My therapist was Yuki! She was amazing! She started my foot massage outside in the main room and although it's open, is very very relaxing. After my foot massage I selected for a private body massage in a room where I was instructed to remove my clothing but leave on my underwear. Let's just say YUKI did her thang! It may seem a little loud from the outside with the large neon massage sign but trust me this place is legit! They have ample parking in front the entrance to park is on young street. They are open from 9a-10p which is so convenient to stop in for an evening massage after a long day. I usually get the 70min special for $65 which is 30 min foot massage and 40 min full body. They have other massage options available and massage rooms. If you go for a foot massage you will sit in a large relaxing room on a comfy massage chair that reclines all the way down. Recommend wearing comfortable shorts or pants, no skirt or shorts dresses for ladies. They will put a sheet over you though to massage you. Its very clean and professional. Massage in Honolulu, Hawaii... After dinner, I asked my friend where we should go for dessert. We had already had a complimentary dessert at the restaurant, and my friend is on a diet anyway. I then suggested a massage instead of dessert because I know she goes often. She agreed! I told her that Massage Palace II on Keeaumoku Street (the first location is at Ala Moana Center) has a Groupon. We checked the Groupon app and saw that there was a Couples Massage deal. I called and they were able to take us! I mentioned that we saw the Groupon offer. The receptionist said she could "price match" it. Ok! We didn't need to purchase the Groupon deal. We entered the free, shared parking lot from Young Street and parked easily. Upon entering the business, we checked in with the friendly receptionist (she had called and texted to confirm) and told her that we could pay cash. The tax would be included in the $119 service. We were led to the dimly lit room where I asked to use the restroom. It's towards the front, through a door, and down the hallway. It was clean and safe! My friend and I laid facedown on the massage table and later turned over (face up). (Our clothes and belongings were in a basket in the corner.) My technician put her whole weight on my back. At times, it was painful. I feel bruised today... haha! I see a bruise on the palm of my hand! LOL! It was okay. Hot stones were used on my back. I felt like she was scratching my scalp, then put pressure on my face. I felt some neck and shoulder work. The feet and legs were briefly done. Afterward, I saw the Yelp check-in offer. Shucks. However, my friend doesn't use the Yelp app... By the way - my friend had a male technician - she thought he would use more pressure on her... maybe she should have asked? That's what my muscles were saying and riddance to the tense stressed out fatigued feeling I've built up and with various special you have options to treat the areas that need a bit of care. Though one of the reasons that I do love this place is they're not afraid to apply pressure so be sure to let them know the pressure you desire. I did have a bit of a wait which the reception had inform me upon arrival and I didn't mind as she escorted me to a chair which got me to relax a bit as I got my feet soaked. He immediately pinpointed my problem area and did work on that a bit more which was great but left me a bit sore the next day but knowing it was something that I really needed is still a good thing since he broke a bit of a barrier for some much needed relief. This is my second time coming here. The first time I came about a year ago for a foot massage. One of my foot was in excruciating pain from plantar fasciitis. They didn't understand that and the massage was super hard that I felt like I was gonna cry during and afterwards. It was not relaxing at all. This time I gave it a second chance with doing the 30 minute head neck and shoulder massage. I would say about 95% of the time the massage was super hard and once again made me feel so tense and not relaxed at all. It was like he was trying to beat me up. I had left shoulder pain for the last couple months but did not say anything when I went in. Given that I just wanted the head neck and shoulder massage I was surprised that he was doing my back, buttock and legs as well. I thought maybe they're all connected but I was not in need of a full body massage. Again, all those areas were done super hard and uncomfortable. I also did not get any head massage at all. I will say, I was able to lift my arm that was giving me some pain better afterwards but the entire massage was excruciatingly painful - like digging into me. I did notify the lady as I was paying that I did not even receive a head massage and that he did my back and legs which I did not request. She said she would let him know about me not getting the head massage. At that point, I don't think I would've even wanted it considering he used the same pressure for all parts of my body which was extremely painful. it's a shame because I really wanted a relaxing massage like other spas. Considering I was in the area and I knew I didn't have to make an appointment, I gave them a second chance. I don't know if a 3rd would happen. read more

(The old Champs or Lola's) Super easy to make an appointment online or over the phone and it's such a relaxing experience. Pros: - Easy to make a reservation online. - Great combo deals for a foot massage and a body massage. (I would be happy with just a foot massage, so the rest is just nice to have) - I found a great MT that just know how to work my neck and shoulders, and that's what keeps me coming back for more! Cons: - It can be hard to fully zone out when you can hear conversations and such but nothing that bad where it kills the relaxation vibe. - Parking can get tough when my two favorite restaurants get busy but I've been lucky so far.. maybe just gotta find the right time or be okay with street parking on young street. - It can get a little cold but they cover you and try to keep you warm with the massage and stuff - but I'd rather it be cold than hot.
