Their workmanship was excellent and the owners were daily at the site making sure everything was being installed correctly. I am extremely happy with the roof itself and the way it was installed. What I was not happy about was the error in the contract in their addition that ended up costing me an additional $8000 that I was not expecting and to be honest had I known it was going to be $8000 more than the bottom line showed I probably would not have had this particular roof put on. I thought it was unprofessional that their contract was incorrect. I was advised by many people not to pay the additional money, that had I hired a lawyer I would not have been responsible for the extra amount because it was not the amount for which I signed. But I paid it because I felt that I was morally responsible because the correct amounts were listed they just weren't added correctly and so the bottom number was incorrect and I felt that I should've read the contract better and done the math myself instead of trusting them that their numbers were correct. My feeling was they should've eaten half of the $8000 for their error and I tried to get them to accept responsibility but they said they'd be losing money if I didn't pay the full $8000..... Yeah right, give me a break. So, the bottom line is.... Yes they did great work and they were nice guys to work with. I would just advise you to read everything and make sure you know what you're signing. Up until this bombshell that we owe an additional $8000 (and let me tell you that is a lot of money to us) the process was very enjoyable but this left a really bad taste in our mouth for the company and I would not recommend them because of it. read more

I can't speak highly enough of Alpha Rain and would be happy to be a reference. They installed a standing seam metal roof roughly a decade ago on my circa 1970's built home, and I love it. I say 1970's because with an addition on my home, the structure of the roof on that part is rather odd, likely not what you would have on a new build. There were no hidden costs or anything. Recently there were a couple of leaks (after a decade of the installation), likely a result of the pitch of my roof along one ridge and the direction of wind driven rain; or maybe because my house is cursed with problems in general. Even after that many years, Brandy was very responsive and fixed the issues promptly at no charge. In my experience, rarely (if ever) will a contractor do that. I see a few of the negative reviews and I have a very hard time believing that they are accurate. The workmanship was excellent and Brandy was/is very professional and respectful. If you want a metal roof, Alpha Rain is a top-notch company to do the work and rely on to address unforeseen problems. read more

These guys are pros! We contracted Alpha Rain to replace our leaky 120 year old standing seam roof. Out of the gate, I spoke with Brandy on the phone about our roof and I felt instantly comfortable that he knew what he was talking about regarding metal roofs. Brandy came out for a home visit and explained the products he uses in great detail and actually shows you how a metal roof is installed using a model. Something that no other company bothered to do but was quite informative. The sales pitch was not pushy, and the pricing was among the most affordable of quotes we received. After we chose to move forward with the roof replacement, they had someone out within a week to patch our existing leaks (there were many) until they were available for the full install. When the install date rolled around, we were guided through every step of the installation ahead of time including where they place their trailers and materials, how long it would take, how they clean up, etc. When the team arrived, they were very courteous and efficient. The roof was largely replaced in 2 days with some minor finishing work on a 3rd day. We are thrilled with the look of the roof and since the install, we've had a downpour and a couple snow days and no more leaks! I'd recommend Alpha Rain to anyone looking for a metal roof! read more

Alpha Rain Metal Roofing is outstanding!! They are all professional from the owner to his son, to the foreman and workers. They were on time and on budget...even starting our job a couple of weeks early. After interviewing at least a dozen roofing companies to replace the metal roof on our home built in 1912 I thought I wouldn't find a company I liked. I was looking ahead as our roof needed to be replaced and I wanted to know about how much it was going to cost so we could plan and save. I let all of them know it would be replaced in a year or so. Many of them insisted my husband be at our next meeting or my favorite was talk to you husband and tell us what his decision is. I advise those interested in a new roof not to hire Alpha Rain of Warrenton and/or Brandy Station, VA. I had a metal roof Installed July 2019 by Alpha Rain and I have been dealing with a leaky roof since July 2020. The difficulty is dealing with the arrogant, superiority attitude of Brandy Dysart. When I initially contacted him about the leak in July he confidently stated that his roofing and the workmanship would not leak. I reported to him that water was coming down one of the vent pipes. He explained to me that I needed to have a plumber fix a plumbing problem. I spent a month placing trays to investigate where the water was coming in at when it rained. I determined the water was coming in 'around' the vent pipe and not through it. After several calls he sent over the 'foreman' who had managed my roofing project. The foreman determined the skylight was allowing the water in and he said he sealed it. However, the leak continued. I called Brandy at the beginning of November and informed him rain was still coming into my house from the attic. He said with the Thanksgiving holiday it would not be until the beginning of December before he could get someone out. I called him back on December 10 and he then stated they wouldn't have time to come out until after Christmas. When I never heard back from him to schedule it, I called him back today, January 15th. During that call, Brandy became angry and stated the skylight was not under warranty. He became even more angry the longer he was on the phone. I attempted to remind him that in the original roofing project the roofing crew would determine the integrity of the skylight and whether or not to replace it (the contract gives Alpha Rain the option to replace or use the existing skylight as 'to be determined'). Further, the same foreman stated in August 2020 that he sealed the leak. The skylight was the source of water coming into my home. During my phone call on January 15th I allowed Brandy to vent. He was very condescending and elaborated that I am not a roofer and that I am not being reasonable with my expectation for him to get this leak resolved. Brandy could not get past his superiority as a roofer to understand that I have been dealing with water coming into my home through the summer and fall, and now the winter. This tasking has been in his domain since October and yet he vents his frustration for my unreasonable urgency? He should be well aware that I have never balked at paying for a new skylight. Toward the end of our phone discussion today, Brandy became very loud stating that I was making him angry. He indicated that he did not want to service me any further and said to get a different company to fix it. I attempted to tell him that I wanted to keep the resolution of the leaking of the roof all under one company. He stated it would be 4 more months out (after the already 3 months I had waited for him to call me to schedule and he didn't). I had to hang up because he was yelling so loudly and he would not give me a chance to speak. To reiterate - never choose Alpha Rain for your roofing needs. The lead person, Brandy Dysart, does not support the integrity of his company's work. Prior to hiring him to install a new roof, we had read some bad reviews about Alpha Rain but unfortunately we disregarded those. Our experience post-installation is 100% consistent with those bad reviews in which he refuses to take responsibility for problems associated with his company's work and his anger management issues. read more

The leak was identified by another roofing firm (and confirmed by the manufacturer of the metal panels) as a faulty installation by Alpha Rain. The crew failed to hook both sides of one of the panels. Had your firm evaluated the cause of the leak, you would have seen it as well. You stated you would fix it only if it was a faulty installation. Turns out it was. My rating and assessment of Alpha Rain stands. read more

I hired Brandy at Alpha Rain to replace my failing asphalt roof with a standing seam metal roof, including small sections of roof on front & back porches, and three skylights. The crew started on time, finished on time, cleaned up better than I would have cleaned up, and my roof looks amazing! I will be hiring Brandy again to install new gutters. Before finding Alpha Rain I wasted a lot of time getting estimates from roofers whose websites claimed that they installed metal roofs but when I wanted an estimate they'd only estimate for asphalt, they'd try talking me out of metal, and they told me metal was too expensive. The roofers that gave me estimates for metal were indeed too expensive. If you're installing a metal roof you owe it to yourself to call Alpha Rain. read more

Storm damage to our metal roof on our multi-story barn resulted in a total roof replacement job. No small task. Alpha Rain (Brandy and Paul Dysart) supported every stage of the process from the initial insurance process through to final completion of our new roof. After the storm hit, we quickly realized very few roofing companies in northern VA deliver quality metal roofs and even fewer really understand metal roofs especially on barns. Alpha Rain clearly showed themselves to possess a differentiating knowledge of metal roofs that several other roofing companies claimed but simply could not demonstrate or deliver (and yes, we actually drove around Northern VA to see a lot of roofs). Of equal importance was clear focus on customer satisfaction that always makes a world of difference throughout a project... because even the best projects can have challenges. On the actual working days the crew were extremely efficient and true professionals handling dynamic weather, cupolas installs, and multi-story barn challenges in stride leaving us with a clean work site and beautiful quality new roof on our barn. We flat out love it. We don't often leave reviews but in this case, it is well worth sharing to those who are considering installing/repairing a metal roof that you need a company that really knows specifically metal roofs and what they are doing. You should definitely call Alpha Rain (Brandy and Paul) and you may find, like we did, an experience that exceeds expectations. High-quality materials & installation, excellent service. We had an all-around positive experience getting a new metal roof from Alpha Rain and the Dysarts last summer (2015). I really appreciated their willingness to answer my many questions with thoughtful and researched answers. They don't take any shortcuts or try to sell you on cheap, less-durable snap-together roofing. I found it particularly interesting that Brandy Dysart has many years experience prior to starting this company assessing damages for FEMA and has seen which roofs failed and why. You can tell it really influenced how he approaches this line of work. This roof will last well past our lifetime, and then it can be recycled which I feel pretty darn good about. Plus we may be getting a tax credit on it, which is always nice. They estimated the time accurately and the team was very professional and even finished half a day early.
