Really enjoyed our first stay at Aloft CCTX! No charge for pets, pool table and games downstairs, lobby bar, outdoor pool...and did I mention no pet fee?!!! The rooms are designed spaciously with nice design touches. Wish they had a sofa option, but oh well. We had a microwave, mini fridge, large TV, and comfy beds. Now, there is breakfast but you have to order and pay. My wife got me a bacon and egg sandwich for nine dollars that, sorry to say, was pretty pathetic. Bad enough that I would just not even offer breakfast options if that's what you're going to give because it takes down the allure of the brand. For some people food is important and no one will be raving about these options. read more

It's been a minute and boy has this place gone down! The 1st thing that ruined our stay was the staff. I have never seen a bigger bunch of lazy people. The woman that checked us in was so rude and acted like it was such an inconvenience to give us 2 keys. Then, OMG, we get to the room and it's the wrong room type. So we change rooms and again had to ask for 2 keys for 2 people. We get to the 2nd room and 1 key did not work, so we had to go back and that about killed her to have to give us another one. Every time we walked through the lobby the person working the front was sitting in the lounge on their phone. One guy was in the lobby on his phone arguing with his wife. The 1bartender we interacted with was very nice and helpful. Another bartender sat in a golf cart playing on her phone outside. There was a political event that was going on one evening in the lobby and we couldn't even get through the people to get to our room and we did not see anyone from the hotel trying to keep a walkway clear for guests. There is no ice machine on the 1st floor so you have to go upstairs or the bartender will give you some if someone is there. You can only enter through the front door. There are other doors you can exit, but you cannot use your key to enter. Parking sucks, especially because you cannot get into any of the other doors. The room never did get very cold and this is July so it's hot. There is a bench on top of the AC, so the air does not shoot up, it is blocked. They painted all the walls white since the last time I was here and the rooms are very baron and depressing. The bedding on the bed is too heavy, especially when the AC does not cool the room. The refrigerator is too small with no freezer section. The shower has no pressure. When someone above us flushed the toilet it sounded like the ceiling would cave in. Overall everything is old and dingy. It's time for an update We won't be back. read more

First night was great! However the next day we left for the beach. We left the blue little card on the bed to mark that we wanted our sheets changed and left the towels on the floor signaling fresh towels. We come back from along day at the beach and the bed was not made and no clean towels. I went downstairs and the lady at the desk handed me the bedding and the towels. Saying "we don't have housekeeping at night" we had to make our own bed not something you want to do on vacation. First time I would rate a hotel with this low score. To be honest, the room is fair, lobby is fair and other aspect is similar. The only issue is: you can not sleep here. On the other side of the street, there are bars, super noisy till 2AM, and the hotel's noise insulation is terrible, you can hear people whispering in the corridor, people walking upstairs like stomping by your head, mysterious clicking from no one knows where, of course the loud music from the bars. The front desk and the manager are indifferent. They don't care about the request to switch a room to the back and the complaints. The hotel is great except you cannot sleep in the night. Fool me once, but not a second time. I hope this review can help the others not being fooled a single time. Last thing to mention, it's quite surprising such a small bar can give so loud music, they must have some pretty good reviews. read more

I stayed here about a year and a half ago and it was great! This time, not so much.. The staff is incredibly unprofessional and the lack of attention to detail when it comes to general upkeep has gone very downhill. The handle on the door to my room required my full body weight to push it down in order to open the door and had to be slammed to shut it. The AC unit was SO noisy! At check in I was told I had 2 rooms, which was impossible because I had the cancellation confirmation for one of those rooms. I was assured it was all set and sorry for the confusion. I checked my statement today; they charged me one night in the second room because I had "checked in" on the app. I did not check into 2 rooms, checked into 1 room. I was traveling alone- why would I check into 2 rooms? And WHY did you tell me it was all set if it in fact wasn't and you were going to charge me? read more

I wanted to love to this location because I love Aloft's. But sadly it's been issue after issue since checking in. I'm no complainer so I said nothing up until my second night when I just couldn't take it another second. Before I even begin to discuss all of the negatives I would love to highlight the positives. The staff here is insanely helpful and nice. And really tried to accommodate me. From the moment I walked through the door I was greeted with such amazing energy. The lobby is beautifully decorated and the bar is a total vibe. They also have a great happy hour. This area is actually prefect because it's conveniently located near tons of restaurants and shopping. The hotel is clean, I could smell the cleanliness as I entered the door. The room was also clean I felt comfortable enough to walk about the room in my socks. The bathroom was spotless as well. The floor were freshly mopped. Which is a major plus for me because as stated before everyone's definition of clean isn't the same. The AC unit is obnoxiously loud. Imagine being so noisy and still not work. It didn't heat nor cool the room and refused to go off. Talking about barely getting rest and I am in town for a work trip go figure. But the front desk staff did offer to switch my room but I only had one more night so I didn't want to waste a room. The water pressure in the sink is extremely low. The toilet has to be flushed twice to get it to do anything remotely close actually flushing. The mattress is hard as a rock and the pillows went completely flat once I rested my head upon one. The parking is limited for such a large hotel but it didn't really seem to affect my stay. But on a holiday or busy weekend I can see how that can be a problem. read more

Absolute worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Do not book this hotel if you plan on sleeping. There is a nightclub within 20 feet of the hotel and the music paired with loud cars driving by all night will ensure your eyes remain open all night. Will never ever stay here again. Scruffy. Everything looks modern and flashy from a distance, but maintenance was severely lacking. In the public areas several large pieces of trim and paint were obviously missing, all the first floor doors were badly scraped, the pool furniture had cigarette burns, etc. The room smelled like a bottle of rubbing alcohol was poured into the a/c unit and didn't dissipate over three days. All of the hooks/door handles were loose or falling off and the closed shower door leaked & half flooded the bathroom floor. We got an absolutely phenomenal price for the room and enjoyed the lobby, pool, and on-site bar. The hotel is geared towards young professionals/couples instead of families with children, which was good for our group. Without these amenities we would have been very disappointed. read more

First time visiting Corpus Christi for work and heard most Marriott properties in the area are not up to par. Decided to try the Aloft as they typically are newer and much nicer. Overall the outside, entrance and lobby were clean. The rooms really lack maintenance. The shower leaked when in use, shower head held together by tape and scuffs and dirty walls. Room was also not serviced during my stay as it should have been. Would highly recommend Marriott gives some attention to this property. Overall for the price of the stay ($99 per night) I would more than likely stay here again in hopes of being in a cleaner more functional room. read more

Not the best, not the worst hotel I have experienced. Aloft Corpus Christi can be improved. Pros include: nice room layout, plenty of free parking, friendly staff, great coffee, modern chic atmosphere, basic pool area. Some cons my party experienced were keycard issues. Six new keycards were made for one of the rooms we booked. One clerk did not ask for ID during one of these incidents. One of two elevators were also out of order. A hanging light fixture by its wires dangles under the entrance shelter. One thing I noticed about Corpus Christi is how windy this town can be. Something I truly appreciate, but one strong gust of wind, and wires may not hold. read more

Aloft hotel is a pretty cool, trendy looking hotel with a billiards table and board games available in the spacious common area. It's really well lit and has great decor. The rooms were clean, tidy, and well put together. Large king size beds plus plenty of outlets. I enjoyed the small coffee maker and bottle of water AND really enjoyed the soap and lotion (such a great smell) Now the bad: I say rooms because the toilet in the first room began to leak and we were given the option of more towels to clean it up or move to a new room. New room it is! We were also given comp breakfast vouchers, so that's a plus. Next, the bathroom door is barn door style, though trendy and cool, it isn't sound proof or well sealed... Then, this location is across the street from a popular bar/hangout that had loud and obnoxious patrons yelling, peeling out, and racing at 2am... This was severely annoying and went if for 15+ minutes. read more

Definitely a bummer. I'm a literal native person from Corpus Christi but live in Austin now. I visit CC for business and to spend time with my tribe and family. I stayed for one night. My room did not have hot water and our toilet never flushed. Front desk told us there were water issues that day but that they'd be resolved by nightfall, not the case. I can handle the party outside at the pool til 12am I can handle the curious way our room was moist at all times I can handle pouring buckets of water down my toilet to make it flush I can handle taking cold showers I can handle eating a pizza from the kitchen absolutely dripping (no exaggeration) in grease I really can. What I cannot handle is paying $230 for the experience, reporting my experience, and not being offered any compensation of any kind? An "oh really?" :-/ Is a lil sucky. It's disappointing because the staff seemed to love their job until issues arose. In which case, be prepared for a very polite but cold shoulder. Loved the woman behind the bar. And a tremendous thank you to the kitchen staff that stayed to make our pizzas. Yea they were greasy as hell but come on.... It's pizza and it was late. Thank you. I love CC, it's my home and I will be back, just not at this Aloft. read more

Stay here if you like sleeping with roaches! Stayed here numerous times... I keep watching the maintenance go unnoticed, fixtures needing replaced, shower pressure issues, cleanliness go downhill. Finally had the last straw when I not only found large roaches in the room, but front desk and management didn't seem to care. There was no management phone call or email to follow up. Dismissed the whole thing as apparently sleeping in a room with bugs is somehow acceptable. Not only did I see 3 huge adult roaches scatter under the bed when I turned on the lights, I even killed a baby one and took a picture to show them. Time stamped photo with the Aloft shower and all. Baby roaches are worst because that means they're breeding! I even started a chat in the app with the complaint/issue and no one even responded at all. Never staying here again. read more

Pros- pet friendly with no extra fee, cute rooms, cold a/c in the room. Cons- a bar is right across the street, so you will hear loud music until 2 am. This is my number one reason alone for not ever returning. Paper thin walls and floors. You can hear anything and everything through the halls, and people walking. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. My sides were hurting when I woke up. All in all, it's an interesting concept but the noise ruined it for me. read more

I checked into aloft Corpus Christi to relax and get away from all the stress at work or so i thought. Upon booking this hotel, I asked for no room service as I am on vacation and getting up early wasn't a priority. However, every morning around 8am I am woken by a knock and then someone trying to enter the room (housekeeping). Also, the hotel have posted signs saying they will be entering rooms to clean carpet (very inconvenient as everyone in the hotel is not here for work). This morning on 4 different occasions, I was awakened by someone trying to get in the room while I was sleep. I will not be staying here again, and would strongly recommend reconsidering staying here if you're looking for a place to relax and get good rest. read more

We stayed at Aloft this last July. This location allows pets which was evident when we walked into the strong smell of wet dog in our room. To the property, please consider using cleaning products with stronger deodorizers to effectively mask the scent of our furry friends. The design of the room wasn't the best because the fridge and microwave were right next to the bathroom. The bathroom has large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash instead of the hotel providing travel size bottles. Aloft does not offer free breakfast but there is food for purchase and even a bar. This particular brand of Marriott has more of a party feel for large groups or families. There is a pool table and games available to play in the common area that has several tables. The swimming pool and work out area were very nice and the workout center had towels, water and even ear buds available. The location is not close to the beach but is still in a good location in the middle of the city. The staff was friendly and the decor colorful and modern. read more

This chain had done a really good job in keeping consistency on each one of their hotels, you'll never get disappointed (unless there is no room available lol) The one here in Corpus Christi, you can tell the staff was following the rules to prevent COVID-19 at all times, and they didn't seem annoying of having to wear a mask, really enjoy the stay during this pandemic. The bar had a local beer really good, I can't remember the name of It right now. The room was nice, my wife and I particularly like the position the bed is facing the windows, that's not usual in other hotels. Very easy going, affordable, and clean. Usually when I travel I try to always stay at the Aloft. They are my favorite hotel. While this one could have used some work, we still made the best of it. Booked the last room they had available which was a ADA unit. The room was very spacious. The bathroom shower was tight with the bars in the way. The shower curtain was molded. The Wi-Fi was down but they were trying to get it back up and running. Heard a dog barking off and on not sure if it was in a room next to us or just in the hallway. The lady working the front desk was very friendly and made the check in process smooth. read more

At 2am, I was woken again by screaming from a fight happening in the parking lot. Apparently, ppl from the club park in the hotel parking lot. Check in is at 3, we got to the hotel at 4:30. We reserved a king room a week in advance, and we show up ON A WEDNESDAY.... And no king rooms are available??? Without saying a word they send us up to 2 double beds. When my husband inquires the woman states that our room is all they have available and "we are getting a pretty good deal". Well, here's the DEAL, if we knew we weren't getting our reservation, we would have never booked in this noisy, dirty, hotel. Do yourselves a favor and checkout the La Quinta down the street. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I was traveling for work and decided to book here due to the good rates and the location. The free breakfast didn't hurt either. The hotel is very modern and looks to be newly built. The staff were extremely nice and took great care of me. The breakfast is okay. There are a few choices of wraps or bowls as well as several options for bagels, fruit, and cereals. It was super cool to grab something quick on the way out in the mornings. The rooms are nice as well. Nice set up with the split area of bathroom and sleeping area. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the shower was not the cleanest it could've been. The room was clean as well as the bathroom but the shower itself just wasn't as clean as it should have been. It was cleaned after the maid service came through. read more

Not very clean. Check in process took forever. A lot of oilfield workers stay here. This is not s bad thing, but makes it a little loud in lobby/bar area. It seems to be a new property, but already getting worn down. Maid didn't clean my room, other than providing new towels. There was hair from previous guests in shower and shower drain. As well, a cosmetic make up brush on the floor from a previous guest. How do you miss that? read more

Stayed here around 2 years ago which was great. My husband and I decided to give this place another shot. Not what it used to be. When checking in, the lady at the front desk is super friendly which is awesome. When coming in the room, you can smell that the carpet is wet. Warning!! The bed is super hard!! You will wake up with pain and troubles in getting up due to it feeling like you're sleeping on a flat surface! Our AC goes in and out when it wants to but super cold when it wants to work! We had the walk in shower and the water feels slippery and the shower leaks. They have complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body gel. My husband and I decided to hit up the pool, which was pretty dirty odd smell to it and a bunch of people leave their trash there. There is also a bar and open music when it hits the evening. The doors are super heavy when trying to enter the hotel even the ones to enter your room. This hotel needs its upgrades but still fair. Will be looking for a better hotel when staying in Corpus Christi! read more

Stayed here over the weekend. Giving 3 stars because of how pet friendly they are. Pros: pet friendly without a pet fee, heated pool. Cons: my room smelled like kitty litter. I put in some requests on the Bonvoy app, none of which were fulfilled. Housekeeping isn't currently doing full service room cleans unless requested due to covid which is fine but I was not told of this at checkin so I wasn't aware of this and when I found out it was too late to put in a request. Also, there were people yelling in the hallway late at night which made it hard to sleep. Will probably stay somewhere else next time I'm in town. read more

Pretty nice hotel and it's certainly got a modern and trendy feel to it. The staff has all been nice but not overly friendly or "out of their way" helpful... that's the best way to put it. All the areas are pretty clean and still seem fairly new. The room is nice and has a little different layout to it than traditional hotel rooms. When arriving, I asked the receptionist if the two rooms I booked through a third-party were adjoining. She asked if that was listed on the instructions. I advised her that I called the hotel directly and asked this to be done. The receptionist stated she would note this on the reservation. Unfortunately, we did not get adjoining rooms. One of our rooms had an issue with the AC unit. I reported this to the front desk and an engineer was sent to our room. He temporarily fixed the unit but by the evening the room was warm again. There was also an issue with the showers in both of our rooms leaking at the base about 10ft into our room when they were used. This was reported to the hotel as well but nothing was done. I had to get more towels from housekeeping just so we could soak up the water on the floor. The woman with housekeeping stated that she had reported this to the hotel several times. We have an Aloft Hotel in our city and was surprised of the poor conditions of this one. We will not be returning. read more

Business directly across the street from the hotel. Playing loud music at 8:15 in the morning on a Saturday. Our windows were shaking and rattling and woke us up. We brought a box fan with us and a noise maker. It's ridiculous for them to play it that loud. I called the hotel to complain and they said there was nothing they could do so I had to call the city of corpus. The lady that answered my call at Aloft didn't seem surprised at all. They seem to be aware of the situation. Sounded like this happens every Saturday and it's 'not there problem'. She should have offered to call the business and ask them to turn it down. Or had a manger contacted about the situation. This hotel was cheap, I guess this is the type of service you should expect. We will spend the extra money next time and stay somewhere else. Waiting on the police now. read more

This was refreshing stay. Was a platinum member of SPG and loved the hot breakfast a lot and coffee. Also whole establishment was very clean. Only negative is front desk had no dress code and in jeans so was confused who was working front desk BUT they were amazing once I knew they work at the hotel. Very friendly! Rooms spacious and great showers and just honestly a perfect example of 5 stars for Corpus!! I see the location part and as somebody who has had to come to Corpus a lot for work it really is a great location. I know it doesn't over look the ocean but it's close to all the good places to eat on Staples, Airline, Saratoga and Alameda and it's right of 358 loop. You can get to the island in 5-10 minutes and a lot of shopping in 1-5 minutes. It's near the central hub or the city. Will be returning without a doubt and love fair pricing! read more

Lovely hotel with beautiful 1960's retro decore with a 2019 flair. The reception desk was ever helpful, check in and out was simple and fast. My room was on the third floor overlooking the highway. Notwithstanding the proximity of the hotel to the highway, the room was very quiet. Given the cost per night, it was expected that the room be clean and well equipped. I was not at all disappointed. On the desk stood a charging station with two USB ports and two (110) plugs and on one night stand, beside the large and comfortable king size bed, stood an alarm clock with another two plugs and two USB ports. Over the other night stand stood an electrical receptacle with two plugs. Upon entering there was the bathroom area and then a spacious bedroom desk area. The television is an LG 40 inch (?) with wonderful reception and picture quality. The room itself is on the large side but lacks an easy chair and foot rest. There is a small fridge, a coffee maker, a microwave, a full size ironing board, an iron and a safe. Of course there is amble clothing storage as well. The commode is in the shower area and can be made private via a soft closing pocket doom. If you like bowls for sinks then you will like the wash area. My only concern was the shower. Although large and well appointed, the floor was a bit slippery. I would recommend that elderly visitors request a room with a shower containing a grab bar. Finally, the shower door had a pinhole leak at the bottom that caused the bath mat to become wet. Again, nothing major, however, to an elderly person this may be of concern. Upon my return to Corpus Cristi I will be lodging at the Aloft even if I do not come with my dog. Speaking of pets there is something to consider when traveling with a pet: the Aloft does not surcharge for pet stays and there is a pet walk just in back of the hotel. The other highly rated Corpus hotel charges an additional fee for pets. Finally, in place of a daily paper, management provides a copy of"Wired." The magazine fits the 'look' of the hotel -although a copy of the local paper; at least in the lobby; would not hurt. If you do not need to be directly in the business district and can stand to drive ten minutes to get to downtown Corpus, save yourself the extra money to spend on the fine dining establishments that the city has to offer. read more

My husband, daughter and I stayed here some time ago and we had a good experience. Front receptionist was helpful and friendly. We reserved from Booking.com and our stay came with a free breakfast which tasted okay, they had a good selection though. I really liked their spacious rooms, and bed was super comfortable. There is a bar and entertainment area at the front with pool table. Outside where the pool is was nice with its outdoor fireplace. Very modern. We would like to come back some day. read more

We were looking forward to staying in this new hotel, but we now regret it. We always stay in a Marriot hotel and wanted to give Aloft a chance. Shower area was not very clean but the worse part was the shower door looks like it is about to fall. Screws are coming off the wall and door only opens about half way, while making a crackling noise. When I took a shower I had to use all the extra towels to clean all the water that leaked out of the tilting glass door. Toilet has a water leak. Everywhere you look you see bad workmanship, patched walls everywhere and tiles looked like they were installed by amateurs. Not sure we will ever stay here. I gave it 2 stars because the beds are comfortable, the ac is cold and the room was big. read more

Best place to stay when your in Corpus Christi hands down. They have a bar with good happy hour, free pool and free coffee and latte's 24/7. Cleanest and most updated place in town. Highly recommend this place. read more
