Nearly impossible to get your car serviced. According to the website service scheduling app, there are NO dates ever that you can book service on. This has literally been the case for over a year. If the app doesn't work, just remove it. The last time I scheduled service I got a text back a few days later saying that they were sorry but my service appt was cancelled. Not rescheduled, cancelled. No explanation. It seems that over the years this dealership has had a big problem keeping service techs on staff - a lot of turnover. But whatever the reason, my next car will be something other than a Kia, that I can schedule service for. read more

After the service they found lots of problem with the car how can that be, supposed to b still good condition. There was problem wth the two front wheel then the break pad front & back. Now they saying there is another prob they have to check another diagnosis another payment. Is a rip off. Im thankful for there service but another thing is charging me so much that the car has so many problem. Brand new Kia soul 2018 only 4 year of used. But so many problem & recall. I've been coming here since 2016 and the service has always been good. Last year 2020, I came here to get my car serviced with oil change, full point inspection, and tire rotation. My appointment was at 8:00 A.M. but they didn't take it in till 10:00 A.M. I went to ask Jet (service guy who was managing the front) why are they taking cars who came after me and by this time it was already 9:15. Jet said, I'm sorry but your car will be next. But of course not, that didn't happen at all. That day was the first time I was so disappointed with their service department. I decided to give them another chance. So I made an appointment for today (April 14, 2021) which consists of checking transmission, changing front and rear shocks, and replacing my tire pressure monitor system (all 4 of them). When I made this appointment, I asked Jet if they have car loaners that I could use since I know it would take the whole day to fix. He told me that they have cars I could rent for $34 a day. My next question was if I needed to go to a car rental agency. Jet said no need to worry because they have cars on their lot and I wouldn't need to go anywhere. I was stoked and said O.K. sounds good, see you on the 14th. Ok so before I go any further, this appointment was made on April 9th. My appointment was at 10:00 so I get there at 9:00 just to make sure I get things settled with the car rental. I get checked in by Jet and I asked him questions about the car rental. He tells me they only have 5 cars to rent and they are all taken. I could stay and wait for another car to be returned but it needs to be checked in and washed (and not a guarantee that there will be a car returned today). He keeps talking and I'm already trying to control my anger. He then tells me that he could call Enterprise to see if they have any cars for rent. OH MY GOODNESS!!! By this time I'm thinking WTH I have to go back to work, he told me I didn't need to go anywhere to rent a car, he said he'll have a car for me, and a whole lot of crap running through my head, but at the same time I'm trying to keep it cool. I tell Jet, I need a car if I plan to leave my car here, I'll just deal with Enterprise. I receive a call from Enterprise verifying information from Jet. This lady should get 5 stars for her customer service BTW. She asks me if I have a major credit card? I say "I'm sorry I don't one, but I have debit". She then tells me I needed 2 documents because I have a debit card. I need an electric bill and a recent pay stub. Oh Brother! I told her, I'm so sorry but I don't carry those things with me on the spot and I'm already here in Lihue. She was so nice trying to help me but I couldn't take the car. (having a major Credit Card is too dangerous for my spending lol). I had to apologize to her and went back to the service desk to talk to Jet. With all of this going on, I took my keys and left. They are understanding, and they try their best to get a good deal at great rates. Tho I didn't get approved for what I wanted because I couldn't afford it. Didn't stop them from finding me something that could get me to and from work. A vehicle is a privilege, sounds like you had a bad experience. That's unfortunate. But its funny how your brand new (used) Toyota Tacoma broke down magically in less than a month. Extended warranties are great added security to any new (used) vehicle. Too bad, things like windshield wipers, brake pads, clutch are wear and tear items that aren't covered by warranty. 1700-2000 to fix a clutch and components? Interesting. Toyota OEM parts would run $1.5k to start, labor probably $1.2k Wait but you said $2000 to foot the bill at the dealership? Or $3300? And just Moved to Kaua'i? If my budget allowed it, would have been nice to have a cool vehicle. But my 2004 Toyota has AC, powered everything, well maintained. Does the job of getting me from A to B. I've learned in the past, if you can't pay...don't play. Btw I've been to the dealership last week for service, seen your "new" tacoma, "assuming" it was your tacoma.Total eye sore and asked what swamp did that truck get pulled out of. Apparently it wasn't driven off road, probably just took 100 gallons of mud and got a new paint job. At the end of the day, Aloha Kia strives to help us regular Joe Smoes. It is so easy to schedule an appointment online, they have several appointments available, and they send a reminder text to me! When you actually arrive the building is easy, clean, they have water and chips available. I just moved to Kauai after getting my masters degree in New York. I have spent most my money moving here to be a 5th grade special ED teacher at Kapa'a elementary and now my brand new vehicle I just purchased is broke down and cannot be driven until I come up with $2000 to fix it. The General manager Jeff did the typical car dealership nightmare and accused me of off roading after only owning the car for not even 1 month. Nicole, That has not been my experience with KIA at all. I have always had a great experience with this company. The whole team is amazing there, because of the leadership of their GM Jeff. My family and I have always purchased vehicles from him because he is genuine and always sells great cars whether new or second hand. Sounds to me based on reading this review, you did the typical newbie move of getting a vehicle after moving to the island and you treated it like a rental car. That is not the dealerships fault that you abused the car. I would love to see pictures of how you returned it to them. It really saddens me that people like you, post these things when you don't get your way. That's why you have insurance. Next time don't abuse your car and expect someone else to foot the bill. A word of advice, since you just moved here from New York.... this island is too small to be trashing the local business. bought our car there, have had all the service done there, My wife took it in for scheduled oil change at 30,000 miles and annual give the annual safety check. My wife was they would not give a safety sticker because the front pads were too worn. informed the brake pads needed to be replaced and was told they might as well replace the rotors while doing the front pads. My wife declined their advise and drove the car home. I checked the rotors on the car and they were in perfect condition, not warped not grooved not a ridge or pit on either one really no signs of wear. It was like saying we are changing the oil we should replace the engine while we have the hood up. Trying to take advantage of a 65 year old women. We will never spend another dime in that dealership. read more

My girlfriend and I just spent $40,000 on a 2016 Toyota Tacoma from aloha Kia. We paid extra for the full warranty package playing it safe Seeing as how we just spent most of our savings on this truck. Two weeks later it breaks down at night on our way home, we have it towed back to them and they tell us that our warranty doesn't cover the clutch and flywheel (the part that broke) and it will cost $3300 to fix it. We politely tell them that this is not fair and it's been two weeks since we purchased it, they refuse to make it right, I called three mechanics they quoted the fix at $1700-2000 (not $3300) and said they have also heard bad things about aloha Kia. I highly recommend nobody use them. We also bought a $30,000 Jeep from king auto in Lihue and they have always treated us right. Do NOT shop at this Dealership! In the first 2 months of ownership this is what has happened: 1. They let me drive off the lot with 10lbs of extra tire pressure in each tire, causing the car to verer off road at high speeds. They fixed it. 2.They sold me a Honda CRV with an 3 open safety recall on the air bags after they told me it had been fixed! lying to my face or at least bull shitting. II had to call Honda and bring it in overnight to get this taken care of. They had even ordered the parts from Honda- so clearly they knew that this needed fixing. lucky no one was hurt. 3. The car has leaks from the windshield seals all over the floor boards of the car. Leaks from underneath that my mechanic told me were recently and poorly patched up with cheap materials as well. Kia refused to fix even though I purchased the extended warranty, I have a strong sense they knew that the car had leaks. Victor my sales man seemed sheepishly uneasy throughout this sale. I think they all knew I was getting screwed. But that is how these folks do business. Apparently KIA cares more about their profit than the safety and satisfaction of their customers,or their reputation. Really appalling business practices Kia. read more

Can't say much about auto sales because I didn't buy a car there. But there car servicing is great! I always take my car there every 3 months for service! They offer shuttle service if you need to go somewhere while they are servicing your car. Just got my oil valve fix and it was done in no time! My suggestion is to CALL and follow up because there were times I was waiting and my car was already DONE and they forgot to call. Just my friendly little reminder for those who do plan to take their car there for service. Also I didn't know they usually do a compliment car wash if your car is getting fixed. I thought it was only for just the service. They washed it for me when I got my oil valve fixed, which was really nice of them! read more

I started going here to service my car...not purchased from them and they were so friendly at the service desk. When my family grew I went to them to purchase a van. I got a preowned Van and their manager Jeff Corona promised that the engine was perfect and it was a great car. About 2 weeks of driving...not very much cause I just gave birth....the van started losing power on turns. I brought it in for service and was told it was a faulty code and something covered under manufacturer's warranty which was still in effect. I brought it into the local dealership and they said they can't find any code and my manufacturer's warranty had expired 2 weeks after I purchased my car from Kia. I just called Kia again to use the extended warranty I purchased with them and was instructed to call the dealership cause they have the tools needed. then the dealership will have to call the extended warranty company to see if it's covered. Such terrible experiences! I need my car and it's so hard scheduling anything...even harder when the people you purchased it from gives you the run around I know it needs to be done and it's unsafe...im sure Kia knows it too! read more

I was referred to this store by another mechanic. I wish I had never gone. I only paid 39.00 for a so called inspection, oil change, tire rotation. This sounds like a good deal including the car wash, but you get what you pay for. When I got home they hadn't even topped off the coolant fluid which they claim is part of their deal. While I'm greatful that they changed my tires, I do not trust that they even did an oil change. They didn't bother to top off the coolant and it makes me wonder if they even bothered to do any of the other stuff. In addition to that I had to wait drive all the way to Lihue and wait three hours for my car to get done. I was told it was going to be an hour and a half. Sorry but if a deal is too good to be true, then it's too good to be true. While they did try to offer me good customer service, I can honestly say I do not trust this company and will never go there ever again to get my car serviced. They seem like the type of company that will cause more problems for your car that didn't exist, and then turn around and charge exhorbidant amounts of money to fix problems that weren't even there. When I called to complain they told me to come back in again for the third time. Do I have time and gas to waste to keep driving to this store just so they can do something they were supposed to do in the first place? It was a good deal but not that good.
