Early afternoon and the place was not busy at all. The music was fitting and ambiance was fairly elegant and inviting. The food options were really good, but when we ordered the donuts for dessert they came with both condensed milk and chocolate syrup running across the entire dish instead of one the side for selection- the menu didn't detail what came with.... Ughhhh. It has to have been just the day. I made my way to the bar for a date for one and to see the boats and yeahhhh no. When I feeling mustard up to order off the menu it took longer than expected but because the restaurant was pretty full in the dining side. I had a sushi roll that was super mediocre and took the rest home to not send back. I was not impressed and unfortunately some of these restaurants because of high capacity lack a little more of the intimate vibes I was probably looking for. I had a great experience at Blue Ginger, I stopped by on a weekend and are by myself at the bar. The habachi areas were pretty busy, but the bartender was very attentive and friendly. I ordered a roll (can't remember the name, but it had cilantro, jalapeños and raw salmon) and shrimp lo mein. The sushi was good, but had a little too much cilantro and jalapeños for me. The lo mein was delicious and it was a larger portion. I are some there and to the rest home. This was a delicious, tasty and satisfying meal! read more

I said I'd try to come back for the hibachi, and I did. And I'm adding two stars because it was definitely a five star experience!! Came here for my niece's birthday because she special requested it. In her words, "it may be expensive, but it's worth ittttt" and she was right. I think their prices here are pretty comparable to other spots but their menu is super extensive for hibachi with many different protein choices and combos. The hibachi comes with a choice of soup or salad and chicken fried rice. We originally tried to go to Benihana's because it was super close to my house but it was a two hour wait because it's graduation season. This was a blessing in disguise because this was the next closest spot. After a quick call to see how long the wait wait, they reserved a table for 8 right away and it was ready as soon as we got there! The staff that answered the phone call and were readily helpful when we arrived. The hibachi took a bit to start but our server was attentive and very helpful. Chef Willy was the one who took care of us and was super entertaining and nice. He made sure to make the birthday girl feel extra special and made sure to pay attention to my mom's shellfish allergies. As for the hibachi, I haven't had this experience in a while and it was such a great one! The food was really good and it was the best yum yum sauce I've had in South Florida. I'll be craving it until my next visit for a special occasion. Definitely recommend this Blue Ginger for hibachi! read more

Was dining solo and went in to sit at the bar @6pm on a Thursday. Was told that bar was closed. I then went to take a table and was advised they have no liquor. Odd as the sign on the front door advertised happy hour. No explanation was given but I didn't stick around. Can't review the food but suggest you call ahead if you're planning on the bar and drinks. Visited this establishment this week while traveling for work meetings. Staff was very friendly, and attentive. Food was delicious, and very flavorful. We sat at the hibachi table. We stopped by last night to get something light. The kitchen was closing so we ordered some soup and seaweed salad. The service was welcoming and friendly, just as I remembered it. And, the food was so delicious. To my surprise, they added a few thin slices of cucumber to the seaweed salad which was amazing. I decided to give this place a try again after it was shut down about 4 years ago for roaches and mold. I saw this restaurant getting built and it was beautiful but their hay days are over. The landscape needs to be upgraded, the entrance door needs attention, the foyer has signs of water damage. Some walls are peeling. The ladies bathroom was dirty. I invited a couple who had never been here to dinner and raved anout the place. We were seated right away (not busy for a Saturday evening) and our server, Andrea, came to greet us. She was friendly but slow. The food was very good, no complaints there. But the service was just bad. One of the dinners, teriyaki chicken and white, arrived when we were almost done eating our hibachi and we had to ask three times where was that meal. We waited to order dessert and it took our server forever to show up. They were out of two of the like six desserts. Ordered Thai donuts and they did not taste fresh. Giving them 3 starts because of the food. I will never go there or recommend this place to anyone. read more

Haven't been here in yearsssss and I was craving some fried rice with yum yum sauce. You guys should update your hours of operation on google and yelp and not just post a sign on your window. I called at 3pm no answer, called at 4pm no answer and then I decided let me drive up there since it's 2 minutes away from my job only to see a sign y'all don't open til 4:30pm lol. Wow was I blown away with Blue Ginger. We had the hibachi which is just like Beni Hanna's but 1000 percent better. We ordered the steak and shrimp and steak and chicken. The miso soup and salad prior to the hibachi. The chef told us he worked at Beni Hanna's for 6 years. He was excellent. Could not believe the portions of fried rice so much , nobody finished the rice. The shrimp, chicken and steak was fresh and plentiful. The food was amazing and the service impeccable. We could only finish half of our orders. The establishment is fresh and clean. They have a big bar with tvs. Again this place was outstanding and we can't wait to come back. This is my first time here. It looks and smells like a typical hibachi. We usually go to Japan Inn but we were in the area. Service was slow. All food is served in styrofoam and plastic utensils. I started with the California tuna roll and ordered the curry. They served the salad . It was room temperature and mayo based. I looked around and saw a large bun storing the salads that we were eating. Not refrigerated. I hope we don't get salmonella! My curry was not the typical Thai but nor of the India version. What an experience?! I came here after a friend recommended it to me. I arrived around 12:15pm on a Saturday. I was seated immediately. The service was ok. However, our cook Gulih was awesome. He's super friendly, funny and energetic. He cooked the food so well! This restaurant has a very similar experience/menu to Benihana, however it tastes completely different. As time went by it began to get more crowded, as expected, but not overwhelmingly crowded. Definitely would recommend coming in early. read more

Where do I begin? We probably should have left when we first got there. The smell of old grease is your first greeting. The service was horribly slow. Two employees were arguing in the middle of the dining room which was super annoying and awkward. We ordered two soups, garlic edamame, sunomono salad and egg rolls. The last thing to come out was salad and the edamame (about 30 minutes after we ordered). The best thing was the soup. You couldn't tell what was in the salad. The edamame was either old or frozen and seriously overcooked. It was mush in your mouth. I've had better frozen egg rolls at home. As I write this review (30 minutes later) my stomach is already rolling. Do your self and your stomach a favor and find an authentic Japanese restaurant... there are some great ones nearby. read more

Came here for lunch with my boyfriend for his birthday. With just the 2 of us they were able to sit us at a hibachi table with another small group. Service: The service was good. We had a woman take our orders, bring our drinks, soup and salads. The soup was very good. I drank 2 instead of getting the ginger salad. The hibachi chef then came out and started the show. He was very nice. Sang Happy Birthday to my boyfriend, gave him some extra shrimp and for cool things over the grill. I loved when he made the I love you and the heart beat. Food: I had the shrimp and salmon with fried rice and veggies (zucchini, cabbage, carrots, mushrooms & onions) all topped with Yum Yum sauce (pretty sure that's not how to say it, but hey it's Yummy!). We've been dining at Blue Ginger for a few years consistently now. We called a few weeks ago early Saturday afternoon to make a same day reservation for a party of 2 for hibachi and we were told they were booked on reservations but we could show up at 8 pm and probably wouldn't have a wait for our small party. We showed up and were told it was a two hour wait, we told the man no thanks (think he was the manager or owner, we've seen him a lot in the past) and he rolled his eyes and stormed off. I tried calling again today (on a Friday) to make a reservation for Saturday night and the female employee told me they can't make reservations for parties smaller than 10 due to a policy change they had at the restaurant. I don't recommend dining here due to their lack of service (which it's a shame because I really like this restaurant and we like their food and service once you get there). read more

The service was good up until we received our main course but our server had forgotten to bring the clear soup and the salad that accompanies our hibachi meal. But it was ok. The food was great, nothing out of thus world. Similar to samurai and other hibachi restaurants. The decor was nice although the lighting over the tables was a bit much for us when trying to look at the menu. I loved the ginger salad dressing, it's always my favorite at every hibachi restaurant. Overall the meal was good the service was good and the ambiance was good.
