Lavender Honey and Lemon Lavender
Christal P.

I never got around to trying Alpine Chocolat Haus until Hawaii Yelper Dan O. met me there on his brief visit to Michigan. Alpine is an excellent choice for out-of-towners because there are so many chocolate and popcorn treats and small gifts that can be easily stowed away in a suitcase. I don't eat ice cream often and don't crave typical flavors like chocolate or rocky road. The ice cream served at Alpine is made by a well-regarded local company, Guernsey Farms Dairy, located in Northville. It was my first time trying Guernsey Farms ice cream, and I liked the Lavender Honey and Lemon Lavender flavors I chose for my cone. It was an unusual flavor offering that is rare to find, so I will have to return when I crave ice cream again.

Every time I am in downtown Plymouth during the warmer months I make sure to get ice cream from here. Good variety of flavors and the customer service is great as well. You'll likely grab and go, but the inside is quite spacious if you simply wanna chill inside

Superb gormet popcorn liberally coated twice with melt in your mouth buttery caramel

This outlet in Plymouth, originally from Gaylord, has THE best caramel corn one could ever hope for...and yes, get the 20oz bag....you dang well deserve it!

My visit was near Easter so I got to see how wide selection they make. Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate bunnies doing things besides the normal ones. Chocolate crosses for those who either religious or want to show the religious by biting off a piece of the cross in front of them and not in a nice way. They even have Easter baskets made of chocolate. The normal stock of their normal selection is still available. You can either buy pre boxed or choose individual pieces. Besides chocolate, they have Carmel corn in different varieties. If you are wondering if they, Yes they have candy apples that most high end chocolate shops think they have to have. They also serve ice cream, so if you are not careful, you can eat a day's worth of calories quickly. Worth a drive and another reason to add to the parking congestion in downtown Plymouth.

Just arrived here, online said they close at 8pm and on their door it's says 9pm. It's currently 7:02 and it's completely dark and door is locked. Love this place and drove over an hour to come out here. Very disappointed to arrive and have them be closed. Now to drive an hour back home, empty handed :/

LOVE this place!!!! Thank you, Yelpers, for steering me here! In town for a business meeting and all the good reviews made me stop here first. Lovely woman working came out and showed me around the products a bit which really made a difference and pointed out things I might not have bought otherwise. Not every chocolate house makes sea foam... it's a persnickety candy to make so I bought it naked as well as enrolled in dark with chips added! Also had to buy the lavender cherry bark because I've never seen that before anywhere else! (Both amazing!) But my SUPER find is the basil ice cream.... yes, basil-infused ice cream! Which I also had never had and was so so worth it and unique... love it! (It's not "flavored" with drops of basil flavoring or anything like that... I'm talking basil stuck in your teeth! Amazing!) And the caramel apples in the shape of a Thanksgiving turkey??! So cute!

Great taste a little sour a lot sweet but overall delicious I got a Caramel Apple dipped in Dark Chocolat Sea Salt

Living near Downtown Plymouth for most of my life, I have stopped into Alpine Chocolate Haus many times over the years. Every time, they're extremely friendly and even offer samples of multiple items -- the chocolate covered potato chips are are a fav and so is the ghost pepper caramel corn. I've also purchased the dark chocolate covered espresso beans multiple times. It's a local Michigan business (started in Gaylord) that warms my heart and taste buds to support. You can make a custom chocolate bar with a bunch of different add-ins for a reasonable price, which is a cute idea for a personalized gift or even to treat yo own self. They also recently started carrying a variety of fun, unique popcorn flavors year-round. Not all are chocolate-related which you might not expect. I'm excited to try some more of them in the near future! Ice cream is also around all year. Another tip: like them on fb for a piece of chocolate.

Really good chocolate place. They have samples all over the store too. I got about 8 truffles/chocolate pieces and it was less than $8 - great deal. Apparently the chocolate is made in Gaylord, according to the box. I sampled one of their mixes too and it was delicious - it had chocolate-covered potato chips in it. I also tried a piece of their caramel apple, and they have a ton of really tasty-looking caramel apples... One was even Michigan pothole-themed, which was funny. Worth a stop when you're in downtown Plymouth!

I got the Smoke and a Pancake (so fun, it literally comes with a mini pancake & bacon strip) & my friend got the Chef's Bloody (comes with a halloumi & meat stick) slightly spicy. Then I couldn't figure out what to order but finally settled on the Pastrami Hash (no cheese) and wow, I really liked it! There is some good crunch from the fried sauerkraut (I realized I got hash browns instead somehow...still tasted great), I would totally order this again which is funny since I'm not a huge meat/pastrami eater! I thought it was super unique as compared to the Hippie Hash which I was also considering. My other friend DID get the Hippie Hash & said it was good (but I don't know if she was blown away, I'll have to try it another time though). Lastly, my friend ordered the 360 Main Club which came with some thin, fry chips that she really liked. I think my hubby would like this sandwich so we will definitely have to come back. The ambiance is still beautiful as the high ceilings and windows really make it open and nice. It's an elevated atmosphere, perfect for a Mother Day brunch for sure.

This is a perfect place for apps/drinks! A few of my girlfriends and I spent NYE night here, early on in the evening and it was wonderful. The bartenders treated us so special and we loved the vibe. There's live music on certain nights which we were happy to experience while we were there! I highly recommend this spot for a gathering with friends or intimate date because the atmosphere is on point! This is also right next to the Sidecar Slider Bar which features a bit less expensive drinks and more of a sports bar vibe so although they are very different it was super fun to spend time at both in one night and have two totally different experiences!

The seared ahi tuna was overcooked. The filet tips were overcooked. The shrimp tacos were ok, but would have been better with grilled shrimp (not fried) and were not worth the price. Service was slow. After all of our food arrived, they basically forgot about us. Felt like just were not interested after finding out we didn't want cocktails. We like Sidecar a lot, but won't be returning to Shift.

There's plenty of variety, employees are nice (most are teenagers or young adults), price is "ok" for what you get, but I would rather much visit the ice cream places down the blocks from Dairy King, since they're all close to each other anyway. My problem stems from how when they're busy, they don't want to get customers in/out the door. Some I see are visibly irritated with families with large orders because the family's of four or five have many ice cream requests. Not the biggest deal, which is where I come in. I've seen the countless, 100% Artificial Intelligence created boards that advertise and display their menu. To me, it's awful they can't use some of their employee's handwriting or creativity to make the displays (don't we see that at standard ice cream shops anyway?). It just didn't right that they couldn't pay even a one time fee for someone to create these menu boards, they rely on AI instead. I took a quick Google still on Dairy King's reviews about it, to see if I was the only one. Not surprisingly, I saw one person comment on it and said how it was disappointing. This reviewer wasn't even rude, just said how it's a frustrating experience for an ice cream shop. Rightfully so! It is! My even greater concern, where the one star officially comes in, is how the business owner on Google reviews for Dairy King was egocentric, and very passive aggressive with the reviewer, basically backing down on using AI without taking any kind of feedback for their restaurant. Isn't that what having an ice cream shop or any restraint about, listening and wanting feedback? For similar prices (and ice cream you can get anywhere else), I will not return. This whole experience, even after years of visits, is pretty upsetting and I expect better. 1/5 stars
