I made lunch reservations at El Embarcadero for a going-away lunch for a good friend after hearing so many wonderful things about it, and I'm really glad we went. We started by sharing the scallops as an appetizer, and they were absolutely delicious--one of my favorite parts of the meal. They were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I wasn't really hungry, so I ordered the leche de tigre and it was incredibly satisfying--fresh, juicy, bright, lemony, and full of citrus flavor. I especially loved that fresh lime taste; it made the dish feel so vibrant. My friends ordered a few different entrées, and I got to try a little bit of everything. Everything looked amazing, but I especially loved the shrimp risotto. For dessert, the maracuyá cheesecake was completely out of this world--so divine. It paired perfectly with an Americano coffee and was the perfect way to end the meal. The one disappointment for me was the sangria. We all shared some, and unfortunately it tasted watered down, more like diluted wine than a true house-made sangria. I was really hoping for something fresher and more flavorful. Overall, I had a lovely experience. The food and dessert were definitely the highlights, and I would absolutely come back. Also, very flavorful and well mixed cocktails. We had the Ebi Kariuzame, the chicken yakitori and the conchas brasa. I can't decide which one was better LOL all sooo good! For cocktails the pisco maracuya was my drink and I couldn't stop at one. Always wanted to try this Japanese-Peruvian restaurant and finally got the chance. It was worth the wait. Food was really good and fresh. I'm a big fan of ceviche so I got the trIo. Excellent. Then I got a risotto with a skirt steak on a bath of semigloss. My dinner mate ordered a flavorful stir fry that came with rice and tri colored fried potatoes . Came for the social hour, and left very impressed! The drinks menu is fairly priced, with beers $5 and sangria and wine priced at $6. The food was delicious! What stood out to me was the conchas brasas (grilled scallops cooked in citrus butter) - they're so buttery and soft, this is a must get! The other dishes were also very well seasoned, they pair well with a drink and catching up with friends. Service was attentive and fast, and we sat outside for a nice balmy evening. This Embarcadero 41 location is in the Pembroke Pines plaza by Pines Blvd and Palm. I LOVE their social hour which goes from 4-7pm but recently dined and ordered off their regular menu. We ended up getting the Sapporo kai Roll and the tequenos de lomo saltado. These two weren't my favorite dishes but were pretty good overall. The tequenos were more like an eggroll than a tequeno and I realized I like lomo saltado the classic way versus in a fusion dish. My favorite off the social hour menu is the conchas brasa. They're pretty expensive when not on the social hour menu so definitely give it a try if you're there when it's that time. The staff is friendly and the inside is beautiful. Piero is a fantastic server! I was here a few months ago for an event. I had to bite the bullet because ceviche was served and I couldn't be rude. Much to my surprise, I love ceviche! We got the trio and had enough to take some home. Max got the Pork Belly bowl and it came out piping hot. My dish was room temperature. Piero said he would take it back, but I was almost full and there was no point. Both of us requested takeout boxes. I'm a dessert girl and had to get the Quinoa Creme Brulee. Embarcadero 41 is a popular Peruvian Nikkei fusion style restaurant specializing in ceviche and sushi rolls and other tasty dishes. I met a friend who was visiting from out of time and we split several excellent dishes. One dish had thin strips of fish and octopus (pulpo) with crispy salmon skins in a delicious sauteed broth. We also shared several sushi rolls with salmon and shrimp. We finished off with scallops presented in their shells. Browsing through their menu will give you a nice idea of what they serve, but that's not everything they have. There are plenty of new creations that we discovered that aren't on the online menu. I'm aware that my food descriptions are vague. I was more in dining mode than reporter and the online menu doesn't tell nearly the whole story. read more

Wanted a sweet treat so I ordered the cheesecake on my visit at Embarcadero 41. I was unaware it had passion fruit sauce on top of it. It was wickedly sweet. Way too sweet. It almost ruined the cheesecake for me. Luckily I was able to scrape it off. The cheesecake was saved and it was delicious. Now the passion fruit sauce was good. It was just crazy sweet. They could just put a small drizzle of it on the cheesecake and it would be a perfect addition. For me it was a bit too much. I'd love to return and try their chocolate cake!! I, also, had my eye on that. I couldn't decide so I asked the server and he said I should go with the cheesecake. Service was perfect. Zero complaints there. All the staff were amazing. Second time here first time was ok. The food was great but the service not so much. Figured I'd go again and try more of their food even though the service was sub par. It was busy that day so I told myself to chill. Today I get there I notice it's a lot less busy compared to the previous visit so service should be better or so I thought. They sat me down at the bar full of to go orders but whatever I sat. A few minutes go by no greeting but the servers are just standing around. I'm looking and they notice me looking yet don't proceed. After 10 minutes I decide to walk out and told the hostess I'm leaving. Won't be going back which is unfortunate because the food is good the vibe is nice but the service is terrible. Yes I was alone but I always tip well I mean always like 20-30% because I get it I'm alone! Very disappointing I promise you I won't be back. If it's busy I get it take 10-15 minutes I'll wait but when it's slow servers should be eager to attain the business and earn the tip. I'm always a fan of every Embarcadero. I'm so happy that they keep expanding locations. This was my first visit to their Pembroke Pines location for a last minute girls dinner after a workout with a Peruvian food craving. Everything was so yummy. I got the traditional fish ceviche with the fish of the house (swai) and added extra spicy onto it - I swear they have some addicting element to these ceviches as I can never get enough. My girl friends also enjoyed the tallarin verde ( pesto fettuccine pasta ) with lomo saltado. The meat was very tender and the pesto sauce so yummy. The service was top tier during our visit. Took my girlfriend to a weekday lunch to celebrate her birthday. It had been on my list to try for a while. They had a pretty good crowd for a weekday! They offer inside and covered outside seating. We sat inside since I had the baby with me! We each started with a drink , I had ordered the traditional sangria and I was brought the white sangria. Instead of just swapping it for what I wanted , he guilted me into trying the white and made me feel bad. I ended up keeping the white sangria which wasn't what I wanted or really what I liked. We ordered two sushi rolls and the trio lunch special that had seafood rice, calamari and ceviche. All the food was excellent. The drinks were okay, I probably wouldn't drink next time I went. I rarely ever write reviews, but I feel compelled to after this experience because I'm genuinely shocked and disappointed. I placed an order for delivery, and what I received was completely unacceptable. The meat was practically raw--red and bloody in the center--as if it had just been seared on the outside and sent out without being cooked properly. Thankfully, I was home and able to cook it myself, but that's not what anyone expects when ordering from a restaurant. The worst part is I actually ate a piece before realizing how raw it was, and I can still feel it lodged in my throat--it made me nauseous and disgusted. I still feel sick thinking about it. To make matters worse, the risotto arrived cold, and the yucas a la huancaína were undercooked--I had to finish them in the air fryer just to make them edible. I honestly should have listened to the other one-star reviews because they were absolutely right. Overall, this was a terrible experience. I won't be ordering from this restaurant again, and I'd strongly caution others to think twice before doing so, especially for delivery orders. read more

I wasn't too sure about this place because I don't really like Peruvian fusion places (I like the traditional dishes, thank you very much), but I decided to check it out anyway and I'm so glad I did! Rather than going with my usual Lomo Saltado or Causa, I went with Anticuchos de Lomo Fino, which was so good! The beef tenderloin was perfectly cooked at the temperature I wanted. The Peruvian Crispy Corn was tasty and the yellow potato was well seasoned. Everything about this dish was delicious! I can't speak for the other dishes at the table since I didn't try them, but it did look good! While this place was super busy the staff did their best to try to seat us right away. We wanted an indoor table, but did not want to sit at the bar, so we ended up sitting outside within a few minutes one of the staff members informed us of an available table indoor. The inside is nice, very relaxing. Overall the experience was great, I enjoyed this place and can't wait to try the rest of the menu the next time I'm visiting. read more

But I wasnt a fan of the poke tacos, they came out as a full order and I didn't want to start eating something I didn't order or want to pay for and glad I didn't. So glad I finally got to try this spot for lunch. As someone limited from raw food at the moment, having such a large "cooked" sushi selection was a nice way to indulge that craving. Had the maki parillero roll, and tried a bite of my friend's steak roll, both were flavorful, and had cool Peruvian fusion elements. Also had the yuca fries, and octopus appetizer. Looking through the windows looks inviting. The place looks very clean( it is a fairly new restaurant location). All staff I encountered smiled and said hello. I ordered for pick up on a Saturday 7:30 pm and it was ready to pick up 8:10pm. Pricing was above normal for a dinner plate( but taste explains why). They have a very extensive menu selection. I have driven by this place countless times to see a line half a block long outside this location! I googled and thought "hmm, a little pricey". But after going back several times and seeing great reviews, had to investigate. Arrived at 5:30 pm with a friend. We were the only people there, but in fairness it was early on a Monday. Filled up rapidly around 6:30-7. The food is deliciosa! The ambience cozy and clean. So, I will explain why the 4 stars.The staff were kind and welcoming. The gentleman who seated us, however, was not able to answer our questions. We were given the drink menu and each ordered a glass of wine. My friend asked if there was a happy hour. We were told there was not. Everything on the menu looked so good, we needed some help choosing. The gentleman was telling me there was octopus in the dish I was considering while the menu clearly described it as a creamy rice dish with shrimp and calamari. I don't care for octopus. Then a young lady came over and clarified that the dish did not contain octopus and proceeded to explain this to her co-worker. My friend then asked her about happy hour. She said she would find out but we never got an answer. As I said, they were very nice and food was so good we will definitely go back. Epilogue: Went onto the website and checked out the info there. They do,indeed, have a happy hour Monday through Friday from 4-7 with beer, wine and cocktails for a discounted price with some smaller bites. It was just a little disappointing that the staff wasn't aware of this this. If not for this little snafu, it would have been an easy 5 stars! read more

Came in for a late dinner with my friend for the first time. We came in on a weekday evening and the restaurant seemed a little bit busy. It is not a huge location so sitting is very limited. To start we had the Pulpo at Olivo which was absolutely delicious and I definitely would recommend. We had two red sangrias to par, which they took very long to arrive. Now I'm not sure if it's a culture thing, but while I spoke to the server in English it seemed like he was a bit dismissive and didn't care much for our table however, when I switch to Spanish, he became way more attentive and seems to care more, but that was just my perspective. No, for starters I had the Maki patrullero roll which was absolutely delicious. Everything in my plate tasted super fresh. My fridge had the seafood rompe Chaufa and once more it was absolutely delicious and super flavorful. I would recommend both dishes. Took my dad to try Peruvian food for the first time! We both got lomo saltado but I opted to try it with the pesto. The lomo saltado was very flavorful, though a bit salty. The pasta was very rich and was an interesting complement to the lomo but still very good. I personally would just go for the classic next time with fries and rice. This was an incredible find! For over a year, I have been wanting to dine at Embarcadero in Sunrise at the plaza next to IKEA. It's always packed and well...time is of the essence. So this past Saturday night, we stumbled upon this new one that opened just a couple of months ago in east Pembroke Pines. We feasted on various plates that we intentionally ordered for sharing. Each bite was just as delicious, if not better than the previous one! We shared rolls, causa, arroz con mariscos, and Tacu Tacu! The service by Diego was superb! With a genuine smile and joyous demeanor, he served us well and made expert recommendations that we were so pleased with! The mood was friendly; and good for families and groups too. In fact, if you want to have a work lunch, whether alone or with a business partner, they're set up with a counter on the other side of the bar that's just perfect for your laptop.
