Ryan is THE man! I was in search of a business that makes trophies for a work-related project. As we all know, when in search of a business for an unfamiliar area of interest, we turn to Yelp. And again, Yelp did not steer me wrong. Mike's Engraving & Trophies was located near where I live and received good ratings, so I decided to check them out. Located in Harbor Center on Hekaha Street, it wasn't easy to find the location at first. Drive allllllll the way to the last row of businesses and go all the way down to the end. You'll find this business on your left when you reach the end of the row. You're welcome in advance....haha! There's no website to view what type of trophies they have, so you kind of need to know what you want. You could go in to the shop, but their hours are Mon - Fri 10:30 am - 2:45 pm and closed on the weekends. Not the biggest window of opportunity to check out their selections. Best option is to email Ryan with what you are looking for and he can work with you to create something based on his inventory. My particular request was a little different from what he usually does, so he needed to include his friend to help make the logos. His friend was off island at the time, so luckily I didn't need the trophies right away. But once his friend came back, they got right to it and both requested items came out incredibly beautiful! Nicer than I had imagined! Super appreciative to Ryan for his patience in going back and forth with emails to get exactly what we wanted. He understands quality and will work with you every step of the way to get you exactly what you want. read more

He called me back right away but unfortunately his friend doesn't do that work. But his generous offer to reach out to his friend was greatly appreciated. Ryan goes above and beyond for his customers. I'm new to his business and I needed engraving last minute, I found him on google and stopped by. It has been just about a year since our youth flag football team has been going to Ryan at Mike's Engraving and since our first order he has always exceeded expectations. Our first order had been a last minute decision to get our team's medals and Ryan completed the entire order OVERNIGHT! Ryan is the best! So the place is called Mike's Engravings, but I believe Ryan took over the company after his father, Mike. Ryan is on top of it and responds to his emails immediately with requests. He made 100 ribbons for my school's Chess Tournament with our school's logo on top. The ribbons were cheap and affordable and were completed before the expected finish time. Toward the end of the school year, I needed two trophies for our school's Chess Tournament completed within a week. The trophies were finished and ready for pickup in 3 days. Ryan is a servant of the people and I highly recommend Mike's Engravings for all of your awards, personal and school-related. read more

Only person I go to. Period. Professional. Prompt. Easy. I have worked with Ryan a few times now on going away nameplates for my work colleagues. Every single product he has done has nailed it. What else can I say? He offers a large variety of choices, and is not happy until you are happy. When I ask for something to be done at a specific date/time...he is usually way early. Contact with him is very easy (email, phone, text) and he always answers promptly. I had one occasion where I screwed up, and he fixed it with no issues and no grief. He always sent reminders about pictures he needed & always kept me updated with when they would be ready, if they would be done early he'd call & the amount. The other shop gave me weird vibes, so I decided to give Elson's a try since everyone in the reviews had nothing but positive things to say. I emailed them in the morning and decided to call as well to check if they take walk-in repairs. The person I spoke with happened to be the owner's brother and they said yes, just come on down--so I did just that! I was welcomed in by Elson Jr., the owner's brother and person I spoke with on the phone, and he told me they could repair the chain for $50 and get it done in about 30 minutes. Good deal in my opinion! So I waited in the store and not even 15 minutes later, the chain was repaired *AND* Elson said they cleaned it! Highly, highly recommend these guys for jewelry repairs if you live near ʻAiea or even if you can drive in from elsewhere on Oʻahu. Mahalo again to Elson and Calin, both of whom provided excellent customer service and attention to my request!

Ample parking. It is right next to where Toys R Us used to be, and to get to the parking you will need to turn in at the light by Big City Diner. The new store is a definite upgrade to the old location! It was a little confusing for me to find as you can't see Elson's from the parking lot. You will have to walk out through a pathway to get to Pali Momi Street and walk to where the store faces the street. You will need to get buzzed in for security reasons. They have a small jewelry selection available that is ready to purchase, but it seems they do a lot of custom work. I primarily come here for repairs! I've replaced missing pave diamonds and just had a repair done today for a bracelet I had where a pear shaped diamond fell out. I unfortunately did not have the diamond, but they had a similar natural diamond on hand and were able to repair it in about 20 minutes! Repair cost was about $100 less than I was quoted to mail it back to the jewelry company that I purchased it from in the mainland. Saved money and got it back right away. I will always come here for jewelry repair needs!

Normally I send my order to Office Depot for same day printing but I called and they said they wouldn't be able to print it that day. Then I went to Walgreens who said they're backed up 4 days. Went to UPS store they couldn't help me either. I was losing hope and praying bc i didn't want my son to be the only one without a poster or banner (I found out a day before that he was walking and had to scramble finding pictures and designing). I remembered this shop in Kapolei and called. Say helped me and said absolutely he could have it printed within 2 hours. He even emailed me first so I could email back my file to print with instructions. I sent him 3 files for 3- 18x24 poster boards and told him which is the main one I need if he can't print them all. He called me to clarify and said he could print them all and attach them to poster boards within 2 hours. He actually had them ready within 1 hour and cleared counter space for me to attach my sticks to the boards. The posters printed matte, while i would've preferred glossy, but hey, my son had boards! Wonderful customer service, accommodated my last minute order & price was very good too at $36/ea (cheaper than Office Depot). 5 stars all the way! P.S. they have USPS services for your mailing/shipping needs!

Thank you for the delivery, which you offered because the order was completed later than anticipated. We received the order the afternoon before the event, but we were not able to use the men's shirts because the design was too big. We decided to use the women's tees for events. In our business, customer satisfaction is number one and we strive to make sure our customers are completely happy. I was not happy as a customer, therefore I reacted strongly. I now have to spend more money to purchase shirts with the correct design size, so I was upset. Since your response to the Yelp request was fast and you printed the shirts, I am adjusting my review to "3" because I was not satisfied with the customer service.

Background: We had ordered our football team shirts through a mutual friend of ours who had done previous shirts for us. However, this time due to an emergency the order fell through and we had only a few days (LITERALLY like 2 days) to get these shirts for the kids as it was our gift to them for making it to the championship. Desperately searching, Wave Custom Teez responded and accepted! Pros: 1. The shirts are of good quality. We wanted just plain black cotton shirts and they had it in all the sizes we needed 2. They were able to print out the design we wanted on the shirts easily and without any modifications to them 3. They were sooooo accommodating especially with our last minute request. The logo design/name on the back of our shirts were slightly big and a little further down than we would have liked but considering the extremely last minute order, this is no fault of the company's as I'm sure if I had more time they would have easily accommodated my request. Also the shirts are pretty pricey and the price stays the same no matter what size you're getting (cost of an xs = cost of a 3xl) but again as it was super last minute, I expected the cost to be double, even triple what I originally paid for through my vendor. Thank you to Wave Custom Tees for making our shirts! The players loved it alot!

I've been here on several occasions for graphic designs for business cards, banners, sticker wrap…read morefor my car windows, and postcards. They are not pricey and their turn around time is quick. I just walked in today and asked for 300 postcards and a poster design and the design and printing was completed within the day. I usually do banners and thy are ready in 1-2 days. I always work with Joanna and she is always positive and provides friendly customer service. I can email designs and pics and it speeds up the entire process. Some things to note are the parking situation. There is very limited parking spaces in the lot and parking is tight. Also, on a few occasions, I've been there at opening hours and they opened up late. I recommend you call before you drive there. I will continue shopping there.
