A Very Well Managaed Marriot Property I was in the Corpus Christi area for Business and was referred to this hotel by business associates from the area. They were right as this hotel was in a prime location near the waterfront and close to many very popular restaurants. The hotel is very well designed and very well kept. From the moment I checked in the moment I checked out, it was a great experience. My room was fantastic as I stayed in a one-bedroom, two-bed suite with a great view from the room. My room had everything I needed and was immaculate. I had room to store my luggage, roll out my yoga mat and still had room for more. The hotel's wifi was easy to connect to and I had no issues. The room has multiple USB and power outlets for all of your devices. The bathroom was spotless and came with enough towels to last me a few days. I used the hotel's gym, the lobby, and the lounge outside by the pool. I also was able to enjoy a few drinks at the very classy hotel bar. This is a great hotel to stay in and I most likely will stay here again. read more

Do not stay here! This used to be my preferred Marriott location in Corpus. I'm looking for a new spot now. The location is ideal if you're doing anything downtown, but that's where the accommodations stop. Short version: The property is not maintained. The rooms are not cleaned to a Marriott standard. It was similar to staying at a motel. Long version: Rust and mold all over the shower and bathroom indicating that the shower is not properly wiped down between visitors. STAINS. Stains on my pillowcase, comforter, and a very suspicious stain on the floor near my bed. Finally, the pool was DISGUSTING. Algae all over the place, especially from the "fountain" shooting out water. There was an awful smell as well. If you're looking for a great location - this is the way. But if you want to sleep in a clean space and enjoy a clean pool - stay anywhere else. read more

My first time at this location in CC. I prefer the other one on S. Padre because it seems more clean, modern, and there weren't homeless people around like at this one. I also didn't notice any security guards. The only plus here was the breakfast and being close to the beach so the views are calm. The vegan sausages were really good! Requested room be cleaned at 10am since not all hotels do this automatically, asked for batteries for living room TV be replace as not working and requested a luggage stand as closet didn't have one like ALL hotels. Upon returning to the room at 4pm, it had not been done. I went to the front desk, spoke to the female Manager and her response was that they had a full hotel and could not get to it. I replied that at $300 a night, I was not getting a discount for less services. She apologized but said nothing could be done. I then came back later and a young female clerk was at front desk with a male coworker. I asked if I could get coffee as I wanted new pods. She made a face to her coworker and I called her on it, saying I don't need attitude. Reported to Marriott and said hotel saidbwe never complained. This hotel has many issues and no available parking. They have a lady manager who doesn't care aboutncusomers. read more

I was disappointed in my stay. We came in for a funeral. I only stay at Mariotts because of their quality if service and cleanliness, however this place was below par. There were no complimentary bottle waters and when requested front desk told me sometimes you have some and sometimes we don't. I ask for a bottle water to take medication and she said I need to check in a customer and then I'll go to the back to check. There was no coffee pot either in the room that was $300 a night. The room was a bit humid the ac never cooled. The bathroom still had the legs of insects and the shower door had paint on it. Giant hassle with cancelation: I followed this Hotel's cancelation procedures well exceeding their 48 hour cancelation requirement. Contrary to their own policy, they charged my card anyway. Was this incompetence or something nefarious? After contacting the hotel 3 times and leaving 2 messages for the manager (calls not returned), I was left with only one alternative, disputing the charge with my credit card company. They then fought my dispute! While my good record keeping helped me win the dispute two months later, my recommend to all is to just avoid this hotel and the potential hassle if you need to cancel. read more

I do not recommend this hotel. When I checked in and requested a corporate rate? I was told I had to wait for the morning. When asked if I had a car I told her no.., Next morning I had to approach the front desk and request a corporate rate. When we finally found one different from the one expected. I was told it was accepted, When I received my bill it was never applied. And my bill included parking!!!! When the GM Brian Vaughn wrote me an email thanking me for the stay. My husband and I stayed a few nights earlier this month and had a stunning view of the bay in room 505. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the staff. The hotel itself was impeccably clean and spotless. Breakfast every morning had tons of options. Being horribly gluten intolerant, they had several food items for me a eggs, bacon, potatoes, and Udi's muffins one of the days. The only reason I'm not giving a full five stars is housekeeping. It's literally the only negative experience we had. I asked for housekeeping to do a sweep, and we our stay went on, the service got worse. One of the days, we asked for fresh towels and for them to do a sweep. They literally left the pile on the bathroom floor and placed the towels on the TV stand. I get Covid protocols, but every other hotel (and other Marriott properties) I've stayed at have provided better housekeeping. Besides that, the hotel is across the street from the bay, and there are local beaches if you don't want to drive to Padre Island. It's also close to lots of nightlife and local places with amazing seafood. Despite our issues with housekeeping, we'd stay here again in a heartbeat. read more

Well not a good start - was excited to find a newer hotel with water views but did not have a great experience - but this is becoming common at Marriott since I hit their Ambassador level ( app nights a year minimum and $20k annual spend ) Booked a 2 bed Bay View suite - and yes I got that only I was not sure the last occupants had left. Lovely large room BUT I kept hearing the dishwasher beeping and found it FULL of DIRTY dishes - completely full. Every counter was filthy and full of handprints or some kind of substance - both bathroom and kitchen. The microwave and fridge were covered in fingerprints and the fridge contained onion peel and shelves covered in some kind of liquid. I was switched rooms to a smaller non suite room - Ambassador' level is supposed to be upgraded where available but I was downgraded and next room was open when I arrived and being cleaned as I entered . Cleaners were working on rooms after 6 and bashing doors all evening.Went to make coffee and found used damp coffee packs in machine. Property seems nice, new and modern and it's close to the ocean. Nothing else good about the area - it's run down, homeless people staggering around in car park, nothing great nearby. read more

My friend and I went to Corpus Christi last weekend And suggested Residence Inn because it was new and located in Downtown. We were going to a fundraiser event at the Lexington and wanted to be able to commute via Uber easily. This hotel was in the perfect location and everything was great. The rooms were clean, spacious, and ready when we arrived. The staff were all very helpful and courteous. I was shocked to see the stove and dishes provided in the room, too bad I didn't utilize these amenities. I loved the size of the shower and overall had a great experience. We walked past the pool which looked beautiful and we did wake up Sunday and use the gym on site. They had treadmills, free weights, medicine balls and cleaning supplies. Towels were plentiful and it was a good gym for your basic workouts. When returning to Corpus, I will definitely stay here again. They also provided a complementary breakfast however I didn't take advantage of it because I had brunch plans. read more

I loved my stay here, it was well kept I had great parking, location is ideal for tourists or those in the area looking for a little getaway, the pool was awesome too. This hotel is a pretty solid experience, although it could be better - so four stars. We spent 8 nights here around Christmas time. First, it's a new and clean property, and the staff are friendly. These two things really make the whole experience so much better. The beds, linens, furniture, room appliances, etc were all top notch and I felt very comfortable in my room. And it's on the beach! Notably - the price for a large suite with kitchenette here was comparable to other hotels which are much older/not as nice. Downside: there were several requests for service that we placed both via the iOS app and directly with the front desk that required multiple followups to ensure they happened - that's always frustrating. Breakfast also got pretty chaotic a few times and it was difficult to get a full plate because they were always out of at least one hot food item at any given time - also frustrating. We also did laundry here once during our trip and two of four laundry machines were broken (at a brand new property). Overall - I'd stay here again read more

I enjoyed this place. I stayed here during its first or second opening week and the staff were so welcoming. Daily happy hour for patrons was amazing. Lo was the bartender during my stay and she really engaged everyone that came by. Zach, the manager, was really nice as well. Dec 2020: Just spent my very first vacation in Corpus Cristi, a long birthday weekend at this hotel. Couldn't have been any better. Even with all the covid restrictions in place, the hotel was warm and welcoming. I didn't like the first room we were given as one window was blocked by the roof of the entrance way. They moved us to the same room on an upper floor and we were thrilled. Great view of the water. Just what I wanted. Wish I could remember their names, so I could acknowledge them personally, but the front desk clerk and one of the house keepers we saw every day, made us feel like it was their personal pleasure to make sure we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Booked a 2 night stay over spring break weekend with the family. Location is really convenient. My husband experienced attitude upon trying to checkin. We arrived early and didn't expect the room to be ready but as gold elite Marriott members sometimes we are able to checkin early. The room was large and clean other than the shower which had a ton of hair in it. The rollAway that we requested never did arrive. Upon using the showing the next morning we stood in about an inch and a half of water. They did fix it while we were out but the shower still looked gross. The soaps were not replenished in the room for the second day. The breakfast was good. The bar was nice, friendly bartender Mike. Our kids enjoyed the pool. OverAll it would depend on the price if I would stay here again. For $100 ish a night yes but not for $200 plus a night. read more

I stayed here this weekend while visiting friends and picked this hotel the day before we arrived mainly because it had an opening and price was right. WOW... I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised! It is an absolutely beautiful hotel that I am assuming is new because everything is so modern and smells so fresh. The decor is gorgeous, rooms are very large with kitchens, lounging space and a huge TV. The shower... my absolute favorite shower of any hotel I've ever stayed! Large with glass, no curtain and plenty of shelves to put all your shower products. The staff are the MOST friendly and welcoming people I have ever met at any hotel BY FAR. I cannot get over how every single person treats you like a friend and speaks warmly while passing you. I really feel as though they are grateful I'm here. I have paid $1,000/night at hotels that didn't make me feel as special as the staff here. Also a great complimentary hot breakfast each morning! Location is fantastic within walking distance of several really fun restaurants and bars and art walk. We really enjoyed our stay recently . We came for a quick summer weekend getaway in June with our two small children . Our room was huge with a nice kitchen (stove, dishwasher and large fridge included ). Since we were traveling in a pandemic I was worried about cleanliness but our room was spotless . I felt very safe . The housekeeping didn't come in the room other than to drop off towels during our stay due to COVID precautions which was understandable . The staff was friendly and helpful . Breakfast in the morning provided in the common area was very limited but that is also understandable due to COVID . We still felt that we had all the essentials - coffee , eggs , milk . You can't beat the location of this hotel . It is within walking distance of the beach and close to a ton of restaurants . Our view from the room was beautiful . We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Corpus ! read more

A special shout out to Mary, the bartender...she is fun, engages with guests, gave wonderful local recommendations, and you can tell she likes her job. You pull up to the residence inn and you can tell it's brand new and has an amazing location next to the beach. It's super nice with a bar a ATM at the market and, a very open breakfast area, and then there are the best rooms. We didn't stay in the nicest room but you walk in and you say wow. The kitchen is super nice (but doesn't have an oven) then the rooms have this really cool swivel TV. The showers are nice and the TVs are up to date. Really good place would recommend to families or anyone to stay. read more

Staff were more than accommodating when we checked into our room and found the refrigerator not working - they quickly assigned us to a new room.
