Cute place, friendly staff, not too expensive Priced at $7 a bundle, you get to cut 3 different types of lavender and someone wraps it for you. The guy was very nice and kept telling me and my mom that we could continue to cut more so we get the most out of a bundle. The field was a lot smaller than I expected but still very cute. The lavender bundle dries in about a week and smells so good!

Better than expected! This was one of the reasons why I wanted to be in Ojai for my birthday. Just to visit this fabulous smelling place, being able to pick your own bunch and just chill and enjoy the birds, the view of many flowers, pomegranate tree, fig trees...nature condensated in a small medium field. Very accessible from downtown Ojai yet secluded and intimate, there was nothing I did not like. The gift shop is so nicely decorateelr I told the owner I felt like I could live there. Oh and that captivating and soothing lavender smell will hunt you the whole day in a positive way! Very recommendable.

Great place to visit during lavender blooming season! Tons of flowers and fruit trees to check out. A must see on way to Ojai!

    Lavender! :)

Had a great time here! The owners are so sweet and friendly! So many beautiful Lavender here! The owners, they are husband and wife, they been growing for 15 years and been open to the pubic for 5 years. It is beautiful and organic, they have picnic tables and hammock on the field. They encourage you to bring a food picnic baskets, it is great way to spend some enjoyable time with the family. Great place for picture! They also have parasols that are awesome for photos! WARNING: They do not have restrooms because they are an organic farm. You can pick and make your own lavender bundle (4 types). It is $7 for a bundle (it smells amazing!). They can also make you a bundle for $8, if prefer to have the experts do it for you.

I came to Frog Creek Lavender Farm this season and had a great experience. It's only $7 for a bundle of lavender and you can pick from a variety of different kinds of lavender. They're also pretty generous on what a "bundle" actually is. I saw the owner, Larry, asking if he can add to a customer's bundle after seeing her bundle was a bit small. He also gives you tips on which kind are best to keep their vibrant color, to keep their scent, etc. It's been a few months since my visit and my flowers still have their color and scent. The husband and wife that run the place are super nice and friendly and more than willing to answer any questions. The farm was smaller than I expected it to be but it didn't really matter. There was plenty of lavender to pick from.

Stopping here is an absolute must to get the true experience of snipping your own lavender! It was the perfect addition to my friend's and my Lavender Festival weekend, and we left with two lovely bundles of multiple varieties of one of our favorite blooms! The little gift shop was very cute, and they had everything from lavender soaps to pre-bundled arrangements of lavender, for those who either didn't want to pick their own or wanted to save time and grab a bunch for decorating their home. Our only complaint was that there was no structure or organization at all to informing guests how to begin the lavender picking process. We stepped into the gift shop around 11am or so (note to self: get there as early as you can, as it will get extremely crowded), where people were bustling everywhere, and then walked outside to a shaded spot where there was a gentleman talking to a group of people. We then noticed the insanely long line of more people who stood with their lavender pickings, waiting for him to tie up their bundles. We walked back into the gift shop and asked how to begin. One of the women very kindly explained that her husband would give us the run-down on the different types of lavender and that he would tie up our bundle once we were done picking. We went back outside, got the gentleman's attention, and said we we were ready for our lavender lesson. He told us to browse around for about 5 minutes and then he would tell us more. We didn't see any reason why he couldn't quickly brief us on the four different types of lavender so that we could get on our merry way and begin picking, but we did as he suggested and wandered a few feet away in the blazing sun and then returned to where he was still chatting with others. We ended up just going out into the fields ourselves with baskets and scissors, instead of waiting for him to decide to speak with us. We picked our lavender and swapped bees away for a good while and then navigated through the even bigger crowd that had developed so that he could tie up our bundles. We paid $8 each once inside the gift shop, and we left feeling pretty satisfied, just slightly frustrated at the overall picking process.

Love frog creek farm! This is the second year in a row visiting! The property is beautiful! The owners are so fun to talk to. Will definitely be back again next year!

My God...if there was one thing that could keep me in the state of California, this lavender farm would be it, Yelp. I love this place SO MUCH, I'm gonna do something that I rarely do on Yelp... Write an update. Located right off the Ojai-Santa Paula Road (which runs between the cities of Ojai and Santa Paula), Christel and her husband have made a small farm into a wonderful little slice of Ojai heaven. You can pick your own lavender, drink lavender lemonade ($3), rest/swing on the small hammocks in the shade (pillows provided), peruse the small gift shop and buy all types of lavender products, pick your own peaches, pick your own sunflowers, bring a picnic basket and have a picnic under the shade... She has everything! I'm proud of her, I'm envious, I'm inspired. A bit jealous, but A LOT happy. Mixed emotions! I'm complicated. But MOST of all, I'm her biggest fan. Sometimes you never know how your purpose and your passions inspire other people. Thanks, Christel. I would love to do something like this one day. Probably serve up lavender scones and tea. Until then, you do it, Christel! CALL AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT BEFORE GOING! (CASH ONLY!!!!!!!)

My husband and I really did enjoy picking the lavender flowers. I think this is the only farm where one is allowed to pick them. The owners were really nice and responded promptly to my emails. I would definitely go back again.

Was visiting Ojai for the Lavender Festival. On the the way home stopped by to check out this farm...met the owner who was do nice and welcoming....had a great conversation about the different varieties of lavender and ideas for use from recipes to decorating. It may be a little difficult to find but the drive and views to get here are nice. I purchased a lavender bundle and hand crafted soap. *as someone said to me "you do know lavender us a weed"....so what it smells really good!

What a beautiful and relaxing place to come and pick your own lavender. I can tell the couple own this place this is their passion. The farm is on the small size but it's super charming, I drove from LA and totally worth it. If you plan to come hurry up because they only open for one more weekend July 13 and 14( They only open on the weekend) lavender season is short. There is no restroom at the farm, parking along the road, and don't forget to pickup your blueberries jam lavender, delicious!!!

It's located in a parking lot behind the main strip and in a residential area. All street parking but it tends to be pretty easy. There's a bakery vendors that I've had a few times but they do sell out quite fast. Their fresh baked bread and sweets are one not to be missed. This visit, they weren't there in their usual section so I assume they were pretty much sold out fast. Loads of fresh organic vendors with all their goods. As it was summer, there were so many vendors with amazing tomatoes. Heirlooms, grape tomatoes and so all. Everything all looked so fresh and I'm sure it was straight from the farm that morning. Also loads of other vendors selling their homemade goods, like soap to candles to everything in between. Majority of the vendors are fresh produce so you know you'll be picking up fresh farm products. Also fresh flowers are always a must when a visiting the farmers market. Can't forget the fresh berries and fruits. Doesn't scream summer without all the fresh berries straight of the plant. Regardless what you're looking for or not, I'm sure you'll always leave with plenty of fresh things at this market. Their items are always so fresh. A must whenever I'm Ojai. Prices are a bit more than Oxnard prices but I do think it's great to support local especially seeing the quality difference between local vendors and grocery stores. $13 for eggs still seems a bit steep for recovering from the egg hiked prices where they are now back to $6-7 in grocery stores. There was a vendor that sells sourdough breads and she was quite popular has she always had a line. Caroline's preservative jams are amazing in flavor and quality. I also appreciated that Centri Coffee was there so that I could buy some whole beans.

It gives you the freedom to taste everything at your own pace. You order the tasting first, then they give you a tray with delicious sourdough bread from a local bakery. The staff explained that the balsamic vinegars are imported, while all of their olive oils are produced in-house, except for the truffle oil since the local soil isn't suitable for growing truffles. After that, you head over to the tasting section where you can grab samplers of the olive oils and balsamic vinegars before finding a seat outside under the olive trees. The space itself is beautiful and peaceful. There were around 10 olive oils and 10 balsamic vinegars to try. My favorites were the TH (Tuscan Herbs) olive oil and the traditional balsamic. The flavored balsamics were interesting and fun to taste, though I still personally preferred the classic options. Overall, such a fun and worthwhile stop if you're in the Ojai area. Paid $20 for two people. Also, bonus points because they happily give extra sourdough bread if you need more :)
