We knew the end was coming and Dr. J worked with us to relieve Honey's discomfort as best we could, until it was apparent the time for her to move on had come. Then the care given on Honey's "goodbye" day made us feel cared for even though we were all very sad. The private cremation package, including a beautiful wooden box-urn, paw-plaque, paw-ornament (thanks, Martha!) and lovely hand-written condolence note from Dr J. and support emails, was more personal than end of life care we received in the past from other veterinary practices in other cities with other cats and dogs. Honey is "our last best cat" and this is the first time we've lived without an animal companion in 48 years, but we feel her with us. We deeply appreciate the support from the WAH staff over the past 6 years, since she moved with us to Whitefish. The care she received from multiple vets and staffers since 2019 helped her live to age 20 (our oldest cat ever) and enjoy Montana with us. We recommend their care to others with senior cats. We had never boarded our dogs before, so I was very apprehensive, but after reading several positive reviews, decided to make a reservation with Three Dog Ranch. We have two large great Pyrenees mixes so I requested that they be boarded in their own double bunkhouse. The staff were very kind and attentive and took the time to get to know our dogs and their unique personalities. I was able to enjoy the concert with my husband and when we picked our dogs up the following morning, they seemed happy and healthy. They did not appear distressed, and I am assuming they had a wonderful sleepover full of excitement because they slept hard the next day. Thank you Three Dog Ranch for taking such good care of my fur babies and allowing my husband and I to have a good time at the concert.

I do believe their staff work to keep the dogs safe. However, when we picked up our dog, his whole body still smelled strongly of urine, and parts of him were still not dry. I could even see his paw prints in it. We dropped him off clean, so it's concerning to think he might have been sitting in urine during the days of boarding. Another issue was their internal communication. We arranged via email with Steph to drop off medication that needed to be given the morning after our pickup day (my email was titled "Aug. 11 for our dog"). But when we picked him up, a staff member at the Whitefish location said he read "Aug. 14" on the note and didn't administer the medication. They never called or checked with us to clarify. While these may seem like small details, I had higher expectations before choosing this place. I wouldn't say they neglected the dogs, but there are definitely areas--like communication and cleanliness--that could be improved.

I also have Rains feet trimmed like a Poodle show dog.. for hygiene reasons and footing on slick floors. Prior to going to the Bark'N Lot I used the services of "Happy Pouch professionals in Kalispell for a year. They did an excellent job, just like Meagan does, but, it wasn't the $7.00 they charge for nail trims that sent me looking elsewhere, it was listening to Rain screaming at the top of her lungs repeatedly!!! I also took my daughter's Dachshund *Rocco with us, the sweetest most trustworthy mini dapple you can imagine, he rolled his lips, snared while having his nails terms. Happy Pooch groomers told both of our dogs to STOP BEING DRAMATIC! I wish they had a larger room to stay in rather than a cage but it is large enough for them to be together. Old dogs do mostly just sleep all day. One dog has a medical condition that requires medication and they always take great care to organize the medications timing and administration. The other is blind and doesn't eat when we are away so they started giving her pumpkin and rice which she loves so I now add that to services. All the people that work there loves animals. We have only had positive experiences with this facility.
