I scheduled a service for my car a month in advance and was asked if I would be waiting or leaving during the service. I replied leaving then when I went in at my scheduled time of 8:30am, I decided I would wait for my car cause I asked Ariel how long it would take. Ariel said about an hour and a half. So I decided to wait. Then Ariel said "well we have cars from yesterday to work on so she wouldn't know when they would be able to get around to my car. So I decided to be dropped off. Dave drove me home. Btw the only employee who has a personality and very helpful. Five (5) hours later at 1:30 pm, Ariel calls me to say my car is ready. Five frigging hrs later. Dang no wonder I've heard so many bad remarks about this business. So I was picked up by Dave and brought back to Destinations. I paid the bill with my cc and noticed that they charge a fee for paying your bill with a cc. I know it wasn't a huge amount but it's the principal of the fact. It should have been mentioned to the customer that using cc for payment will have a charge. By this time after waiting 5 hours and then finding hidden fees, give me a frigging break. I missed my visit with my grandchildren and lost half a day to do my errands. What a waste of time. I mentioned to Ariel that if she knew that there were cars from the day before that still needs to be worked on before they get to my car, she should have called me with the option of waiting all day for my service or to reschedule to another day. Ariel response was"i dont know what the guys are working on". I told her it's so easy and efficient to check the worksheets on the following days schedule. She needs training or just too lazy to check. Suggestion to the owner, send your front of the house workers to an etiquette class. We're on Kauai house, and when the battery died on our Mercedes Benz, my husband and I learned you can't just buy a battery and have it installed by an auto parts store for our car.  It has to be installed by an authorized service center, because it has a computer chip that has to be integrated with the microprocessors in the car.  Who knew? My husband called Marc at Destination Autoworks, where we get our car serviced.  Marc said they were so busy they had no openings all day.  My husband thought we would have to wait for another day to bring car there.  But then Marc asked if we had another car to drive until he could change our battery.  My husband said no, we have only the one car. Marc then asked us if we could bring the car in right away.  We said yes, because we just had a jump start from a roadside service tow truck.  It was lunch hour, and Marc had us in and out with a new battery in only thirty minutes. What great service!  We didn't even have to ask. Marc took the initiative to help us.  It seemed to us, it was more than just good service.  It was an expression of the aloha spirit as we live it here on Kaua'i. They scammed us so bad on pricing. We supplied oil and filter for oil change and they charged us $160. That means we paid $250 in total for an oil change. A dealership down the road charged a total of $99 for labor and supplies for our other vehicle. I do not recommend Destination Autoworks. read more

Had a family member bring her car here after her vehicle got broken into, gas siphoned, and fuel filler neck damaged before needing to get to work. These guys were able to replace the damaged filler neck in 25 minutes, which was great. However they charged her $247 in labor. For 25mins. They explained shop rate is $165/hr. Charging that high of rate, and adding on 3X the repair time is just shameful. No customer service or Aloha for repeat customers found here. So my mechanic brought it there because he too wanted to Lk now what it was that was wrong, so we fixed that problem, he found more things wrong, like $600 worth of stuff, did the job withou consulting us, which Is ILLEGAL!!!! I found out from my attorney. And charged us for it, so my total is up to 3700$. but here's the best part!!! They broke my AC or did something, because now it's making a loud sound!! I think I would've noticed that before! LMFAO! when I picked it up I noticed and brought it to their attention and they said that we had brought it in there like that. And I know for a fact that it was not like that when I brought it in, called him out on it he had nothing to say and then they try to call my husband later to try to explain what was going on LIKE what I was saying wasn't Good Enough Because I'm A WOMAN! And he needed to talk to my husband! I wasn't having it ! These people are shady AF and I do not recommend them at all. I wish they took videos then you could see how crappy my AC sounds, like I said.. I would have noticed. I guess it's just hard to find businesses with integrity! read more

These guys are pathetic. Only reason they exist is cause there isn't much competition on this island for mechanics. You are at their mercy and they'll let you know it. They fixed my clutch in 6 months later it broke again they found a reason why it wasn't their fault that I have to investigate. Once I took my car back to them it took them about 3 months to get the part. I know other people that have had to wait longer. Now that I have been talking to more people around the island it turns out these guys have a terrible reputation of doing that and scamming people. Let's just say they did the best they could and never lied about any of the clutch parts... Even then I would not recommend this place. their customer service is horrible and mark the owner is a hot head he got crazy with me on the phone a few times when I was just asking about my car that they had had for months. The best shop on Kauai, they stay busy but the owner does an excellent job communicating and has gone above and beyond fitting me into the schedule and pinpointing the problems my Mini has with and without the use of a code scanner. I cannot imagine you are certified to do anything there by your massive failure to do my simple oil change correctly. THEY changed the oil in our truck. NOT!!!! A few days later when oil was checked, it was only obvious it had not been changed! This is the only certified place on this island to get my car serviced. When I brought it in originally, just for regular service, that was prepaid, noting was wrong with my car. I go to leave to clean the windshield, cause they topped off the fluids, and nothing came out. So, I went back in, a mechanic came and took a look and Saudi"see that water dripping, that hose is dry rotted." So, I go back in to explain it was working fine before I brought it in, they took it back in the shop, brought it back out and said it was a big air bubble in the hose. So, how does it go from being dry rot to an air bubble?? So, I had a blown fuse and a piece broken off my visor, the manager Mark said he would place the order for it. I came back to the shop 2 weeks later, to check on the order and was told my parts were on back order, yet no one called to let me know. That's what customer service is all about, keeping the customer informed. So, I called Mercedes on Oahu, spoke to parts department, and there was NEVER an order placed for my car. And, I called destination auto back, spoke to mark the manager and asked him why i was being lied to?? All mark did was try to over talk me, and yell, and bully me. He said he would call Oahu Mercedes and find out what's going on, and would call me right back. I'm still waiting for that phone call. Now, I'm sitting here, since 820, was told first come, first serve, it is now 11 and 3 customers that came in after me have already left. Mine was a simple fuse and visor replacement. This place is a joke and seriously needs to have there certification for working on Mercedes taken away. Or either get rid of mark, the so called manager, cause he is the one who treats me terribly, no respect, or customer service from him, EVER. read more
