I had been going to this place for years, even travelled out of town for them at times. They have progressively gone downhill over the past 2 years. There are several techs not doing anything sitting around and you walk in and they want to schedule for an appointment much later in the day bc "this is a busy time". One client in the salon. I dont find myself to be a difficult client, i never complain, all of the ladies know me by name, and no matter what i have done (usually a regular pedicure and an eyebrow waxing) i always tip at least 20$. I think at this point they have forever lost me as a client, which is sad bc i have been loyal to them for over 15 years. read more

So, all these reviews are old! Let's give a more recent one. I just moved into the neighborhood and needed somewhere new to go. Went in, not busy and I went on Christmas Eve. They take your temperature and offer hand sanitizer. They have the clear partitions between you and the nail technicians. All of the staff are wearing their masks appropriately. I'm not going to lie, I was hesitant when I came out and all of a sudden my nails were seemingly still red from the powder gel but honestly a shower or two later and my nails look great. I do not have any complaints and for Christmas, I even got a little lotion. Very sweet ladies in there and I'll probably most likely be going back. They have gel and powder gel. Im happy! I stumbled upon this cute place. My pedicure was great albeit very expensive for the area ($53 with tip). I waited over an hour to put shoes on and nearly all my nails were ruined. Obviously the polish was old and would never dry. A nice experience ruined in the end. This salon is a rip off ...I've been there many times and the owner NEVER has a smile on her face and is very unwelcoming. I got powder gel soaked off and regular gel put on and they charged me $13 extra just for using a different gel (even though it's the exact same soaking process) but didn't even tell me until I was paying. The only reason why I came into this salon was because the one I always go to down the street was busy. The pedicure is $30 and where I usually go it's $23. The ladies did a good job on my mom and I but they worked as if they were in a rush. When my mom and I asked for our nails to be shorter, they were annoyed. I came across this place just driving down Jericho trying to find a salon cheap enough for me and a salon who actually does acrylic. It didn't happen until I came across this one. The front desk girl was very welcoming, she was nice. They charged $35 for a set, which was much cheaper than what I was finding. I sat with Kim, she does ONLY acrylic - so I was told. I came really late, which I didn't know they closed at 7:30 everyday, so two people were actually working on me a little later. They do take credit card, but if you include tip on your card, they charge 50 cents. They do have a TV for entertainment. It was so hot in there, which I told them and the man who works there was kind enough to bring over a fan for me. Great customer service! He also offered me a free 5 minute massage while I was sitting in the chair, super nice of him, too! The front desk receptionist gave me a card that you gain points each time you go there, and when that builds you get discounts. I think that's cool because I've never been to a salon that does that. I loved their selection of nail polishes. They have hundreds to select from, especially Essie! I would definitely come here again, they treated me really great. read more

Annie is the owner and a wonderful lady. they offer a lot of services. frank does the best pedicure and Annie does the best manicures and nails. they allow walk-ins which they will usually never turn away. The wait times vary. the best time to go is weekdays before 3 or 4. They are open everyday till 7:30pm except Sunday, they are closed. Prices are average for the area. the accept credit and debit cards, but you cannot put a tip on either of them. read more

after my first disappointing visit I was promptly contacted by a very nice woman named Grace I am not sure if she is the owner or a manager but either way she was so nice ... she had addressed all my concerns about my last visit and welcomed me back to give the salon another try she wanted to make sure my experience there would be amazing and on top of it she had offered the re-visit complimentary! well I'm not a silly girl so of course I said yes. I had scheduled my appointment with her and I have to say I made so many changes with date and time I was annoying myself, but she never once was anything but super kind and accommodating to me, the day of my visit my step daughter wanted to come with me so I contacted Grace and asked if she could fit her in as well and of course I would pay for her visit ... and with her friendly attitude she put us both in.... We arrived for our apt and I was greeted with a warm welcome from Grace herself she had us pick out colors then we got started.. I had Vicky and my step daughter had Jay for her feet and Grace for her nails .. we both got amazingly fabulous service very thorough pedicure and manicure we were not rushed at all it was so relaxing ! we are both thrilled with our time there ! after my mani pedi Jay gave me the most amazing shoulder massage while my nails dried after my nails dried I asked to pay the bill and was so surprisingly told that there was no charge for my step daughter as well ... OMG what a treat this was .. they went above and beyond with the generosity and service I can't say enough kind words about them all ... I highly recommend this salon for anyone that wants a wonderful mani pedi and I for sure will be going back again my hands and feet look and feel great !! I am saddened to say I have just went to Biju for the last time. It used to be my go to place but now I will never go back. I have watched it little by little go downhill. Place needs major updates and upkeep, because frankly there is nothing in there. They must have changed owners because there used to be a younger girl that worked the desk and made appointments and she was more on top of things. My reason for leaving is the terrible pedicures. I used to live by their spa pedicure, then I realized it was nothing special at all for the price so I went to regular pedicures. Where to begin??? I made an appointment for an acrylic fill in and was on time for my appointment. After waiting 10 minutes in the chair the receptionist started working on my nails. Of course she suggested a new set, which I did not need. I was only a month into a new one. Of course they try to convince you to take them off (painful and time consuming-and of course out comes the dirty card for lifting off the old nails). I advised her, ROSA, that I have had nails for 30 years and I know what's needed. Just do the fill in! Of course they start whispering to each other and not talking to me. The newer owner used to be really nice, but now she barely smiles and is so cheap and didn't honor a mani/pedi gift card from Christmas (its only March 3) and charged me mote money because their prices went up. That will be stopping immediately, without fail every single time I come to this establishment without fail I am told it will be a 15-20 minute wait, and an hour later I am still waiting. This is the worst nail salon in the area!! I got a pedicure by Julie and she gave me major problems with my 2 big toes. I had to go to the podiatrist to relieve the pain. When I told the owner that I needed someone to help me with the Horrible pedicure she didn't care and Lily gave me an attitude when she was assigned to assist the day before I went to the doctor thought they could help, The place is strange no one speaks its like a place filled with dead people. What horrible owner they don't care about customers only money. Then I got gel there before the horrible pedicure same day and within 3 days it was peeling off on 3 nails. This place is under a new management. I come all the way here from Jericho because I know that Suzanne is the best person to go to when you want to get your nails done perfectly. She's extremely meticulous, honest, and sensible. She used to work in Plainview area and I was willing to visit her store all the way in Cormack because she's really good. She'll help you choose the right colors, make sure the color is neatly brushed on and stays on for a long time. Bijou is very sanitary, friendly service, and they are very courteous. read more

Had a co worker recommend me to this location. First time coming in with my mom, I had a much older gentleman with glasses. Desk to the left. Absolutely so aggressive with my hands. Almost cut me fixing my cuticles. I've never felt so rushed in my life. This man was so rude and did not care after I told him. I was done in less than 15 minutes. There was no one else waiting after me & they still had 1 hour until closing. Will never come back here again.
