They also carry blank keys for duplication. I'm particularly interested in the Hello Kitty keys - and saw that they also have logos of sports teams such as the Rams, Jets, Browns, Cowboys, Chargers, Lions, Raiders, and the 49ers... My one and only apartment key had cracked around 8pm at night. After going to the franchised department stores, I was referred to visit Andrew at Aloha Key to find a solution the next day. I recommend this place if you want to go to a store where they are rude and act like they don't have time for you- ps. I was the only one in the store. I asked very basic questions as it was my first time buying awards. I had to buy eight awards so I figure I better get it right since I will be spending about $1k. I started off with basic questions. Again, I have never ordered awards before. The person working was not only a waste of space- but he was rude and very condescending. I went to another trophy store right after as I walked out and told the employee I would rather go somewhere where the employees aren't so rude. The difference of service level I received at the next store I went to was night and day. I am so glad the worker at aloha was and is a jerk, because I was able to go to another awards store where they were extremely helpful; I am glad that is where I spent the $1,000 budget I had. After reading the other reviews of this store, I should have done so before I wasted my time going there on Nimitz. Oh well.. Very bad customer service. Sent a message asking what their quote was to unlock my friend's door at her apartment and they didn't reply for more than two days. After we went to a different company to open her door, I sent them a courtesy message (automated my Yelp) saying "I no longer need this service" -- you know, as a courtesy so they wouldn't have to worry about us getting in her apartment. So the two days after I reached out to them on Yelp message, they sent me this super rude message as a reply (see photo attached). Truly poor customer service. No wonder why they're rated three stars. I'm always down to give low rating companies a shot, but the owner is just terrible. Read the other latest reviews before mine. OUR ADVICE -- Don't go to their company for any service whatsoever. Go to Affordable Locksmith & Son if you ever get locked out of your house/apartment/car! I came in, in desperate need of a laser engraved piece (2 actually). I don't remember the gentleman who was working, just knew that he said he was working by himself. Messaged them to ask about getting a replacement remote key for my car and they had a good price. They also do key cuttings if you bring your own purchased key so I took that route. Bought a remote key on Amazon and got it cut from aloha key awards for $15 then programmed it myself. Worked out great and so I did the same for my moms car. Fast, cheap and great service. If you do go the same route as I did, make sure you get the right key and make sure you know how to actually program it. The route I took saves a lot of money and is very easy if you know what you're doing. 100% recommend and I would come here again when I need any key service. read more

Nice little shop. And, a very necessary one. Helped cut me new keys, which sounds easier than it was - my keys are unique shapes for custom locks, etc. Fortunately, they have what is/was needed here. The guy who helped me was responsive and hustled to assist. If i understand, this store has a sister business elsewhere in the same complex, and the worker(s) have to spread themselves between places. I had an issue with a couple of the keys - they didn't fit perfectly in the key holes and turn smoothly; this was not an issue, and, after I returned to the shop with my keys, they polished (and did whatever else they did) and, returning home, the keys worked as though they were new and came with the hardware. I'm not sure why people don't give this place the stars they deserve. Customer service. I never had an issue with Jace. They guarantee all they cut keys. I literally go there to get my keys cut and never had one issue. They cut keys the best on the island, and is the cheapest. I call this place a mom and pop shop. It's nothing fancy. It's missing a star because the parking is horrible here and it really has nothing to do with the business, but it's managed by Diamond parking and the parking attendants are down right rude. My word of advise: check with them as to where you need to park because they act like chihuahua's and they will bark back at you! No joke. read more

I have been a customer of Aloha Key Awards & Gifts for well over 15 years. Dealt mostly with Lee on the awards side. Lee was always a pleasure to work with. Courteous, attentive, patient, and prifessional. Within the last couple years, I've been utilizing their key services. Some days they were soooo busy. But they were well worth the wait. Their replications of the keys I handed to them would always fit. I never had problems. Their customer service was good. This was all pre-covid at their shop in Kakaako. My last visit was to their new location on Nimitz. Nice. Small, clean. They are on the first floor, just pass Tiny Pyramid. I made it there 10 minutes before closing. Whew! There were only 2 people ahead of me but one was paying and the other was off to the side, waiting for her order. There were 2 guys behind the counter so I was assisted rather quickly. Told them I wanted 3 sets as I had 2 separate keys, identical in shape. Okay, so picture this...2 identical keys - 3 sets is 2 keys per set. I get my order with all 6 keys in a small ziploc bag. And my comment was, "Wow, you couldn't separate the keys?" I spent almost $20 and they couldn't put the three of the same keys in one ziplock bag and the other 3 in another? I got no comment. I know. Not a big deal. All I had to do was match up the pattern of the keys together. After all, they're only 6 keys. But when you're stressed, caring for an aging mother and having to handle multitudes of tasks, schedules, and appointments, a simple thing like sparing one more ziplock to separate the two different keys is just good customer service. And some might say, "Well, he didn't know of my situation." But that's the thing...you never know. I hope they consider how the little things can make a huge difference. All that being said, I stand by my statement in saying they do a good job of duplicating keys. read more

I bought blanks for my car keys. Most said they wouldn't cut them, or they quoted me $50 per key. One quote I got was for $100. What?!? Aloha Key responded to my request almost immediately, and they cut my keys for $10 each. They don't guarantee if you bring your own, which is understandable, but I trusted the blanks. I used to see your kiosk in the Pearlridge Phase II (2), aka Downtown, and currently Wai Makai where Sears is located ground floor next to Zippys. No longer there though I used to get my services done there. There was a young and nice man that provided since and excellent customer service all the time. I have been coming here for years and always get great sincere friendly genuine top notch efficient service from Jace. I believe one of the main reasons for their success is Jace. I have to say my experience was awful. I went into the store and meet with Elric. He seemed very professional and they had a large selection of gifts and items to choose from. Looked at some samples of badges and thought wow looks great. He promised me a 1 week turn around. I decided to order the badges for some high ranking officials in my organization. The proof took forever to get. But when I did it Looked great. This was 3 weeks in. I was getting upset. Way to long. I told him that if he could not have it ready please let me know so I can order it from someplace else. Elric assured me it would look professional and great for the event. Finally they were ready and it was all wrong. I asked for gold I got silver. The print was not as clear as in the proof. Just not great quality. I explained this to him and he said he would have it redone in gold. The event at this point was 2 days away and I was nervous as I trusted him to have this ready ahead of time. He had it ruined the day before. Now they don't look good but I was forced to buy it as I don't have anything else to give the officials. Elric promised me that he will have it redone when they get their machine done but with so many broken promises and he got paid I don't believe him. He did give me a discount but seriously I rather have what expected instead of getting a inferior product. I still spent several hundred dollars in this project. I attached 2 pictures. The white one was the proof. The gold is what I got. Color was not clear and the letters were streaky. Although I am not expecting it at this point. I am curious if he will make good on his promises to get a better image and better run... No mater what happens these officials will be disappointed, I am sure, and I am sure this will affect his future business as there are many business officials that will see this product. ****UPDATE**** One month later No repose or follow through by either Elric and the owner. ZERO STARS IF I COULD....service was so horrible I would rather try to scale my appt building than call them again Got locked out of my appt. called and got quoted 20 mins.waited for an hour and nothing had to call back to see what happens (I don't think they even sent someone.Cuz the tech said he only got the Call 7 minutes beforehand.) I brought Genuine blank keys of the dealer. I also brought the code for this business to duplicate/cut the keys. The person at the counter asked where I got the code and the keys from. I told him from the dealer. He then claimed that the keys were inferior. Although it had the logo on the blank keys. I was in need of the duplicate keys. So, instead he sold me inferior blank keys with no genuine logo. The keys work; however, his attitude was RUDE. I wonder if he still works there or is the owner. I was there when they opened. Needed a key copy that nobody seemed to have. Went in, waited in line for a bit, then asked for copies. He looked at it, saw that his rack didn't have it, looked in some boxes and found matches. Made the copies faster than the automated machines at Home Depot and Walmart. Paid and tested the copies at home and they worked as smoothly as the originals. They actually felt better than the originals. The guy who helped me was very nice and looked kinda young. His experience with the keys threw me off a bit but I'm glad he definitely knew what he was doing. read more

After much traveling; 3rd time being the charm. I found a place that could make a copy of my storage lock keys (my locks are those huge massive jumbo ones that could knock a bitch out). I went to Home Depot & City Mill and they said they didn't have the right keys to City Mill sent me here. If you take the turn on to Cooke from Ala Moana Blvd. They'll be on the right hand side, at the next intersection. They have minimal parking (5-6) stalls. A few of which you may need to be a compact size for. They have street parking, but by 3:30 you gotta move it due to tow away zone time frames. They have exactly what's in their name. Keys: I got my 2 lock keys done for 1.60 each. Awards: They do trophes and labels. Gift: I think both safety and getting awards are gifts in themselves, aren't they? $10 minimum when using a credit card. They have a rather large selection of decorative keys; roses, stars, etc. They even have characters from Family Guy and Disney just to name a few. The key guy accidentaly made me 2 sets when I asked for just one. He threw the mistake in for free. Which is nice. I am a person who would rather do a one-stop-shop thing. I would rather go to a place that CAN do it, than a place that MIGHT do it. Not to mention, I never waited in a line, and parking was a breeze. read more

Very disappointed in our experience. Maybe customer service isn't that important. I went with my coworker to get some keys done. She tells me, "What was that lady's problem? She seems so angry." I don't know what was wrong with the lady behind the desk. But a total turnoff. How about smiling? How about being pleasant?
