Aloha Crab is in the corner of the plaza on Palm and Pines, serving up seafood and classic Viet dishes. The space itself is big and clean with a lot of room for both small and large parties. I came here for a birthday with a large party and they were able to accomodate us on a Tuesday night with a reservation. I didn't know that they had more than seafood here which was a nice surprise but came here specifically craving crawfish and was super disappointed when they didn't have any. I know that it was a random weekday night, plus there was a lot of us but it was a bummer for some of the group wanting seafood. As the night went on and a few more people came in, they ran out of most of the seafood in general and the latecomers had to change their order three times because of the things they ran out of. They have a "boiled & bagged" option where you choose seafood, your flavor, spice level and add on any extras like potatoes or corn. Since there was no crawfish, I got shrimp with their Aloha Crab Special Blend (described as tangy, bold and full of flavor) which is similar to special sauce at any seafood spot, with medium spice and added 2 potatoes. When it arrived, it wasn't bagged which is fine but non-traditional to what I'm used to. They gave gloves and had a good portion (1lb as described) but the flavor was just okay in comparison to other spots and the sauce was also very watery. Overall, it was okay but I probably wouldn't order the seafood here again. Other people who got the regular dishes said they were pretty good so I might try those if I visit a next time. This spot also has karaoke which I heard they only do on specific nights but if you know the people who work there, they allow you to karaoke whenever. They pulled out the karaoke for this night but it was mostly just Vietnamese songs which is fine because that was the crowd that was there. Since the change in ownership a few years ago, I just want to say ALOHA new owners. The variety of dishes they have now over compensates the forces of the other previous dishes. However, they did not have crawfish on our visit.. Every food item has a craft that makes the dish very enjoyable. I can say , I'm not really a fan of the seafood boils sauce here, but the other dishes I have been ordering have conquered that disservice. They were also out of other seafood options on the menu. Service can be muted at times but they always come through. You can asked them to sing karaoke and they are very hospitable people. The place is spacious and great for parties. My bf and I ordered for carry out and we were not disappointed! We ordered the fish sauce wings as a starter. They were crispy and the perfect amount of sweet and salty. For our main dishes we ordered the seafood basil fried rice, blood sausage and steamed shrimp in a bag. The fried rice was herby and had a generous amount of seafood. It's hard to see in the picture but there's half a lobster tailed, mussels, clams and shrimp in the mix! We really like the steamed shrimp. I walked in on a rainy Friday for a solo lunch and really enjoyed my experience here. Met Cindy or Nancy? and her husband who own the restaurant. They are super kind and warm people. I got the seafood combo with shrimp and snow crabs, the portion was perfect and the sauce was well seasoned. I had it with a Singha beer and the whole meal ran about $45 with tip. I initially saw the signs for this restaurant during the end of Summer, but couldn't locate on Yelp in Florida. Fast forward during the Holidays I saw it was open with a grand opening sign. I had not been in the area for awhile and the owner let me know they had been opened for 3 weeks at the time. I got a to go menu and she also gave me a coupon. Fast forward a week or so and I decided to go try it today. In the location that are in, it may be slow due to not too many people knowing it is there next to Monkey Joe's on Pines Blvd. I decided to get the Shrimp Pad Thai to go and used the coupon to try the egg rolls. I got there around their lunch time from 11am to 3pm. After making a stop and getting home it hit the spot. The owner had asked if I wanted to add any spice and I decided on medium spice. It was perfect as I love spicy foods or a good kick. This gave that to me. The egg rolls were also delicious and the sauce they came with was the best. I love having a little sweet and tangy on my egg roll and this cause gave that to me indeed. I definitely suggest everyone getting out to try this place because it is worth it. we just did our baby boy's birthday party here. It was more than a restaurant. I reserved for a party table and they allow us to have our own cake table set up with our own designs that we can bring from home. They even allowed us to pick our own music. We were amazed how it turned out. They also welcome us to do karaoke and would turn on music and the stage lights for us if we wanted to. The food was great and everyone was amazing. This place was not it at all, whatsoever!! We had a taste for seafood and saw reviews of recommendations. However, my partner has a different hunch when we got there and he went for the shrimp pad Thai. The shrimp were spoiled unfortunately although he said the pad thai itself was good. First time visiting. We went to Aloha Crab on a Saturday evening to scratch some Seafood Boil cravings. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we got there. There was a couple outside waiting for a takeaway order. The waiter/greeter got us seated right away on a table with white paper covering. They had marked all tables in use with the white paper. The seating capacity has been reduced and seats are well distanced. My first Impression Man they server a lot things, huge menu. From Dumplings, to Thai curries, to Vietnamese Pho to Taiwanese Hot Pot to Cajun seafood Boils and a lot of this in-between. We ordered Steamed Dumplings, Egg Roll, Pad Thai Chicken (Spicy 5/5) and 1 lbs Headless Shrimp Boil with X-Spicy(Can't Feel my Mouth) spice level. Added Thai Donuts later to help stop the Burn. The appetizers were pretty good, but they are pretty hard to screw up anyways. I would give Pad Thai 4 out of 5, Shrimp Boil was definitely one of the best I have ever had 5/5. But hey that spice Level Can't feel my Mouth, should be renamed to include the overnight and next morning burn. But we loved it. Service was courteous, quick and on-point. Came back the 2nd time today and I can really say this place is going to be amazing . The owner came out and introduced himself . Very nice and humble guy . I can tell he's a hard worker and really cares for his business. My parents came and they like this place a lot too and it takes a lot for them to go to a restaurant and enjoy it. "Typical Asian parents" but so glad I can take them here .... Servers need to step it up a little bit, they're not as attentive . You gotta wave them down .... hopefully they work on that . I don't even know where to start. This place totally exceeded my expectations!! Firstly the service was A1. Very nice servers and even a manager came out to see how everyone was enjoying their meals. I went kinda overboard and ordered the VIP3 which is 2 clusters of snow crab and 1lb of shrimp and 1lb of muscles. I literally died when I saw the size of the muscles. So big and juicy!! I could see myself going back and just ordering a giant bag of green muscles. The snow crab were big and cooked perfectly. The flavor of the sausage was smoky and sweet and just downright delicious. I ordered the aloha sauce and 10/10 recommend!!! It's like a million garlic cloves exploded into buttery goodness and if I had to choose a death row last meal, this would be it. Saw the menu of this place and it's right around the corner from my house so we thought let's try it out. Great atmosphere!! I think this location used to be some late-night Jamaican spot from my youth lol! (Maybe about 10-15 years ago) and now it's a cute hangout spot for seafood in the area. Can see us coming here to grab a drink or meet up with large groups- it's very big inside surprisingly! We desperately need a place like this nearby that's family-friendly, yet still relevant. Speed of service is the only reason I gave a 4 out of 5. Food was pretty good, but you can tell the owners may he new at service in regards to a restaurant setting. Our server was extremely nice and the greeter asked about the food and any suggestions for the chef- very appreciated!!! But we waited a while for our food and our calamari came out after our food. I thought the food was going to take long since they were prepping for a big party , but it didn't take as long as I was expecting. Love this place, one of my family's favorite place to get together for dinners and special event. They are very accommodating for large parties and we love their karaoke system. Food is excellent. A hidden gem! Was going to Submarine Crab, but with only a few tables in there, it was a hour wait. So, hit up Aloha to try and mind you I lived in SoCal where Boiling Crab and Kickin Crab is what I was used to. Well, was I wrong - got the combo; snow crab, shrimp in garlic butter and live craw fish with the whole Shabang (all sauces mix together). As for the service, the staff did the best they can! They did come check on us and apologize for the food for taking a bit long. With the pandemic, it is hard to predict if this spring break would really caused a lot of people being out...well looks like it did and I can't blame the businesses for not having enough staff as it is hard after a year of slow business traffic. The place was empty and if they had a half off wine and beer accompanied with half off raw oysters, people would fill this place like a can of sardines. I liked the crunchy texture but confirm that I am not a fan of calamari. I had the Panang Curry with chicken. My companion and I had the seafood bags that had crab (I had Snow and he had Dungeness), sausage, potatoes and corn cob, plus your choice of additional protein. We both chose shrimp. I hesitantly bit into the corn, only to be delighted to find it was cooked perfectly-not soggy at all! Everything was delicious and a lot of food for $25. I used to love Aloha Crab when they just opened. The crab was fresh and the sauces tasty. Of late they have gotten lazy. The sauce is sub-par and the shrimp and crab is very stale.
