Place was sold to new ownership and I gave them a try and it is not what it was. My nails are broken when they were usually perfect for 4 weeks straight. They use cheap china brands now no more cnd gel and fake gel-x and prices the same. This place has gone down hill sorry to say! read more

Idk why there's so many mixed reviews, I've been here twice, once for gel and another a regular manicure. They were the least expensive, I was out for both in under an hour and they looked great and lasted. They prefer u tip in cash and don't take Amex but both are pretty normal. read more

friend's recommendation I tried life nails. very happy with regular manicures but when I went for a mani pedi it was very rushed. When told mani pedis were only 25. I understood why she had to get me in and out quickly! Not until I got home did I look at my credit card receipt and it was for $40. Not $25. I went back to show that my receipt was for wrong amount and girl in charge said I was wrong, receipt was for correct amount When I asked why I was told it was $25. They have set the place up really well with screens and the entire time I was there the specialists who were not with clients were cleaning. They will not see you if you are not wearing a mask. In addition to that, the service is great! The manager/receptionist is prompt and friendly. I got the jelly spa pedicure which although expensive ($45), it was so fun! The jelly feels amazing and it is what my feet needed so desperately!! It also included a 10 minute massage which was actually TIMED with a timer which gained my trust. I did not get a manicure because I'm currently working on a vegetable garden and have two puppies so It would probably just be wasted but I may come back to get one later. I've been coming for the last couple of years and always really enjoyed my experience but lately on my last couple of visits I just look around and it just looks dirty and ratty. Everything's got tears and holes in it and it doesn't look like they wipe the place down at night anymore. I don't know but I'm guessing they have new management as the gentleman who was always at the front desk is no longer there and much of the staff is different too. Originally picked this spot based off of their pictures and the bar amenity. We shortly figured out upon walking in that it was not what they were marketing online. They do not offer champagne/mimosas or any bar beverage for that matter. The nail techs did not seem to know what they were doing and my person in particular had a very bad attitude. I've had my nails done for 10+ years and I've never experienced the technique she was using. My nails are now broken and brittle. I had a very good experience. A very thorough pedi, including at least a lot of attention to my calluses...not completely fixed, but not sure that was possible in one visit. Also a beautiful job shaping my nails for the mani. I read the other reviews and was worried! I agree that the decor is really peaceful and well done. Just before the shelter in place (covid quarantine) i got my nails done. This was now over two weeks ago and my gel nails are flawless (despite sooooo much handwashing and hand sanitizer). The gel hasnt chipped anywhere! Of course they are growing out but i chose a color that wouldnt be too noticeable! The place was clean and they offered me something to drink! i had to go here instead of my regular salon recently, and the overall experience wasn't great. the people working there were super nice, but as the woman was doing my nails, she left polish on them, made my cuticles bleed, left gel all over my skin (my skin was completely glued to the side of my nail), and the french nails were all sloppy and asymmetrical. the actual place is so nice on the inside; very clean, decorated well, etc, but i wish that my nails came out better. the price for a gel manicure was also $10 more than my other salon charges for half of the quality. read more

I read some of the negative reviews so I was hesitant to try the place at first but I think any new business is going to be a little disorganized in the beginning and should be cut some slack for it. Terrible product. Do not come here if you want your nails chipping in less than 2 days! I got a gel manicure it was first time coming here, and the color chipped in two days! I would of went back and demanded a refund but I was on vacation! The color of the polish I got also changed colors. Polish shouldn't discolor in two days. I've been to a few different nail salons in the Northport area, this one is definitely unique. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I got the uv gel manicure and a spa pedicure. As you are relaxing you are offered a drink. Not just only wine, their is water, soda, coffee and juice. The atmosphere has a high end feel. You also receive a vip card. Each time you go they will scan it and you will receive a special offer, for example 5 dollars off your next visit. A place worth checking out for sure if you live in the area. read more

I'm shocked by the bad reviews. The only reason I gave 4 & not 5 stars is because it was my first time and I'll need more visits to judge it 100%. The fact that they offer free wine, soda, coffee and tea is just a bonus. The salon is extremely clean and beautifully decorated. It looks like a high end spa but the prices are extremely reasonable. I had a spa pedicure that was reasonably priced and involved a 10 min massage which is the best part! A lot of other places offer spa pedis that are way overpriced and filled with nonsense procedures simply to justify the high price tag. Don't come here! Atmosphere was really nice and everything was clean however not one worker (not even the owner) knew what they were doing. When we walked in the owner didn't know which colors were powder gel and had to ask one of his employees. His employee didn't know either because she showed us regular gel colors and so we picked a regular gel color without knowing. She then realized she gave us the wrong colors to choose from for powder and we had to repick our colors. When we picked a powder color she went to get it and told us sometimes they can't find colors so she mixed two colors together and told us it would look the same as the color we wanted it. It turned out to be nothing like the color we picked out. My pedicure lady did not know how to take off my powder manicure and another lady had to do it. She was very rough and filed my skin. read more

By far the worst and most expensive powder gel manicure ever. Two nails chipped after one week. After making another trip to the salon to have the nails fixed, another one chipped a week later. I have in the past gone six weeks without chipping a nail from powder gel manicures from other salons. I gave it a try but will definitely not be going back and do not recommend. Once I came to Life I stopped looking. Clean, friendly, and accommodating. Honestly I really enjoy the service at Life Nail Bar. I've never had to wait long and they are helpful. Unfortunately, i got my nails done THREE days ago and three of my nails have already peeled (i got UV color gel, perfect match brand). The polish bubbled and then peeled right off and underneath was like wet as if the gel didn't dry long enough. I'm disappointed cause I got my nails done expecting them to last past Christmas but it seems I may already need a touch up / to redo them. read more
