We had to use this company as it was assigned to us for a government move. Initially, all seemed well until we started unpacking and realized that they had unassembled several things (some completely unnecessarily), and did not keep the parts with the units. Pieces and parts were found in various places that made us look through every box to piece together our items. It took me weeks to put together my computer monitors because the base, the parts, and the screens were all in different boxes. As we started to put things together, we realized that they just ripped things apart. For example, the electrical components of my treadmill were just ripped from the base, I had to pay someone to come out and repair it. Also, wood units had bolts literally broken; these were not difficult to unscrew, but I guess they decided they didn't care and just broke them instead of taking them apart carefully. Now I have things I can't even use. After disassembling all our lamps and placing the pieces in various boxes, they did not carefully pack the lampshades; most of them arrived broken. Some of my lamps are antiques and cannot be replaced. Also, lamp shades are not cheap, and now I have several lamps without shades that I need to replace. Overall, they were lazy, inconsiderate, and left us with several repair/replacement costs and unusable items that could have been avoided. I'm incredibly frustrated and caution anyone who decides to use this company. Would NOT RECOMMEND. read more

Destroyed a certificate for my cat's cremation. There was a general disregard for my items, but the certificate is over the top.

I have mixed feelings about this company. They crew and management were great and friendly. Unfortunately they also put a hole in my wall as they were taking something down the stairs. They were apologetic and made it right. Then when I got to my final location I realized that many of the stickers fell off the boxes (ok no big deal right?), but also realized at the same time what was written on the box wasn't necessarily what was in the box. One thing that was in the closet upstairs might have somehow found its way into a garage box. So when I was unpacking a bedroom box looked for an item I was like where could it be. Then I found it two days later as I was unpacking the garage box. They probably killed a forest with the amount of paper they used but there was hardly any damaged or broken items. Though I found it odd that they packed suits in a regular box and folded them instead of bringing wardrobe boxes the first day to use or wait til they had them on the second day. So needless to say I needed to get them dry cleaned. So I am torn what to think as they were nice and mostly took care of my stuff, but there were also issues....so 3 stars for me. read more

If it were possible to give this company zero stars, I would do so. MILITARY FAMILIES BEWARE! We recently moved from Hawaii to New York through the military. They contracted with a moving agency that contracted with Aloha International. All parties were aware that we would be moving out of a storage unit with boxes and bins that had not been packed for transport. We were not only assured that all boxes would be emptied and items repacked, but told we did not have the option of not doing so. Well, it turns out that did not get communicated to the moving crew. Instead of unpacking and repacking, or even examining the contents, they simply took rolls of paper and wrapped up the boxes in storage. They didn't even take the time to wrap an antique sewing machine, instead leaving it in a WICKER basket. Since they didn't open a thing, they had no knowledge about the contents and marked the manifest with meaningless notations such as "shoes" on a box that contained clothes and books. Furthermore, they failed to adequately wrap our valuables that were not in boxes. We've ended up with tons of broken dishes and, most upsetting, a completely broken rocking chair that was handmade by my husband's late grandfather. If that weren't enough, boxes were stolen. I cannot say that it was this crew or somewhere along the way, but the seal to our crate was completely removed and the other cut in half. Boxes and bins were missing, including the ONLY other heirloom valuables we own - a set of late 1800s books by Charles Dickens that's been in our family for generations. Purses and other valuable goods are missing too and we have no ability to even understand what was all in those boxes since nothing was properly labeled. We have moved Wisconsin to South Carolina, South Carolina to NY, NY to Guam, Guam to NY, NY to Hawaii, and even moved half our belongings with another company from Hawaii to NY and NEVER have we had this horrific of an experience. It's left me teetering between complete devastation and overwhelming anger. If you're a military family, please - ask for another carrier or do a DITY with one that you can vet and trust. Demand to see every box as it's packed and labeled. Don't make our mistake of trusting in what we were told. As of now, the contracting agency is helping us through the process of filing for missing and broken items, but we'll never, ever be able to recover what we've lost. For those asking, we did get reimbursed for a lot, but it was a fight. We requested the antique rocking chair be fixed for $500. They didn't believe us, so they sent out an estimator who put it over $1,000 to do the custom work. I appreciate the replacement value (which we only got because we're military), but I'd much rather have had the actual items arrive unbroken or at all. And nothing came of the police report other than being told they're sure the movers took it at some point during the process, because they've had the complaint before, but not much they can do without video. read more

We just received our home items and are seriously disappointed! When we left Hawaii, items in our garage were left behind entirely after being told they were "still loading the truck" while having us sign. Then when we arrived here and began unpacking, not only were entire reams of paper folded in half and shoved in boxes to add weight for the military to pay them, but things that SHOULD have been wrapped weren't. We asked them not to shove our drawers, canvas totes, and plastic bins full of items so they wouldn't break and they completely ignored us. Pictures and canvases were shoved in boxes unwrapped with hard items so they're nearly all broken and ruined. So disappointing to see how little some people can care about others' belongings. We'll be reporting to the military. read more

So far, I'm very impressed with this company. These guys took great care of our things and spent a lot of time wrapping and loading everything well. Our shipment hasn't arrived yet but I will update this when it does if there are any problems. We're military and have moved a lot...and unfortunately have dealt with some substandard moving companies. That being said, these guys impressed me. Update: Most of our stuff has been unpacked. Some damage but nothing too major. Mainly dings and scratches. Very happy considering it was a 4500 mile move and across the Pacific. I highly recommend this company! read more

Soon after I submitted this review I was contacted by their business manager who apologized for the service I received and said the management team would be alerted and be in touch. I see that has since been deleted. I guess the management team informed her I had already paid in full or something so there was no reason to make good. Another example of this company not having their act together. Oh, and check your bills because it took many emails and then double checking my bill and correcting Shar to get the correct amount reimbursed for the incorrect "long carry" charge. We chose this company because the price was right. This was our first time using a moving company. The sales person was nice, polite and respectable. The crew that came out to pack our stuff were not friendly at all. I watched as they worked. We were told that they would pack it for us. We had containers and thought they'd wrap anything that needed bubble wrap, nope they just wrapped the containers with the layers of packing paper. Our other items were literally just thrown in a box. Once everything was packed up and loaded on the crate. I asked if it it'll be sealed, she inquired with another crew member, I'm not military so they said no. Then he changes his mind and says to seal it. Well that was just to appease me because I didn't even see the crate, it had already been unpacked by the receiving company, BergerAllied. I asked the deliverers why our sealed crate had been unpacked he said it was too large to fit the truck. When they unloaded the first item I saw that it had been repackaged with the delivering company's box. WHY???? He couldn't tell me why the best he could come up with was customs. But all the other boxes weren't touched?!?? Cause for suspicion. My advice is pack it yourself especially if your have fragile items. Have it all be ready to just be boxed and hauled into the crate. September 26, 2018. This is the day 3 guys arrived at 11am. But before we start, let's put out I never got the person who was supposed to come out and physically survey my home but instead, did a telephonic consult which I thought was odd. So on the day of the move, 3 guys show up. What's the very first thing that goes up into the home without asking if I was okay with it or any consideration to anyone else that lives there? A rolling speaker box. Forget any moving equipment, tape, boxes, tools to disassemble furniture, nope... power up the speaker. Ok sure. I start telling the guys what needs to be done and short brief of what needs to happen. Now I noticed one guy with glassy red eyes and an odor of alcohol emitting as I'm instructing him what's what. After 30 minutes into starting to pack, I find the guy sleeping in the truck. The other two who are packing are mocking him. Instead of finding a solution to this issue, we just continue with 2 guys while the other recovers from his over-indulgence from the night prior. Thanks for sending me a drunk guy Aloha. As time goes on I get questioned on my high value items. I was asked how much certain items costed which was only out of small talk and curiosity and when I mentioned how much certain items were, I get mocked and made fun of for how much I paid for certain items and that I was "ripped off" for Items I "could have paid at Walmart, instead of Inspiration." I wanted to choke slam the sense out of both those two a-holes but this was my stuff I wanted loaded nicely so I had to put on a fake petty b-tch smile and take the higher ground. Some unprofessional uneducated dicks that have never been outside of the west side. Oh and to add, they were supposed to have brought out wardrobe boxes with rods for our clothes. The guy tells me they forgot it and looks at me as if it was a closed case. Hell no. I told him I'll do your job for you and tell me where to go get these things. Guilt trip sets in and he makes a few calls and magically items forgotten have appeared 30 minutes later. Why we gotta play games for? Disassembling of furniture: Ever get a certain type of feeling when you strip a bolt. But then the guy continues to try extracting the bolt making it even more stripped? No common sense with these guys. Their mentality is "screw your feelings and hard earned pride, I'm here to dismantle your stuff and toss it in a crate and let you deal with the problems in the mainland". Thanks a-hole's. So with two guys working it's almost 5pm and it catches them that they want to go home. Now I start to notice stuff just gets tossed in boxes with less care. I question why things are tossed in boxes unwrapped or unorganized and they retry some items. I swear.. Job is completed at 8:00pm when it should have been done before 5 thanks to drunk guy and the unprofessional crew who forgot critical items. Fast forward to when I get my shipment in the mainland: -movers here are appalled of items "packed" thrown in certain things, and unpacked drawers causing damage to the drawers and shelves. They take photos and ready to file the claim at their office. The biggest problem of this whole ordeal is the very first box that was supposed to be packed and listed on the manifest sheet is "parts box". This critical box contains all the parts, nuts, bolts to all my furniture. The bed, dining table, sofa, cabinets, racks, everything that was disassembled. This box was never packed. So I call the aloha office and the best they could do for me is to file a claim. I sit here writing this on the floor of my home with pieces of furniture surrounding me because of careless and unprofessional clowns that came in to "pack" or better yet, just toss it in a box. If you are military and your transportation office sets you up with Aloha, make it mandatory to deny and request a different company to save you the agony and headaches. This is your home, your stuff and your decision. Make a trusted one. If you don't care about your stuff and don't mind it missing and damaged then go for it or better yet, hire Kimo off craigslist or Bruddah Jon dancing around Hotel and Bethel who'll do it for $20. read more

Arrived on 21 September and had my HGG scheduled for delivery on 23 September. They showed up at 0900 and kept going until 1700. They even worked through the rain and made sure to lay down protection on our floors before moving items inside. We recently moved off island (Dec 2020) to the mainland. Our movers arrived about 3 hours late to begin packing us up, which made us late for our final walkthrough. Everything arrived a little over a month later, after sleeping on an air mattress for about 6 wks, we very excited to get our stuff! When the movers came to unload, they were not unpacking everything like what the service called for. They put the big stuff together but kept asking us if we wanted them to put stuff together. It made us feel bad to even say yes. I had to keep asking my boyfriend if that's what we paid for, and he reassured me it is. So that was uncomfortable. (I should note it was only 1 of the movers who kept saying this, the other has an excellent attitude and was fun to be around). Then, upon unpacking we found A LOT of damages. Dining room table legs broken, accent chairs for the living room each had a leg broken, all of my designer hats were crushed, artwork ruined, office desk scratched and the drawer jammed and unable to open, and many more damages. All of this furniture was only 1 year old. So I didn't expect brand new furniture to not withstand a move. Upon reaching out for compensation, I filled out the paperwork and expected an insurance agent to come out and assess the damages. No agent has come or even been notified. Instead they came back to me and offered $350 for all of the damages. I've had to purchase a new dining table and chairs which was $1600, my hats are $185 each, that $350 doesn't seem to even scratch the surface of what occurred. I'm writing a review bc I'm still trying to get some form of compensation for damages incurred. It has been over 2 months. They are still coming back to me in saying they can only offer $350. With nothing to back this up other than that's all they're willing to give. I'm super bummed bc I'd rather just have my stuff in the condition we left it in. Now I have to purchase new stuff and take a major loss. I have to send about 4 emails to even get one response back. All of this to say, I would not use them again. The experience was so bad I would rather have sold all of my stuff and purchased new stuff on the mainland. Be sure to get additional insurance bc what they offer is an absolute joke. read more

My experience with Aloha International Moving company was great from start to finish. We got several in person quotes for weight estimates and theirs was the most accurate. The entire team was super responsive either by email or phone. The pick up team arrived on time and had an excellent Can-do attitude. We had to postpone our delivery date multiple times and they were flexible about it. We've unpacked everything and all of our stuff is in great condition and stayed fairly clean considering how long it was in transit and storage. read more

11/23/15 Update: This emailed Denise (cc: Ron) just to remind them that trash pick up for my neighborhood is for the following day and should be done by 10am. She emailed me back thanking me and telling me to expect a call in the later afternoon. Glen gave me a call later in the afternoon telling me that they should be rolling by for the pick up of our bulk items between 8am-10am. I reminded him about the trash pick up, and said it wouldn't be a problem..... We live in old school, Alewa Heights where the streets are narrow, and Ron knows this. I'll take pictures of the move and movers and do another follow up review. stay tuned... 11/24/25 Update: Ron gave me a courtesy call prior to the movers showing up to make sure they had arrived. He then followed up to see if they were on scheduled time. Which they were. My experience with the movers was terrible.......ly AMAZING. They arrived in the block time they said they would (8-10am). "G", "V", and third unknown. All three movers spoke very little between each other, and worked effectively, and efficiently. It was nothing short of amazing. Since this was my first time hiring movers, I asked G some general questions in which he politely responded too while working. They were not skimpy on the usage of their wrapping paper, tape, etc.... They boxed and marked everything, handled all my belongings with care, nothing was 'shoved' hard into the crate. They masterfully fit the pieces of wrapped furniture and boxes into the crate snugly but utilized every inch of space so more items could fit inside. And myself being pretty great at Tetris, these guys were masters of the stacks. We had a list of items that "must go on" and a list of "if there is room". They took 98% of everything from those list; where as other companies that came over to do an estimate said not all of our "must go on" will make it into the crate. Timeline went down like this: 9:45am showed up; 1030am packed furniture and was out the door; 1045am loaded the crate with the additional "if there is room" items going on board; 11am paperwork completed, crate enclosed, photo op and off they went. The movers themselves was very friendly and focused on the job at hand. A supervisor by the name of Enosa came over to the house, but the movers had left. Eonsa was to physically check in on the operation, but didn't make it during the time. He asked if there was any issue or questions/concerns, which there were none. Minutes later I got a call from Glen at the corporate office asking the same thing. Great customer service on the follow up. As far as I'm concern, the Hawaii staff is grade A. When our items arrive to California, a company there is suppose to deliver our belongings to our door, and even set up any furniture that the Hawaii crew took apart. I understand that probably Aloha International might have to hire movers at our destination. IF there is any issues when our items arrive, a true test will be how Aloha Int will handle the situation now that we will be out of state. I'll give one more final review when our items arrive and set up back together..... 12/15/15 Update: A+++++++ Our shipment is on the way. So far this whole experience with Aloha has been great A+. The company that is handling our furniture is Crown Worldwide Moving and Storage. Be sure to watch for my review about how they handle our belongings and reassemble our furniture. read more

What a great experience from Hawaii to Baltimore. I was honestly expecting something bad to happen but honestly nothing went wrong. Tim was my contact and he was great. Always was available -- I am a bit high maintenance. He even called me back when he was on vacation! Couple surprises did happen - my final weight and costs were lower than the estimate - that's never happen in my many moves and then everything arrived early - right in time for Christmas. The packers were great and careful. Everything was packed from my storage unit and condo. They were respectful and fun guys who worked harder than a lot of people I have seen. And on the mainland side, those movers were great too and unpacked everything and took all the boxes and paper away! Oh and listen to your rep (Tim in my case) - he told me exactly what to expect and how I needed to prepare for the pack. The better I have gotten everything ready, the better the experience will be. *Note* I cannot speak to the quality of the moving service itself, but my negative review comes from my brief, yet meaningful interaction with some of the movers. The neighbor living above me I assume is moving, and hired "Aloha" International to move out their things. While inside my own home, I heard a loud thud, and a smoke detector popped off my ceiling, and onto the floor. I was immediately concerned, as the smoke detector sat less than four feet from a ceiling fan and light that hang over my dining room table. In addition, we rent from a realty company, and after filling out at 11-page-long inventory form, we would REALLY appreciate not having any damage that we didn't cause ourselves befall the unit. I quickly popped my head out of my door to just ask the movers to PLEASE be careful, as a smoke detector just fell off my ceiling. While I was met with apologies from both the owner of the upstairs unit, and one of the movers (M#1), immediately after apologizing, M#1 started making snide remarks and mumbling something along the lines of me coming up to move things myself. When I asked him to repeat himself so I could properly respond, he continued to mumble. So, I proceeded to exit my door to ask him more clearly if he needed something from me. At this point, another mover (M#2), calls out from upstairs that they're sorry, but "things are very heavy". I'm pretty much aware that moving things is hard because "things are very heavy", but I am also under the impression that you hire professionals for that reason. You pay people to move heavy things so that you don't risk hurting yourself or the house you live in. I would think any moving company should be prepared to move things that are "very heavy". It was at this point that the owner of the unit felt the need to run interference between myself and the two movers, and by saying that no one needs anything from me and apologizing again for the damage in my unit. Because I felt sorry for the owner for having to deal with the straight up UNPROFESSIONAL behavior of the movers, I went back inside and decided to brace myself for more damage. I didn't engage the movers any further. I have a few suggestions for "Aloha" International Moving Service. First, maybe hire people that are aware the expectation is that they move "very heavy" things, so that they are more prepared, and this, perhaps, will help to minimize damage to the unit or any surrounding ones. Second, remind your employees that they are representatives of the company, and that any poor behavior will reflect badly on your company as a whole, not just on themselves. Lastly, remove the word "Aloha" from your name, as it is become very clear from this review (and MANY others I've read about your company), that many of your staff members lack aloha for your customers and those with whom your employees have brief, yet meaningful interactions. read more

I have moved many times, over many years, so I have worked with multiple companies. The crew from Aloha International were polite, professional and so easy to work with. James, Josh, and Vince treated me like family. Moving is a stressful time in anyone's life and these guys took some of that stress away for me. They even took the time to reassure my dog, who was more anxious than I was. If I am ever lucky enough to come back to beautiful Hawaii I will be a repeat customer. read more

Aloha International has been AMAZING! 3 workers sent on Day 1 and the same 3 on Day 2, which doesn't often happen. They had a plan, were very organized, and super efficient. They did not fuss over any of my special requests. We have a FULL 2000+ square foot home with 2 stories, a shed, and a garage. They packed 12 crates in 2 full days! AWESOME! I waited until my stuff arrived at our destination before posting this review. When on a military move from Hawaii, we were given a time frame the movers would be at our house. They said between 1200-1400; They showed up at 0930. Which is awesome except I wasn't quite ready for them to be at my house. On top of that, they didnt have base access? How can you be a company that moves military members and we were assigned to, BY THE MILITARY, and not have base access???? Once they were there, they packed things pretty fast, which again was awesome. However, things arrived broken. I imagine it's because they rushed. Not only were things broken, they took apart things that never had to be taken apart. I.e. our couches, down to every little piece, our small nightstands, baby furniture. What pisses me off the most is I'm missing screws for every single item they took apart!!!! Couch included. Almost all of the items that were taken apart is now not usable since it cant be put together properly. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!! I didnt read the reviews until after we were assigned this company. Had I known they would be this terrible I would have called back and demanded to be assigned a different company. Nothing is more stressful than a move, in my opinion, now to finally have our stuff and not be able to use a lot of things because it's either broken or missing pieces is beyond frustrating. read more

Guy came, made nasty comments about my cats, threatening them. Not acceptable. Come to find out, several other families have had experiences where these guys have threatened to hurt their animals when the animals were locked in a room, and they've released animals from locked rooms before too. I don't know why they think this is acceptable behavior. The man was incredible condescending and beyond rude, treating us like sheer dirt. I'm sure they believe they're secure in their DoD contract and that's why they feel the need to behave this way. We go tomorrow to see if we can get a last minute change to another company... Switch companies if you can. These guys are jerks, and animal abusers (making comments about torturing and killing cats is not okay). Update: We weren't able to get the last minute change to a different company. The manager reached out to me shortly after posting my original review, and I told her I was afraid of having my things messed with out of retaliation, so I wouldn't give her my name or any identifying information about us. But everything has changed. We were slotted to be moved on June 7th and 8th. Around 9:30 am on the 7th, Reese, Andrew, and Raymond showed up with big smiles on their faces and contagious happiness. They went through the house with us, and were very courteous and respectful about the areas we had the cats locked in (my master bathroom and the laundry room), and the area we had for things not being packed (master closet). From there on out, things went smoothly. They never once stopped being so happy, polite, and being so careful with our things. They got our whole house (9 crates worth) of household items packed in that day. I hear all these horror stories about movers packing the garbage bins, or food on the stove, and things like that... But every once in a while they came across something that they didn't know if they should pack or not and they stopped and came and asked me--- which was so very much appreciated. Even at 7 pm at night, when they were getting the last few things down from upstairs, the laughing and joking and dancing never stopped. It sounds silly, but their vibe was contagious, and it took my stress down from sky high to just worrying about what's for breakfast tomorrow. 10/10 would totally recommend. We just got a surveyor with a nasty attitude, and I learned that his attitude didn't represent this entire company. I'm glad we weren't able to switch--- these guys did a phenomenal job and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing movers, or the military spouse that doesn't have a choice in movers and needs to take his/her mind off all the stress... Great guys. Truly. Update: removed all but one star. We got our things, to find cigarette boxes and that they'd packed a plastic water bottle (not ours, we don't use them) which was full. It exploded under pressure, damaging a box full of sentimental photos and other items--- which are now COVERED in mold. Nearly every major item is broken, and we are discovering that there was a reason that these guys were fast--- they didn't wrap much. They just sort of stuck things in boxes and said screw it, I guess. Tv is broken, couch is broken, two desks are broken, decor is broken, numerous kitchen items are broken, and my computer refuses to turn on. We haven't finished unpacking much, just three boxes, and I can't begin to describe the amount of damage we are seeing. It hurts. The guys here are literally shaking their head every few minutes... Just used this folks as they were contracted through the company. Review may change pending their follow-on actions. They were used for a 2-day pack and ship. The packing was good, friendly, I even tipped them up front although you're not supposed to for government contracts. Then to get boxes from the second floor to the first floor they started sliding them down the stairs and that's when the damages occured. Chips on the side wall and chips on the stairs as you can see in the photos. They also droppped a box on my router. The lady that was present gave me attitude about why I was "being so loud" regarding the damage. The router was the final straw. They is no assumption of responsibility with these island folk. The process itself is bad, they ask me to fill out a piece of paper for claims and feedback. Both pieces of paper I later found out didn't make it back to the head office because of course, the lady was the daughter of the head mover and the other man that was present was their friend. Probably was thrown in the nearest trash can. I had to call up to their higher, REBL FORWARDING to get a response. Three days I called and finally they sent out an assessment team. Keep in mind I'm PCS-ing and have limited days to seek resolution on the front end. All paperwork only provides counseling guidance for resolution at destination. Assessment team came out, although friendly didn't produce many results and even offered to "marker cover-up" the damage. The material has to be replaced since it's not a paint job. I'm now awaiting final resolution. Things don't move very fast for this company. Find an alternative if you can. read more

This was by far the best, easiest, most FUN move I've ever made! (I've made many) They showed up with supplies and smiles and finished our job in under 2 hours! Ed, the crew leader, was wonderful; the other men were great too. I feel so secure that our stuff will make it to the other side of the world, literally, safely. This company recently moved us from Hawaii to the mainland. We should have known something was up when the packer was irked the first day, complaining that it was a much larger project than the estimator planned on. Yet- somehow- the pack out took a FULL day less than planned. Hmmm. Here's why- it was the most horrendous pack out we have ever witnessed. And we have moved a lot with the military. Instead of boxes, they threw things into our dressers first. And, to be clear, I'm not talking about linens. I'm talking about items like fine Christmas China. This made it very heavy for the poor movers on this end-who, BTW, were extremely professional. And when they did finally resort to boxes, it looked like the move of a mad man under gun fire!! We got absolutely zero upright wardrobes for three bedrooms. Everything was thrown into a lay down box. And they would throw a few items in from one room - go to the next for a handful- and then return to the first room. Things virtually from everywhere just thrown into the boxes. We have no choice but to fully launder every item owned. I did call the company twice. They seem to just nod their heads. I doubt they took me seriously. After all, they just don't care. What a lazy move that was- but at full price! I'll be filing paperwork to send to the military immediately. Don't chance your only belongings with this company. Oh! And what's with not wrapping things and then throwing whole Reams of paper in the top of the box to add weight??? Thoroughly disgusting. * Edited, in case you're wondering if they might be a good company for you, to add that two 10-pound weights were thrown into my box of cosmetics. This review will seem like it's all over the place, but I wanted to share my entire experiences (the ups AND downs) so that management can know how its business is doing. First of all, the movers arrived right on time and were extremely pleasant- we were cracking jokes during the day and listening to music. It was fun, and they helped me out with checking on my items after everything was unloaded. They made sure everything was fine before they left. I wish I had gotten their names, but they did a great job unloading our things. I called a few days later to schedule rubbish pickup. They said 5 business days later (so a Wednesday) at the latest. They asked if I would like to be called BEFORE the crew comes to get the trash, and I said yes. We had half of our moving boxes in the backyard because my complex charges $50 for excess boxes/trash in front of the house. Wednesday came and went...Thursday...Friday...Finally, I called the number and asked where the crew was. I was worried about getting charged from my complex management. They said they probably wouldn't get to me today, but Monday FOR SURE. The man on the phone said that he saw on the account that they did tell me Wednesday at the latest and apologized. Monday finally came....no movers....(this was yesterday). Today I woke up and told myself I wasn't going to stress about it because it's my birthday (lol) and also because I would give them the benefit of the doubt that they would come by the end of the day. Well, I stepped out for an hour and had my phone literally in my hand the entire time just in case they called. I planned on taking the backyard moving boxes to the front of the house with the rest of the moving boxes as soon as they called to say they were on their way. I came home and the moving boxes were gone! No phone call, nothing. Since they hadn't called, I didn't have a chance to move all the moving boxes from the backyard to the front. Furthermore, I didn't have a chance to close the lid on my own trash bin and separate it. So, when I came home, the moving boxes were gone and an empty UPS package, a plastic bag, and my old BRA were out on the street in my assigned parking spot. I called the company immediately to have them come back and get the boxes in the backyard. Someone said they would call me back. Finally, Glen called me and explained that he talked to the crew who said they DID call me, etc., etc. I'm confident that they were just trying to not get in trouble. I informed Glen that I found it off that employees of a reputable business would not even leave a message? Fishy. My phone was next to me the entire time. Then, they backtracked and thought maybe they were in a low service zone. I didn't mention the bra and trash. It wasn't their job to take that out, but it was slightly embarrassing that it was out on the street. Could they not have just left it? Better yet, couldn't they have called first so that I could make sure the boxes were exactly as they needed to be? I was informed that it would need to be the same crew that came back to get my backyard trash. I was then informed that that particular crew would not be in my area (Kapolei) for "a while." I asked for specifics and poor Glen couldn't give me any. What is a while? They should be here as soon as possible- no phone call, two times not showing up on schedule...unacceptable. I want to be SUPER clear to management that Glen was the nicest and most professional person on the phone with me. Clearly, I was frustrated and he listened to all my complaints. He did the best he could to help me out, but in the end, it's the company itself with it's policy and sporadic routes. Thank you, Glen, for at least trying to help. I hope the company recognizes a great employee! Overall, I'm so disappointed in this recent experience because it started off so well. The unpacking process was so pleasant. read more

I wanted to come back and report that we received our household goods and nothing was broken. Not a single dish was chipped, nothing was scratched and it appears we received everything in the same condition we left it. After all the stress of getting this move set up and dealing with a single unprofessional employee, this moving company and Travis (general manager) really came through to provide us with the best service we've ever had in a move. The crew of Aloha were the best. Not only did they completely unload our entire house in a day on a Saturday, they came back the next Monday to help us reassemble all of our furniture without pay. The people in Groton, CT took apart way more furniture than was required for the move (they literally disassembled everything and had no systematic way to store the hardware) and the guys at Aloha came back and helped us find the hardware and put together all of our furniture to include our baby's room that had no furniture due to the carelessness of the CT movers. 11 July 2016 They got here right when they said they would. All three were very friendly, singing and cracking jokes all day! Good attitude and sense of humor was very much appreciated! They did an AMAZING job packing. I felt terrible at one point. We had to tear open several boxes to find some paperwork we forgot to put in our suitcases. He assured me that it was all okay as he was resealing the boxes, but I still apologized over and over. They were very thorough, asking me how I wanted something packed, asking about our high value items, double checking what to pack and what not to pack, etc. They were very careful when loading our motorcycles (our Harleys are our babies!). Our dogs were in a corner of the room in their crates(also our babies), one is whiny and has bad anxiety and our movers were very respectful of their space. They were very patient with me all day (I was stressing about other moving related things and my head wasn't all there). When they were finished, they asked me to do a walkthrough just to be sure they had everything. They treated our possessions with respect just like They would their own! They were great. I definitely had no issue offering to order a Subway platter for them for lunch, they deserved it! Oh and to top it all off, we were scheduled for a THREE DAY MOVE. They knocked it ALL out between 9am and 5pm just TODAY! A supervisor showed up right before 5 to bring more paper and was surprised that they were already done. I would give more than 5 stars if I could! Aloha International, these guys deserve a bonus or at least lunch on you! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Aloha international moved us out of Waikiki last August. They came in and started packing our stuff so quickly that we couldn't see what was going in to any of the boxes. When our house hold items finally reached our next destination, we were dismayed to see how haphazardly and disorganized everything was. First of all they broke a lot of our stuff. They broke several lamps and they cracked the screen on our brand new flat screen television. They were so hurried as they disassembled furniture, the the pegs used to level the shelves in our bookcases went missing. They packed our linens randomly in different boxes and they arrived really dirty and stained. We are still unpacking and I haven't tried to turn on my computer and other electronics, I'm hoping those didn't get destroyed also. Oh, and they disassembled my bicycle and lost one the pedals, but not before they shipped a surfboard with no wrapping or covering on it whatsoever. The couch went as is, no protective covering... Honestly, do not go with this company if you have a choice. And if you don't have a choice, tell your employer to pick someone else. read more

Terrible customer service. During the move there was damage to the house. When I called to get this rectified they said they would do so. I had to call back three more times for them to tell me that they would just send a check.(which still has not arrived) I also had to call them five times in order to have my boxes picked up. They gave me an appointment of friday, "at some point" they did not show up and with no apology dispatch sent them out the following Tuesday . Overall poor experience. I recommend using another company if possible. read more

The Army hired this company to move us out of our house to our new duty station overseas. Moving can be very stressful especially the process of having your entire house packed up by strangers. This is our 3rd move and always a different company so we never know what to expect. Everyone we dealt with from the initial walkthrough person, to the shift supervisor and his crew, to the manager who came to check on their progress were super awesome. They were friendly, respectful, professional and although it's super hot out being July, they worked hard and efficiently. They came on Friday and got the bulk done. It's Monday now and they are here finishing up the rest of our stuff as I write this review. (We have a lot of stuff!) My husband is downstairs with them and I am upstairs entertaining our 15 month old in one of our now empty rooms while they pack up and I can hear the Hawaiian music that's playing on their Bose ipod dock downstairs which is heaven to my ears! We are very happy we got such a great company, it makes moving a lot less painful. Thank you Aloha International Moving Services! On a side note... Our folding picnic table was taken from our garage. Never made it to Germany. I think it might've been Royal Hawaiian movers that took it though. Either way, it is gone, never made it in packing list. Also, we had a lot of damages when our things arrived in Germany. The claims people for the German movers are trying to lowball us. Disappointed about that but hard to know whose fault the damages were from; Shipping end or receiving end. Our dresser with its leg that got broke in the move is sitting on books, and collapsed on our 2 year old son. I had to lift drawers off of him that fell out when the dresser fell forward. Luckily he was scared but unharmed, just a small cut on toe. Could've been a lot worse. Wish the damage claims were more efficient so we could deal with our broken items! read more

Really wishing I could put zero stars on this one... I have never felt the need to write a bad review for a company before, but after moving from the island, I am just now unpacking all my belongings and I am extremely upset with the way my stuff looks. Parts of my dressers and nightstands that did not need to be taken apart were unscrewed from them... and now I can't find half of the screws anywhere. On one of my nightstands the mover ripped out one of the legs and it can't be put back on now.. he did the same thing with the front of the drawer. When they took apart my dining room table, they drilled holes into the surface of the table top. There's also chips in the wood on my dining room table. There's way too many things broken already and I'm only half way through unpacking. DO. NOT. USE. THIS. COMPANY. They suck. Do yourself a favor and avoid them at all costs. read more

Because I have to give a star unfortunately! They weren't very courteous when moving. VERY CARELESS when packing my items, used my already bagged and labeled clothes as packing instead of actual paper. I now have extra work to sort thru my entire families clothes! It took 2 months to receive my items. A lot of valuables are broken - Which I will be filing a caim for and I DO have receipts for everything! They tried to claim we had 11,000+ pounds moved but only had 8,000 talk about GOUGING us! I found toothpaste MISSING THE CAP in a completely different box! Where's the toothpaste!? With all my what use to be nice ballgowns. Just a disgrace! Its dispicable how ignorant and uncaring they are to peoples belongings! Too bad pretty much ALL of the movers on island suck so it's a rock and a hard place to pick from. Depends what you'd like broken. They refused to pack certain items, which I understand to an extent, but if you pack half why not the other half!? Coconut oil will not explode! But my nail Polish remover might or my hair spray cans might have. I wish I was home when they packed my house! Unfortunately I couldn't be there and they didn't communicate with my husband at all! Moving is never a fun task but Aloha International rocks my socks! The crew was very professional, and handled all my items with care. Not only were they careful, but they were incredibly efficient, packing my one-bedroom apartment in an hour and a half.
