If this is what customer service looks like, then America, you're doomed. I was there to get my eye brows waxed and cleaned. The technician was the same Asian lady who I spoke on the phone to get the appointment who was at the front desk and who also works at the cash register. Possibly the owner because she was very entitled. When we started the session I told her I didn't want to get the eye brows waxed too thin. So she proceeded to wax them and I was done in 3 minutes. I checked in the mirror and saw the area around the brows were still very untidy with random brows that weren't cleaned out properly. So I asked her very politely to clean it up a little more so it looked neat. That's when shit hit the cleaning. This lady started yelling and lecturing me on how I should've just let her do her job and not tell her what to do etc. At first I thought there were a communication problem so I just requested her to clean up a little more again very politely. She went on to vigorously pluck each and every brow in the untidy area with a tweezer without regard for me as a person. It was a very aggressive act. I told her to go slow down as it was hurting, but she didn't stop and continued to inflict pain purposely poking the tweezer in my skin, being extremely rough, causing pain At that point I realized she was only going to hurt me more because she wasn't stopping. My skin was immediately red, was burning, and I was in tears from this very rude act. I don't understand what I did to trigger her so much but it was dangerous. So I had to just get up from the laying down position to get her to stop while one eye brow still needed work. She stopped and did not even look at me, did not even finish with the session, threw her materials in a tray and angrily walked out. Extremely crazy behavior. I felt so hurt and humiliated that another human can be so rude and purposely hurt you for such a small reason. I couldn't stop the tears from flowing out immediately. I walked out in tears, quietly just paid the $12 for the half assed painful session and left in shock and sadness. She didn't look at me, speak to me or apologized. What a sad state of affairs. I began coming here after covid as I didn't mind spending a bit more money for a very clean nail salon. The mani/pedi is good (not amazing but better than average). It is not the place for you if you need to make an appointment. I am a working mom and have a huge issue with making appointments and the manicurist not being close to finishing up with the previous client. I can't wait for 30 minutes and the woman at the desk is always very rude to me when I flag that the manicurist is running at least 20-30 late from the time I made an appointment. This was a bit of a groundbreaking experience for me so I thought it warranted a big review. I haven't gotten a chance to go to the salon since COVID, but I'm so glad I went out of my comfort zone and treated myself to a gel mani pedi. It was a great experience all around! The staff were super friendly, helpful, and willing to listen to your needs. The salon was very clean and I felt comfortable with my mask on at a socially distanced station away from too many other customers. The interior is also nicely decorated and felt relaxing and luxurious (just how you should feel when you're getting worked on!!) . I went to get my first manicure/pedicure in a very long time. I splurged on the expensive pedicure. My callouses are gone which was one goal but the shaping and polish job are horrendous. She cut my fingernails very short, barely shaped them and did a very sloppy polish job. As a working mom, it's very hard to find time to polish my nails but I'm going to have to because I can't stand looking at the sloppy polish that I have right now. I booked a massage at a special rate with a women masseuse when I arrived I was asked if a male masseuse was ok, no I booked the special massage with a female; ok come this way. Which massage do you want $99 no I booked the $69 massage do you have the coupon no I didnt think I needed the coupon oh you cant get for $69, $85 back and forth she left and went out of the room. I indicated when she came back I didnt feel comfortable with the back and forth we can stop now I could leave. No ok, so I assumed the service was being provided at the rate booked. I am not one to give negative reviews, but from what I have gathered, Aloha Salon is a high end nail salon and it is most definitely not cheap so I believe they should be held up to high standards. I went here for the first time about 3 weeks ago and I had a young girl who was very attentive, took her time and gave me an amazing pedicure and SNS manicure. Since I had such a good experience the first time I decided to try it again a few days ago and unfortunately I did not have a great experience. The woman who took care of me filled up the foot bath with literal cold water and when I put my feet in and told her it was cold she just turned the faucet on and added warm water to the cold water instead of draining it and re filling with hot water. So off the bat I was a bit bothered because I love that part of a pedicure. Then as she was filing and clipping my nails she cut my nail bed on my big toe and it started bleeding and she just looked at me and said "sorry" and didn't do a thing about it just continued like it never happened. She then cut my toe nails so short that it hurt to the touch because they were so short. The SNS manicure was 10x better the first time I went. One of my nails have already cracked and they just do not look nearly as good as when I went here the first time. I am attaching a picture of my current nails and my last set. The pink is what I have now, which I already know will not last as long as it should because it was poorly done. The blue sparkle set was done perfectly and lasted me weeks and weeks without chipping. I believe this nail salon should hold their workers to the high standards that they are supposed to provide. read more

I went to get a gel manicure there that was advertised for $20 - after crappy service (they made me get my manicure WHILE I was getting my pedicure, a fire hazard to say the least when it comes to gel manicures), shoddy workmanship and then being charged more than what was advertised, my nails look like crap after less than 1 week and it is supposed to last for 2 - 3 weeks. Hello, I recently went to this nail salon with my friend Sarah. I was not impressed. I asked for a pedicure and a Fill in because my usual nail salon was packed and couldn't fit me in today. They filled my nails so much when I left they were so thin. And with my pedicure, they made me bleed and scrubbed my feet super hard. There prices were also outrageous!! For a full in with the UV nail polish is over $100!That is without my pedicure. With the pedicure too it is almost 160 ( including tips ) When I saw my bill, I almost passed out! They also tried making me get extra stuff like a special pedicure with mud or something. Honestly the prices were outrageous and the people were very clingy! They kept wanting me to promote there website and post it on my instagram. In there dreams !! But to be serious, my nails looked so bad and since they were so thin, they all feel off after a week. I have been a loyal customer for 2 years and will no longer be returning!! I got an sns manicure and in less than 24 hours my nails were cracked and chipped! I was on the plane leaving for vacation so there was nothing I could do about it. By the 3rd day all of the sns manicure was off. This is supposed to last 2-3 weeks and within 3 days it was gone. I was super upset and as soon as I returned home I called them and the woman was so rude. She said I should have called or come in right away. I explained to her I was away and unable to come in and she didn't believe me. I told her I took pictures, which I did, and she still was being rude. She said "what do you want me to do" And I said anything and she replied "well you shouldve called sooner, its 10 days now" They have lost a loyal customer and all the people I have referred to them. I don't know if they are under new management or not because the usual woman that runs it was not there. They were horrible gave me one coat of polish on one nail and then three coats on another nail. They kept laughing at me and when I got my eyebrows waxed the woman dropped a bunch of wax onto my eyelash and my eyelashes were then ripped out. Place is super clean. However, prices certainly high. I had a poor experience and wasn't offered any kind of discount or anything which is very poor service. I was getting a pedicure when the employee accidentally turned on the water to fill the tub, which she had accidentally put on backwards leading to the water to come out full force directly at me. The nozzle even says do not remove when running to explain the amount of water I became drenched with. The employee panic froze and the water ran for a good 2 minute. I was drenched sitting in a pool of water unable to get out immediately due to the chair arm and plexi glass. Multiple women were handing me hand towels apologizing as I attempted to dry off. After spending at least 5 minutes trying to dry myself, I sat back down with soaked pants to finish my pedicure. The employee rushed and finished 5 minutes before the two people I was with even though we started together and had the whole fiasco. I was the charged the full $45 for a regular mani pedi! Insane!!!! They didn't even give me the massage everyone normally gets! I also heard her tell the owner "I charged her normal." Seriously?! Says it all that they know they did the wrong thing. This is an overpriced run of the mill nail place. False advertising lures you in for an $18 mani/pedi and when you are finished they tell you that it is $30! The banner outside says $18 before 2:00.There is nothing about mon.thru Wed. So when you are finished and they present you with the bill you get the surprise at the end. "oh no that is Monday thru Wednesday". Hmmmm------ I would call that false advertising.I tried to talk to them and did not get a positive result.
