They make the class fun with singing, games, and toys so that students get used to the environment and feel comfortable with each other. But it doesn't stop there; they also incorporate one to two skills per class, and my daughter has a lot of fun (which to us was the most important part). The swim classes run for 30 minutes each session, and that is a good amount of time for a 3-year-old's attention span. Prices are also pretty fair; $65 for 2 weeks (for residents), and they run Monday through Friday for a group class. The class had 7 kids with 2 swim instructors, and I was glad to see them co-teach. Parents and family members can sit on the shaded area and watch their kids learn how to swim. They also have multiple life guards watching the area so we feel pretty safe with the kids in the pool. I also see other higher level classes going on as well as the private one-on-one swim lessons. I only wish I knew about the registration times earlier on so I can sign up for multiple sessions in the summer. Registrations begin as early as May and I didn't sign up until July. Now I know for next year! Definitely coming back again.

I'm a regular swimmer and it never happened to me before except some mild eye Irritationfrom chlorine. I'm pretty sure that they don't sanitize that pool or maintain it and just put chlorine which combines to sweat, urine and bacteria and creates further toxic compounds for the eyes, nose and skin. I dare that pool administration if there were any to take a sample from that pool and send it to lab. The pool is crowded and full of kids with swimming lessons and there is barely enough space to swim. If u have to go to that pool then u must wear swimming goggles to protect your eyes from the various toxic products that result from the insufficient cleaning and maintaining of the pool. Use a nose clipper if u had sensitive nose to protect the nasal mucosal. The pool is open to public and admission entry fee is for $2 and summer season for $20 for individual. Don't sign up for the whole season unless you tried it once and see if you will go the whole summer. I think that's why it's a dirty one cause the subscription is so cheap so they wouldn't really care.

I come here frequently to either play pickle ball with the Yucaipa Pickleball club, take my son to the playground, and even for a date picnic with my wife. The park is well-maintained and the city has invested a lot of money and time into keeping the Park updated and continually making changes based off of the needs and requests of the community. I absolutely recommend bringing your family here for some safe, fun and activities!

There have been a few changes in the past few years here. The dog park is closed but it is my understanding that the city will be reopening it again over by the gazebo area. The skatepark is closed and the covered courts area has been expanded to where the skatepark used to be. Yucaipa's main skatepark is over next to the high school off of 13th street. The new covered area is now home to 4 permanent pickleball courts which makes for an amazing space for youth who may not have their own nets yet and for anyone to come play in the shade. Yucaipa Pickleball Club reserves these courts for club play through the city. Club hours are generally in the mornings and the 4th Saturday of the month. Specific club hours can be found on their website www.yucaipapickleball.com
