The food was phenomenal as well. We started with hummus that was served with a nice amount of pita bread. It was rich and creamy and balanced nicely with the olive oil drizzled in the center. I ordered the Mojito, which was delicious and refreshing on a hot Florida day. As my main dish, I ordered the beef platter with my sides of Greek salad and Angel rice. Came here during Father's Day & had a pretty decent meal. Everything was fresh & delicious. It was my husband's first time & he was also pretty satisfied with the meal. Only hiccups were that even with reservations we had a wait (& it was a hot day outside) of about 20 mins. Our waiter took our order & then we never saw him again until the bill was ready to be paid (thankful for his accommodating coworkers who brought the food, filled our water glasses & provided us with the extra pita order even though it was too late). Sadly the extra charges for the garlic sauce & tzatziki that didn't arrive with the fries was unfortunate but we didn't fight it. Wasn't worth the hassle. We had our food brought by another person, and a female server helped when we asked for dessert. A helper, who was clearing the tables, brought us lemons, water, and ice after we asked for the items on two separate occasions. Give that young man, James, a raise. (Though I was told it was his first day.) Now to the food. We had the grape leaves, which was served warm (good). It had lots of rice but barely any sprinkling of meat, and we had to ask for some lemons to add the juice to the appetizer. For lunch we had the gyro sandwich and the gyro platter. Both came with a Greek salad. The platter also came with rice. Hubby prefers his gyro meat cut thinner on his sandwich. But it had the same thickness as the meat on my platter. Either way, it was flavorful and incredibly moist. My lunch platter was large enough to serve for my lunch and dinner. But that's probably because we did have an appetizer and couldn't resist sharing a slice of pistachio ricotta for dessert. (Hubby had no problem finishing his entire sandwich at lunch.) I had such high hopes. I picked this place based on Yelp reviews. I ordered the Sufrat Dips Sampler which consisted of Muhammara, Hummus, Baba Ghanouge, and Labneh. I enjoyed the Muhammara and Baba Ghanouge. The Muhammara was slightly sweet, but flavorful. And I enjoyed the smokey flavor of the Baba Ghanouge. The hummus was not bad, but I've had better at other spots. Labneh is basically Greek yogurt. I make Greek yogurt at home. I could've picked something else. But it's OK. Overall, that appetizer was fine. I also ordered the Falafel Bowl from the lunch menu with rice and salad. The falafel was such a disappointment. It had none of the flavor that I'm accustomed to from falafels. I combined them with the dips to try to make them taste better. It didn't help much. I forced myself to get through that meal and still didn't finish it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had outdoor seats, so I didn't get to see inside the restaurant. The belly dancer show is usually on Thursdays and Saturdays. Cozy, warm and welcoming restaurant with a Middle Eastern touch. Lovely elegant hanging ceiling lamps and earth/wood vibes through out the restaurant. Beautiful tile work on the walls for a nice focal point. Really inviting atmosphere. The food was great. For appetizers we had the sampler platter with falafel, kibbeh croquettes, hummus, stuffed grape leaves and baba ghanauge roasted egg plant dip with pita bread was so delicious. The lamb chops were incredibly flavorful and tender. The veggies were equally tasty and so was the rice. Perfect dish for an excellent dinner! This spot is a bit small but I hear the one in Doral is more spacious and al fresco patio is nicer. Despite being a smaller spot, I noticed they were hosting a large group for a birthday celebration. We got the hummus. It was absolutely delicious was so creamy and had a nice olive oil pool on top of it with flatbread. Next, we tried the grape leaves vegetarian style one and they were so creamy inside. I love them. I think they're one of the best I've had in a while. We also got the falafel very very good. Definitely recommend it. And then entrée my husband got a nice Mediterranean salad. He loved it had so much toppings on top, including feta cheese, olives, and assortment of vegetables. I got the chicken. Shawarma was so good so flavorful. Had a nice little crispiness in the corners of the chicken really seasoned well and juicy. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and tender, and the angel rice paired with it so well. The Greek salad was fresh and crisp with just the right amount of dressing. Ordered takeout for dinner after an event I attended next door. Some friends recommended the beef shawarma, baba ghanouge, and hummus so that's what I ordered. Hostess taking my order said it would be 5mins, took about 15. Inside was packed. They have live entertainment I got to glimpse while awaiting my order outside. That was fun. But, very loud. Order did not come with plastic utensils. I suppose this is traditionally eaten by scooping the dips up with the pita. Which is what I did! The hummus was nothing to write home about. But, the baba ghanouge was out of this world. I've never tasted anything like it before. I will say I thought they gave me the wrong order at first because I know eggplant to look differently. Lol. I'm assuming it was a mistake, but hey, that's a pleasant surprise. We stuck to appetizers and most were pretty good. The pita were really good. We found the Greek salad to be wilted, as though it had been dressed earlier. The labneh was "missing something," it felt more like it was Greek yogurt.
