My neighbors (6 total) all used The Final Touch roofing and I did not. I went with a slightly cheaper roofing company and was disappointed. I watch as my neighbors had The Final touch meticulously replace the roofs on their homes. Every detail was addressed, the plywood, the underlayment, the gutters, the tear off and of course, the clean up. This exquisite work was observed as I walked my dog daily and asked questions of my neighbors and the crew working as I was in the market for a new roof. Ovi and his wife are perfectionists and their commitment to quality is unsurpassed. Don't make the mistake I did and go with the cheaper company that promises the same quality, it's not worth it. In the end I didn't save any money, I only got aggravation and excuses from the company I used and will probably have to redo some of the work.

They painted the vents on the roof the same color(!), did the boards perfectly (according to my son who commented on their fine job) and they cleaned up the mess, leaving my yard in an immaculate condition.

Fortunately, my garage (which was storing much of what I had that wasn't in the house) was the only thing that suffered damage, Unfortunately, most of my mementos were destroyed. I reroofed, and now almost 30 years later, with rumors are that El Nino is making a return visit, I thought (since we had suffered minor leaks during some of the recent rains) it was time to reroof, so I put Yelp to work to find me some people to interview. I picked five for the information I could glean, asking few questions, since I knew opening my mouth connected to a brain that knows little about roofing, would be a bad idea and also seeing if people were helpful with their explanations. Everyone (maybe except one) was personable enough for me to think I could work with them, but much of the information was kinda the same thing (although I noted some improvements in roofing since 97 that were useful to ask each about). The prices were more or less the same, and close enough that I knew I could find a point that would be roughly around the general price for them all, so it wasn't money. It was rapport and ultimately who gave me the greatest sense of trust. And. I learned, information that no one else told me. Roy, with Top Roofing was the ONLY one of the five that I saw who discussed the solar pool heating on my roof with me; each of the people I met with went on the roof. Not one other person mentioned it, and if you have solar panels on the roof - it's a consideration in doing the job. When I called the others who'd come to the house to say I'd made my choice and asked why I picked someone else I told them this - it was determinative that one person told me this was a job that needed to be done in addition to the roofing. He hooked me up with a solar heating company, he'd worked with before and I got on the phone with them and felt reasonably satisfied that between them and Roy it would get done on time, on budget. (It's not a small add-on to have them remove and reinstall the works, so if this affects you, be warned). Roy stayed in touch with me throughout - He came by and we spoke on phone daily. We had agreed that in the cost we he would completely replace and repaint a tongue-and-groove porch which was pretty rotted out) and aside from some permit forms I had to fill out, gave me a date of less than a week every date was kept. His crew was punctual, and so neat - the pool was covered, they cleaned up each of the five days they worked. Roy walked the yard with me before they started so I could make sure my gardener trimmed where he needed to, then walked it again, to tell me where we might need to keep trimming. He touched base with me every day, and when it was over gave me a video of the roof (both the main house and the garage were reroofed), and the porch which looked haggard now looks beautiful. I can't say enough about what a positive experience this was. And it looks really good. And since the last time I put on a roof, the tile now cools down the exterior which is good to have in an LA summer. The roof is up, the solar heating is back in operation. Let's go. A roof is an expensive proposition, and I think it's ok to know little if you hire someone you believe in (and, I'll admit, test out a little bit at the onset), who speaks to you in a way that is helpful and doesn't overwhelm you, but I think this was an incredibly positive experience in terms of labor, cleanliness, schedule and most importantly communication. We had multiple leaks in different areas of our home and there was a significant storm coming. We need a complete replacement of all materials under our tile. Erik made sure to have someone come out (even on a weekend) to completely tarp our roof so that we wouldn't have any more damage before the job started. It was horribly windy and they came back out again to replace the tarp and make sure we were protected. The actual job was done from start to finish in a little over a week without big breaks or days off from our house (hate when contractors disappear for days). Permitting was all official and posted on our door for the duration. City approval was obtained quickly once the job was done. The team cleaned to everything and was very respectful of our home and outdoor space throughout. Our home has so many solar panels. We needed someone who could remove them safely and disconnect them and put them back up at the end of the job. Also, reinstalling bird proofing netting under the panels to avoid another problem with birds after fixing our roof! Two wouldn't take the job because it was too small. Franklin came by and gave me the best price. After the initial deposit, his crew came by about a week later and finished the job in one day. I think they did a pretty good job replicating what had existed before, although the work seemed a little sloppy. I saw a few gaps in the framing, but they were able to seal it up with bondo. Also on one of the posts there was a large crack in the wood, but that was sealed as well. For the price, I think this was a pretty good value. Would definitely recommend for smaller jobs like mine.

Substandard finish and no follow-up on a $25,000+ project…read more I hired Prime America Roofing to apply a silicone coating to my flat roof. The project was completed and the roof is sealed, which is the reason this isn't a one-star review, but the standard of craftsmanship fell well short of what a job of this size and cost should deliver. The problems were not isolated; they accumulated across the work, and several caused damage or follow-on issues that I had to resolve myself. The trouble began during application. The silicone sealer dripped onto the ground below the roofline, and I was fortunate to be walking the property at the time, because I was able to wipe the residue away before it set. Had I not been there, it would have dried in place. The application itself was careless: sealer splattered across my skylights (I have the photos to show it), leaving a mess where there should have been clean, deliberate work. Beyond the cosmetic problems, the crew failed to restore key components to their proper positions. The electrical conduits on the roof, which rest on wood blocks, were not returned to their original placement, and as a result the metal conduits became fused directly onto the dried silicone layer. The condensate drainage line for my AC was also left improperly routed; instead of running cleanly from the unit to the drain, it was left hanging, which caused water to back up into the AC unit and ultimately stopped it from working. The detail that best captures the lack of care was my outdoor bathroom sink. The crew used it to clean their painting equipment and left dried silicone lumps caked across the porcelain. It was filthy. The only way I could remove the buildup was to scrape it off with a straight-edge razor. What pushed my rating down further was the absence of any accountability afterward. I notified the job supervisor of these issues more than two weeks ago and have received no response from the company since. A reputable contractor stands behind its work and addresses legitimate concerns; silence after a $25,000+ project is its own kind of answer. I expected professionalism from start to finish: clean application, components restored to working order, respect for the property, and responsiveness when problems arise. What I received instead was sloppy workmanship, preventable damage to my AC system, a cleanup burden left on me, and no follow-up. Two stars reflects a job that was technically finished but poorly executed and poorly supported.

Dana and other staff members were great about painting a section of the house my dad had missed a decade earlier and removing the unused satellite dish and cabels from the exterior of the house. My aging father built his house decades ago and has been reluctant to let anyone else work on them. But he was ultimately very happy with the job completed by Lomeli Roofing. This is the first time my father was happy with the work I hired someone else to do on his home! I only regret that they can't work on the roof of my dad's Tehachapi house. The final price matched the estimate with the expected costs of materials. I definitely recommend Lomeli Roofing for roof repairs and replacements.
