We were greeted right away by nice young man Brody, who explained their pricing and where to find what we were describing. We found several rocks we liked from different stacks so I headed to get help. Brody saw me coming back and immediately came out of the office to offer assistance. We showed him the rocks we wanted and he tagged them and started loading them to be weighed. I was impressed at how efficient, skilled and safely he handled the big equipment. He had us weighed and loaded in no time. We were able to pay the $218 right there at the truck with his hand held device and we were on our way. Overall we were very impressed and the short drive across the river was well worth the savings. We priced out the same number of rocks in similar styles in Portland and the Portland suppliers were nearly twice what we paid here. If you're a dog person, there's added bonus (not related to Sundance) is that they are right next to a huge dog park that we weren't aware of so we were able to take our dog there for some fun afterwards too.

I also really appreciate that the guys running the shop are low pressure, and super honest. I hired a contractor to replace the hardwoods in my craftsman. I loved the floors but some of the areas were beyond repair and I didn't think it was really possible to just replace the damaged areas without it being obvious - these old floors have patina and natural wear, and I was sure they'd been sanded down numerous times. My contractors was sure he could do it, but said to check out the floors at Seaport in case I wanted to do a full replacement. The guys at Seaport were so technical with the specific sanders and stains and finishes, I can see why my contractor sent me here. I ended up going with the repair instead of a full replacement, and I am so thankful that they convinced me. They saved my 50+ year old floors, they look and feel incredible. They looked through photos of my floors and picked out unfinished boards that were not just the same oak type, but even had similar grain patterns for the replacement boards. These guys are true masters of their craft and champions of old-world quality. Craftsmen like guys at Seaport are the secrete magicians that keep the charm alive in old homes in Portland. And if you're in the market for a full replacement, they have samples of all of their floors, finished and unfinished, and a lot (a ton!!) of smaller swatch samples you can take home to see in your space and to show your contractor your stain choices. If you've gone to a big box store and felt some expensive hardwoods, do yourself a favor and stop by Seaport and really feel the quality difference. When you hold it in your hand, you will know, I can't explain it. Thank you Seaport!!

Those dilation eyedrops burn a bit, so be ready for that. That was the fun part. She gave my vision numbers correction quickly and patiently. Most importantly, she checked for any eye problems. None were found and my main reason for going here. She is very, very good at her job who also made it comfortable, informative and interesting. My ins covered all of that. A 5 if it was just her visit alone. The price for the glasses, unless you have ins coverage for that specifically, seemed exceptionally high with rather cheap looking frames. Lens grinding costs are probably the going rate. The sales dept folks' attitudes were all fair. They don't set the prices. Could be a high employee turnover area? You'll see why. Great for checking my eyes but buying the prescription glasses won't happen here. I only need readers, anyway. I nearly laughed at the quote. If I were a glasses wearer for life, maybe as a Kaiser member I'd pay for that added ins? Perhaps these guys are competitively priced with ins for that situation? Having reputable ins is usually better than none at all. But the "not covered in your plan" priced glasses seemed twice as high as any sale price private eye care store? Speaking of checking, your own ins plan coverage really makes all the difference here. Exam, glasses, etc. make sure what your ins covers. Most just cover the exam. The sales area is not there to lose money and I seriously doubt they care what you pay. A salesperson who makes few sales but must spend that much time "pitching" their product to every customer gives it that private eyecare company, no ins feel. And a little used car sales, too. If you want their glasses, get the extra ins. You can take your prescription anywhere with more reasonable prices, if you don't. The other reviews about overpaying, taken advantage of sadly doesn't surprise me. Why sales won't tell you first what coverage you have for eyewear is a little hinky.
