This was our first stop on the Farm Tour yesterday. As such, we didn't know what to expect. Friendly parking attendants guided us to an available spot in a very dusty field. From there, we were in for a walk on a very uneven paved trail among the pens of dozens of alpacas. Though the Farm Day event is billed as free, this venue requested a $5 donation per adult, with kids free. For your donation, you got to walk through the heart of their farm, taking in the views and the close ups of the alpacas. Most had been recently shorn, so they weren't very fluffy. They had a small crafts fair set up, with vendors mostly offering items made with alpaca yarn. From skeins of yarn to blankets, scarves, socks, and even mini alpaca Christmas ornaments, there was a wide variety. Several women demonstrated wool spinning. Selfies with two of their docile animals were also featured. All in all, I'd put this one on the been there, done that list. Still, it's interesting to note that there are several alpaca farms in the County, reflecting the ag diversity.

Cindy was so hospitable and welcoming as she gave us a tour of her beautiful alpaca farm! Cindy explained everything from what alpacas eat, the breeding process, her competition shows, how alpacas are sheared, apparel made from their fleece, etc. I definitely recommend this spot as we will surely be back! Cindy was awesome!

I love this place soooo much! The alpacas are very peaceful and super cute! I went on a open ranch day in September, the place was not crowded at all. The farm is laid out very well and there is a lot of space to walk around and watch the alpacas! They also have a gift store and some classes to learn knitting. Will definitely come here again on another open ranch day, really happy!

From the moment we arrived, everything felt so peaceful and welcoming. Getting to see the alpacas up close, feed them, and just spend time around them was absolutely magical. They are the sweetest, most gentle little fluff balls I literally fell in love. Each one has its own personality, and being able to interact with them made the whole experience feel so special and personal. It was such a unique way to celebrate my birthday, and it made Valentine's Day even more memorable. I truly had the best time and left with the biggest smile on my face. They completely stole my heart... so now I guess I'll just have to go back and get it! I already can't wait to visit again. If you're thinking about going do it. You won't regret it!

Amazing experience if you're in the Santa Barbara area…read more It's really just an hour of hanging out with alpacas. According to the owners, they had three different time slots, and each time slot had their own group of alpacas they could feed, so that was very thoughtful! The owners, in general, are friendly people. There's not much to do outside of hanging out with alpacas, so the owners will talk to you every now and then about the alpacas. The alpacas are very friendly but shy. Some will walk away from you unless you have food. We also got to feed a water buffalo and some goats. For a farm, this place is crazy clean too. Nice restroom. Place didn't smell terrible. One thing I was worried about was humane treatment of the animals, but honestly, the animals look very happy to be there. There is a cat roaming around freely too, so please be careful when driving to and from the farm.
