If I could give less than a one star, I would. The last time I've brought my vehicle to Kuhio Chevy for a service 3 years ago, a technician banged my truck while reversing off the lift and parts had to be replaced. I went back this time because it is the dealership of my vehicle's manufacturer with the thought it would be a better decision. I regret that decision completely . My Silverado had given out while I was driving and so my first thought was to bring my truck to the dealership that dealt with my manufacturer. But, I was wrong. I was able to schedule my appointment on 3/31/23 at 730 am online regarding a diagnostic check on my vehicle. I informed an advisor that my vehicle was going to be towed to the dealership on Thursday 3/30 so it would be there first thing in the AM for my appointment. The advisor confirmed my vehicle was received and would be looked at. On Friday 3/31 in the morning, I've attempted multiple times to contact the service department to follow up on the progress of my vehicle starting from the morning, but had not received a response from anyone in the service department. I have left voice mails and called multiple landlines during that time, and still no response. Not one person answered their phone that day. I didn't receive a response from Kuhio Service dept. until Tuesday 4/4 @1305 via text message for communication. Noted this is after multiple phone calls to landlines, extensions and voicemails to Kuhio service dept. in the previous days. On Tues 4/4 @ 1342, I was informed my vehicle wasn't even looked at yet regardless of me having a scheduled appointment for 3/31 on Fri. What was told to me was that they were short handed and my vehicle was still on dispatch. It confuses me because I already had the first AM appointment on Fri 3/31 and it still wasn't tended to in a timely manner. I questioned why via text as to what happened to my appointment time for my vehicle and why it wasn't tended to at it's scheduled time. I received no response on Tuesday 4/4 because I had to pay for a rental out of pocket just to get my truck fixed. No response..... The next communication to me via text was on wed 4/5/23 @ 0726am that they would "try" to get answers for me????? Again, I explained that my vehicle had been there a week and was not looked at during its scheduled appt time. I received no response. I called all extensions and landlines on Wednesday 4/5 and no one returned my calls. I then again texted on Thursday 4/6 @ 1323 and found out Kuhio was closed for Holiday. On Monday, I texted again @ 0800 stating that it was already TWO WEEKS passed my appt date and my vehicle STILL was not looked at. I explained that I had to pay out of pocket for a rental just to attempt and get my vehicle fixed and this was WAY MORE than an inconvenience because nothing was done in a timely manner. The response I received on Mon. 4/10 was "tech is looking at it" I then response around 2pm "any updates?" Their response 29 min after was " will let you know today" Almost an hour after- I received a response stating my engine was running fine and fluids were topped off with no signs of there being leakage anywhere besides the oil leak I informed Kuhio of with my engine oil pan. The advisor then called me that afternoon stating that I could fix the water pump and oil pan to get me back on the road by Wednesday. When Wednesday came around- I messaged at 7am trying to confirm if my vehicle would be finished and if so what time because on my rental arrangements. No response..... I called all landlines again and no respond as well. Around 1230 I called the front lobby of Kuhio and explained to them what was going on and their crass response was, "they'll text you when your vehicle is ready" I tried to explain my situation in which the lady on the phone refused to listen to and stated maybe I called at a bad time because it was lunch?. Shortly after- I received a text. At 1350 that my vehicle was ready for pickup. I had spent close to 1500 out of pocket for a rental that was unnecessary. If my vehicle was looked at on its schedule date and time of appointment, I wouldn't have to have spent another $700 for a rental out of pocket. I'm VERY disappointed with what happened because not only did I have to spend money where it was not needed., but the task at hand to be completed took all of three days to repair for minor issues...... let alone the parts cost me $300 while the labor was well over $600!!!!!!! How is this even something that should have happened??? So much time and money wasted on irresponsibility and lack of consideration for the customer. What should I do now because it's not fair that I had to spend all this money that I could've saved if things were dealt in a timely manner! Its not fair on my part if I did everything correct and have to bare the consequences of your service department as well as staff for delaying my repair and not communicating with me in a timely manner while I waited. read more

I bought my used minivan in October of 2022 from Kuhio Auto. In April 2023 I brought it in for tire check. I had a slow leak in a rear tire since I purchased it, and thought I need new tires. That's what I told the Service Manager. A few hours later, Paul called and said the tires were in horrible condition. And, given I had only driven the van a few hundred miles since purchase, the tire condition must have been something they (Kuhio Auto) missed when I left with my new purchase. He said, they will be replacing all 4 tires for no charge! As a woman, I have had bad car service experience at the hands of dishonest mechanics that felt I knew nothing about cars and they could take advantage of that fact. It was so very refreshing that a car dealership would accept blame and more than make up for it. That is first rate service! Kuhio Auto has our business for life. Kuhio Auto Group is the worse car dealership they were deceitful just so they could make a sale on a car. Out if all the cars on that lot the salesperson told my coworker because of her credit she could only purchase a 2017 Chevy Malibu and she needed a co-signer. Yes it was my first time and my mistake on not knowing or getting a explanation on what the process of co-signing was I purchased a car for myself a week before from Servco which by the way is a 100 times better in customer service and I advised the sales person about it he said don't worry about it their just going to check. Now Im finding out they made the sales contract under my name and Im not even driving that Chevy Malibu now Im getting penalized for $500.00 that my coworker didn't pay for her deposit and was advised by Kauai Credit Adjusters she was told by Kuhio Motors the car is mine and I need to pay it. They will do anything to make a sale even lying under their teeth. Save tour money and do business with someone else. read more

Very scary incident from one the employee drivers if see smaller sized SUV license plate KDP 133 with Hispanic driver very short and skinny in statute with some facial hair be cautious as he purposefully tried to run us off the road then proceed to give us the good old middle finger and when we got to next light got out aggressively banging on our window trying to get us to fight. Waste of time. Kuhio offered to buy our vehicle which is listed for sale. We figured that there might be an ulterior motive but tried anyway. They took the vehicle and spent almost a full hour inspecting it. (It's not that big) and then offered low bluebook trade in value for the car. Non negotiable. Which was way below the private party blue book value of the vehicle. I understand that they are running a business and need to buy low and sell high, mark up vehicles to cover their costs and make a profit but why not just get vehicles at auction or trade-ins instead of wasting my time which I can't recover. I'm sure I could get that kind low ball offer on the mainland in like 10 minutes. The point is, they knew they were going to offer way way less than the private value of the car. and then spent forever going over it. If kuhio offers to buy ur listed vehicle know what you're getting into. If you need to unload your car quickly and don't want to deal with selling it and don't mind losing out on thousands of dollars it's worth it, if not It's a time sucker. read more

purchased an $11000 car signed contract saying final prices with the interest and everything final total price would be about $17000.... When in fact they did not tell me there will be an additional $7000 in the actual interest when they showed me on the paperwork all interest and taxes and sales were at the $17000 range and that was the final price!!! now I've been Paying off for 2 years I still owe the full price of the car and I'm told the final price was actually $23000 and not the $17000 that was originally signed. when trying to call back all they say is "well you signed the paperwork and you're stuck with it".... I would have NEVER purchased an $11000 car if I knew it was gonna be $23000 total in the end!!!! they are absolute shady thieves and they should not be able to be in business this way it's absolutely horrible that hard working people that have 2 and 3 jobs get taken advantage of so horribly by these auto groups and they know they can get away with it bc they have team of lawyers on their side to deal with it so no one who is a normal hardworking person can figure out a proper way to do anything about it so I'm stuck with this crappy car That is the price of something far better...I give 0 star rating but am forced to give 1 star....kuhio auto group should be on trial and I guarantee others are going through exactly the same. I bought a car, then when washing it,one of the tires had been "glued there's a gash in it ,I called the salesman  and he told me to come in, I did and they said its not covered so he brought the manager out ,we ended up getting into an argument, super weird ,the guy was a jerk ,the way he went about it was shocking .they also still have one of my keys  ($400) to replace, and they didn't set up my bluelink like they are supposed to,it took hours on the phone ,emails ,faxs, even the woman from bluelink  said it was up to the dealership to set it up  ,i called kuhio auto  several times to get my 2nd key and about the bluelink and was told  he was busy and would call back &didn't .really bad when they want to sell you a car and once it's done, their services are over . They really don't care and so now I bought a car and now have to replace 2 tires . Unbelievable the manager had such cocky  attitude! I even told him they lost a few customers  and he laughed .I will never buy a car from them again ! My daughter  went in with me to look ,so yes they did lose business. hard to believe they would treat a customer like this .raise his voice and be so rude . I will never buy a car from them again ,we have lived on island for 30 yrs and never have been treated this way. Very rude and lazy people. One positive comment is the guys in the service department are very nice . But still will never go there. read more

I went in with an appointment for a simple oil change and waited for two full hours for my car to be done, meanwhile I look out the window and my car is sitting in the front not even being worked on and the woman helping me refused to tell me whether or not it was done and ignored me for about 20 minutes. The woman I was assigned for help was NOT helpful, in fact she was rather snarky and generally seemed like she did not want to be there, not great for a customer service rep if you ask me. read more
