***Main Problem: Do Not Purchase Gift Certificates! 1) Not a good feeling for the person who purchased Gift Certificates for my grandparents and was shorted on their money spent. Aloha Massage does not follow through with Gift Certificates time allotted for. From the beginning of scheduling the appt to prior to the session I have explained what the Gift Certificates are exactly for and the length of the session for two. A total of ×4 times I received confirmation from her with understanding. But when we were done the session was shortened by 15 minutes. Right before we left we waited to speak with Owner Angela and I informed her the concern of our session finishing quite early. Angela's response: ohhhhh I'm sorry I thought it was for 60 minutes, the therapists should have known to stay longer. First, I had given her the Gift Certificates prior to entering for our session. Secondly, I had her confirm by visually looking at the GC prior to our session. Thirdly, she is the Owner and should have translated to the Therapist for the time allotted for. We had given her our therapist tips since we have not seen them after we got dressed and her solution was to give us back their tip. Again, taking someone's tip back who worked on us wasn't right either. 2) During our session of getting massaged we could hear the other customers who's also getting massaged as well. What should have been therapeutic for us turned into hearing different voices and slapping. Although we were in a room we walked out to a nearly naked woman on the massage chair in the open as we were walking out. There are no roofing so sounds travel easily and loudly. Both of my boys and my daughter in law got massages and all of us were very satisfied. I myself went to school to become a massage therapist and they use the same modalities I was taught, but also added in their own touch. If I could give them 10 stars I would. We all received a 60 minute massage that included oil, with full body massage, hot rocks, and at the end we got to choose either a hand or foot scrub. I chose the foot of course. The pressure was perfect and my therapist checked in to make sure I was enjoying it as did the other therapist with my family. A must when visiting. My friend and I just wanted to get a foot massage. She's a nurse and I'm a teacher, so you can imagine we're always on our feet. I really enjoyed the fact that this place is open late because we were able to go after work. The facility was very clean. When you first walk in, the check in will be to the left and waiting area to the right. As you walk further through, there are at least 8 open massage tables. If you don't mind getting a massage with 7 others around you, then you're good. However, if you'd like a more quiet experience they have a private room too. They were having a special, so although we were just supposed to get out feet done, we decided to get the body massage. The body massage is dry, so don't worry about changing. My experience was great. Started out by soaking my feet and went into the massage. They used some sort of hot mask on my feet and legs. That felt pretty good. When my lady moved to my back she was really working in on my left shoulder and I thought "Dear Lord, she gonna pop my shoulder!" But then my shoulder ended up cracking and it relieved so much pressure!!!! After that, I felt AWESOME. I guess when massaging your feet they can tell what other places on your body needs more work. So I assume that's how she knew my shoulder needed more attention. They give you water at the end to keep you hydrated. Really good experience. I'd go back for sure. read more

First of all, they did not ask me if I prefer a male or female therapist. I always prefer a female therapist since they tend to be more gentle. They gave me a male therapist while I was already on the table. He did not ask about any pressure and when I groaned on the pressure, he didn't seem to acknowlege or ask about it. I don't think he spoke English very well or knew about communicating to clients while giving a massage. Therefore, it was not relaxing or enjoyable as he kept kneading me like a I was a foot thick pizza dough!! I gave 3 stars to be polite, but I really came out more sore than relax at the end of the session. I'll likely not come to this spa again. There are many choices availalble in the area. read more

I have been to many many many massage therapists and I have never experienced such pleasure when it came to a massage before in my life. What an amazing and healing experience. I used the Groupon for the couples massage and wow, what a steal. My boyfriend and I have never reached nirvana like that! They mostly paid attention to our backs and shoulders they got out every knot that has been stuck there since highschool puberty. This was my second visit to Aloha Massage Spa, located on the second floor of the Mc Cully Shopping center next to Legends Chinese. They usually have free ample parking. The receptionist usually greets you at the door & escorts you into their massage area. I usually get a one hour foot reflexology- which comes with a mini shoulder & neck massage. Came here after having dinner at a Sushi Bar a couple doors away. We got a 30 min foot massage just to try it out. We were in a big room with about 6 lounge chairs that lay flat. They soak your feet in hot water for about 5 minutes then dry them before beginning the massage. My masseuse had strong hands and really got my blood circulating in my legs and feet. I clicked on their ad on FB marketplace and booked an appointment. For the price, it's easy to overlook the spartan surroundings and noise of Waikiki in the background. Kamaaina get a discount (which helps to pay for Waikiki parking) which is nice for a change. The massage was a 7.5 on a scale of 1-10. Because the lower price is for a massage from a student. I felt like she was afraid to use too much pressure. But I told her it was okay. After that it got better. I think I actually dozed off so that's a sign of a relaxing massage. At first the owner Angela had a nice and warm greeting but in the end when it came for paying she asked how much do I want to tip I said $20 on $145 now keep in mind I am also a owner of a spa and her answer was for 3 hours $20? I said yes $20! She was confused like okay it was 3 hours and only $20. How about you pay the workers more Angela and quit being stingy with the money! Independent contractors and anyone who works for spas and salons like this only get a small commission rate anywhere from 10%-55% commission but with Angela's prices I'm sure it's 30% or less. Now on to the massage it was very painful in the beginning didn't ask what to focus on, what the pressure was and not even a how are you feeling today? He went straight into the massage for 2 hours he did all the back side and 2 minutes the front. Then I heard snoring since there was a curtain in my room and my masseuse was sitting and massaging me and put his oil bottle next to my shoulder which I can feel. Hit my ribs hit my boney areas! This masseuse did not have experience with reflexology they don't do that just foot massage a very bad one at that so he does not know pressure points he hurt me with his thumb kept using his thumb on one spot of my foot I told him hold for 10 seconds then move on, he still didn't understand kept using his thumb and my feet started sweating oh boy was I not happy. Massage 2/5 Service 3/5 Won't be back! Look at the recent reviews there very bad. Angela please train your staff and leave not to demand a higher tip. Dirty and uncomfortable & awkward, got the couples massage. they confirmed and when we got there 2 men had us strip down to the undies, and then was going to start massaging us, I said I prefer a women for myself please but they said there was no one available so I asked to cancel, magically a women comes in... and we start, it was loud around 8:30pm there were definitely illegal things going on in the next room, even though it was the last thing on our list to relax after walking around Waikiki all day, sadly they didn't do feet? He seems really experienced on deep tissue and sports massage. He was able to find all my sore spots without I uttering a word. I have had a lot of massages from different masseuses. He is one of the best who can identify the sciatic acupuncture points and work the kinks out of them. I am pleasantly surprised. I visited the spa during COVID. The place is clean and cool. Both masseuses wore masks. Angela, the boss lady handed us sanitized wipes before and after the massage. We will definitely be going back for another visit soon. read more

Wow!! I've been to 5 different massage parlors and this one takes the cake. My feet are always killing me after being on them practically all day, standing, walking and climbing stairs constantly. The past month I've been taking small steps because of the pain in both of my feet. I was in the area and needed to kill some time so I searched "foot massage" on Yelp and came across this place. Which I am very grateful I did . Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly lady who took me behind the sliding doors. I sat in the open area in front but there were more rooms in the back (probably for the couples or private). My masseuse was a man that brought in a warm bucket of water to soak my feet in. While my feet were soaking he started massaging my shoulders, neck and arms which I didn't expect since the other places didn't do it. After a good 5-10min of that, he had me lay down and then the magic began. He started massaging my feet and my head started tingling ‍. A few times I caught myself waking up from my snoring (how embarrassing) . Anyways at the end of our session I was so sad and wanted to pay for another 30min but I had to go. Overall this massage is well worth the $45/hr, I am definitely coming back again. I'm doing circle motions with my feet as I type this because I'm in shock at how much this really helped! Wonderful experience! I did a bit of research before choosing a spot, and I'm so glad I chose Aloha Massage. My grandmother, who is close to 90 years old, is going through chemo and has been having a hard time with her back and legs. We don't usually go out a lot but my family wanted to do something nice for her. I found them on Groupon and the deal was totally worth it! I called beforehand to schedule an appointment, which was easy and they had time open when we wanted to go. They had lots of parking, an elevator to the second floor, and were really accommodating with her wheelchair. It was so nice to hear my grandma say things like "oh this is so soothing" and "that feels good." They were also super understanding when she had to use the bathroom (which is a lot now haha). 100% the best massage I've ever had! I had a couples massage with my husband, it was a great massage. It was my husband's first time ever getting a professional massage so he was nervous, but he said it was an amazing first experience. The second we walked in the receptionist was kind, warm and friendly. She took our temperatures and showed us to our room, once we were ready to go they came in and started right away. They asked the pressure we wanted and accommodated well. The sheets smelled as though they were infused with essential oils which was super nice! At the end of our massage we were given chocolates and water to take with us. I was in town visiting a friend and wanted a massage at a place within walking distance from where I was staying. I knew nothing about Aloha Massage but took a chance anyway. I was so pleasantly surprised by my experience. I was able to get an appointment as a walk-in. The front desk ladies were super friendly and accommodating. My therapist was excellent. I prefer a strong massage and my therapist did not disappoint. Coming from the northeast where massages are a luxury due to their high price, I could not be more satisfied with Alhoa Massage.
