pancake machine was down for one of the days I was there, the juice machine was out of apple mix so instead it just poured out colored water, and on the same day the bagel I had was rather hard and stale on the outside, it had been sitting out for awhile. Overall, this hotel was a great stay, rather pricey but worth it for the convenience of the location. I would stay here again if the price was right. read more
