I had to sleep on top because it was too warm. The thermostat setting lied, so I am guessing the hotel has some kind of temperature cap/fix at 73ish? If wasn't atrociously hot, but it wasn't cool enough for sleeping. The conversation rooms upstairs was spacious and clean. The lobby and registration desk were beautiful with amiable staff. The elevators are on the smaller side.

I was told to go around the corner to the public parking garage and take the elevator down to ground level and walk back... to be honest downtown is super sketchy on a Friday night after midnight. Lots of homeless people on the streets and party mode from ... locals? When the elevator opened, we were horrified to see a mostly undressed, homeless man laying on the ground outside the elevator, and then had to exit through a super dark and deserted alley. Bottom line I do not feel like this was a safe option for a traveling mom and teenage son. I communicated to the front desk and hopefully to Management that they should offer the public parking garage rate of $45 instead of the valet rate of $90 for the safety of their guests after 11 PM. The lobby is gorgeous at this hotel, unfortunately the rooms do not even come close. As a Hilton diamond member we were given a very small room with two double beds that was clearly updated last around the year 2000. It had a great view of the alley that we had just exited through. And as others have mentioned, the room credit for food was laughable... The only two options were to order room service, which I did within the $50 limit I was allotted and yet with all the add-ons my bill came to over $74. Or I could have used it in the coffee shop that had no real breakfast options. Bottom line, with the issues that I experienced this hotel was definitely not worth the nightly rate. Unfortunately, I would not recommend.

Large showers in the room, small fridge and coffee machine. Plenty of closet space. Bathrooms are well stocked with towels and rags, plus shampoo, conditioner and body wash on the shower. Conference room space is perfect for large and small groups. Meals are efficient and there's never a lack of coffee or drinks. The only negative were the elevators. I'm unsure all were working and it led to lines after full day meetings. It was worse this year than others. JW is a more expensive hotel option. Parking is underneath hotel and we paid $56 per night. (Oof!) Many restaurants are a quick walk or Uber.

We had originally planned to self-park to save some money, but with the traffic and everything going on, we ended up valet parking. I believe it was around $75-$80 for the night, so definitely something to keep in mind when budgeting for your stay. Once we actually got to the hotel, everything was easy. Unloading was quick, and the hotel itself was beautiful. There was a fancy restaurant, a bar, and another more casual restaurant with bar food, so there were plenty of options without even having to leave the hotel. The décor was gorgeous, and the whole place had a really upscale feel. It was an especially busy weekend in Indianapolis. There was a wedding at the hotel, a football game, a baseball game, and a concert, so downtown was packed! Despite how busy everything was, the hotel still felt clean and well-managed. The location is fantastic if you're going to an event downtown. You can easily walk across to the baseball stadium, and we walked about 20 minutes to the Fieldhouse for the Garth Brooks concert. It was so nice being able to walk instead of dealing with parking and traffic, and there were plenty of restaurants along the way. Our favorite part of the stay was probably our corner room. We had windows upon windows, giving us incredible views of the city. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was SO comfortable, and the shower was great. I also really appreciated having a refrigerator in the room. My friend is a Titanium-level Marriott member, so we also received some extra perks. They came in to turn down our beds and left a little chocolate on the pillow, which was such a fun touch. We were also able to visit the lounge for drinks and snacks. Personally, the candy bar was my favorite before the concert! We even had breakfast there the next morning, which was a great way to start the day. The only thing that was a little inconvenient was the elevator situation. We were staying in what I believe was the lower-rise portion of the hotel on the 9th floor. To get to the high-rise section, we had to take the elevator down to the 4th floor, walk over to another set of elevators, and then take those up to the 31st floor. It wasn't a huge deal, but it was definitely a little confusing and inconvenient at times. Overall, though, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was extremely clean, the location was perfect for exploring downtown and attending events, our room was spacious with an amazing view, and we slept incredibly well. I don't know how to describe how cool the design of the hotel is. It's in a great location by some terrific restaurants. The staff is wonderful. The only downside is that it's expensive. Valet parking is $48/night, but there's a paid lot across the street for $18/night and another paid lot behind the hotel for $30/night. For locals thinking about a staycation, this is a great place to stay!

We didn't spend a lot of time in the room, but there was nothing in our visit that stood out as something we were missing or that would have made us more comfortable. The bedding, the pillows, everything was great. Easy walk to the Gainbridge Field House. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Excellent place to stay. Check out was super easy. Just walk out and drop your cards in the box off elevators. We walked out to our car and drove away. My only concern is that the emailed folio with the total for the weekend was about $40 less than what was actually charged to my card. The charge to my card is only a hold, so when that payment settles, it should be the stated amount in the confirmation email.

When we got into the room. The staff was super accommodating and made sure that we removed a few doors down to a room that was smoke-free. Room was a good quality. Double beds. Shower okay, no bathtub. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. The only downside about the coffee maker was that the universal coffee and plastic attachments did not go with the machine. It should have been a closed environment, but it was not. Once you inserted the plastic coffee filter and place the coffee filter pod into the maker, there was a gap, which led to splashing of the hot water onto the coffee filter pod that led to coffee Bean all over the desk. Breakfast every morning. Waffles, either scrambled eggs or pre-cooked omelette, pork sausage, chicken sausage. Golden potatoes, yogurt, fruit, various breads, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Pretty good size dining room as well. On the second floor. Second floor was also where the fitness center was. The floors were labeled with having vending machines on floors 4 and 7:00, but I could not find any. There was a snack area on the first floor where you could purchase snacks by scanning with self-checkout. Refrigerated items, frozen items, candy, chips, etc. The only thing the room really needed was a deep clean. Crevices and corners could have used some extra care and love. Outside of that, no complaints. Security key required to get into the hotel, as well as up the elevator.

My only knock was that the customer service experience at the desk was a bit different between the night staff and the morning stuff. The young woman who is working overnight, seemed very preoccupied and slightly annoyed when I had some pretty basic questions. This was completely contrasted by the young woman who was working in the morning. I saw her going above and beyond whether it was making sure the trash left for breakfast was taken care of or checking us out. Having worked in hospitality, I understand that anybody can have a bad night, but overall our stay was great and we would definitely recommend this place for anyone coming in town from one of the major events or anyone just looking to have a fun staycation.
