All I know is I felt like I was at my cousin's house and they happened to have animals. There were no directions or explanations...until it came time to pay. Now that part was explained perfectly. Honestly, I probably could have seen the same thing at my local shelter and saved $30. I'm hoping the money goes toward helping the animals, but it's really hard to tell. They have goats, plenty of birds, llamas, pigs, and horses. I wouldn't call it a true petting zoo because most of the petting is done through a gate. If you want a horse ride, you have to ask. No one offers or tells you about it. Everything looked like it could use some updating or repairs, and the overall vibe from most of the staff was, "Please hurry up so we can get back to what we were doing." A couple of employees were pleasant and helpful, but they weren't going above and beyond. They simply gave us what we asked for. Overall, I probably won't be back. At least my $30 went toward helping the animals...I hope.

This is a hidden gem located in the heart of Davie, FL. We went here for a Cub Scout outing and the…read morekids loved it. They got to see the animals, feed them and play in the playground area. Of course the highlight was the seesaw. Haha. Maria Munoz is the owner and she is very sweet. Answered any questions for the adults or kids and allowed our group to take over the farm for a few hours. Tons of animals here...bunnies, goats, pigs, emus, horses, chickens and more. Admission is free but donations are always welcome! Please consider donating to help offset the cost of maintaining this farm. Come check out this place with your friends or family. Really just a cute farm. I honestly didn't even know this was here. It's located in a neighborhood. There is also a horse stable next to the farm, Showclass Stables. We had a great time and this visit to My Little Farm Davie helped the kids earn a loop for Cub Scouts. Woohoo!

Flamingo Gardens is one of our favorite places in South Florida. Honestly, I'd even call it a…read morepeacock garden because there are so many of them wandering freely throughout the property. I especially love visiting during the winter months when the weather is cooler. It's the perfect time to slow down, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and have a little picnic with the kids. There are plenty of peaceful spots to sit, relax, and watch the peacocks walking around. The grounds are always clean, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. When you buy your tickets, you can also purchase bird food. We fed both the flamingos and the peacocks, and while it was a fun experience, here's my little tip--don't feed the peacocks from your hand unless you're ready for a pretty strong peck! I learned that one the hard way. There is also a small café, guided tram tours, and on weekends they often have live music, especially in the evenings or during holiday events. Around Christmas, the gardens are beautifully decorated with lights, making the whole place feel even more magical. If you're looking for a relaxing day surrounded by nature, Flamingo Gardens is definitely worth a visit.

The tram runs every thirty mins, definitely suggest taking that- learned all about the park via tour guide. Upon checking in, there are bags of animal food for purchase. So fun for the kids to engage with the flamingos etc. The animals who are roaming free aren't actually part of the garden, they are wild. So get ready to see some amazing ducks, flamingos and peacocks roaming around. We loved seeing all the different birds, alligators etc.

While this park is small it has everything you need starting with a nice sized parking lot and one of Weston's excellent and clean public restrooms. In the center of the park there is a playground with shade covered seating. On the left side of the park next to the restroom is outdoor fitness equipment for adults including a pull-up/dip, squat press, and stretching station. On the right side of the park is a half basketball court and bike fix it station. Throughout the park is paved walkways, landscaping, and lighted walkways. My favorite part of the park is the beautiful plants and trees. Purple and white Crepe Myrtle trees in full bloom are planted throughout the park. A Weston park is always clean and meticulously landscaped making it an attractive recreational resource for anyone looking for a place for play or exercise.

I can't believe this place is free! What a gem…read more The miniature city is a must visit! A lot of the kids were riding bikes and scooters around when we visited. There are no shaded areas so plan to visit early in the morning or later in the afternoon. However, if you end up here right in the middle of the day, don't worry! Your kids will be excited to cool down at the adjacent water park- also free! In between the city and water park there is a nice mostly shaded playground. This was such a fun place to visit! There is a big mall within a 10 min drive so you can make this a day trip!
