These macarons are AMAZING!!! The hours they're open are really short but so worth it to come in. I've tried a lot of different macaron places from different parts of the country and this is DEFINITELY up there. Vanilla is my staple to always try and it was creamy and had a perfect vanilla flavor. Do yourself a fLavor and go in and try some macarons! Also the unicorn macaron...how cute is that?!???

Honestly, I was a bit overwhelmed when I came in. There's a tea bar area, the loose leaf tea wall, pastries and other desserts, swag, a tasting area, and apparently it was trivia night tonight. I experienced all of this in just the first minute or two of entering. And it was packed! I really appreciate the time taken to explain the shop to me and walk me through many of the teas. Although they were busy, I didn't feel rushed (there were 2-3 people working the registers) and it felt very personal chatting. I was able to smell a bunch, and could really tell the differences in them. I ended up getting 3 50g bags and 2 sample bags, plus some stickers and pins. Really excited to try these out. Their range goes from darker to lighter, and they have a wide variety of black, green, rooibos, and herbal teas/blends.

They are selling really cute tea ornaments and they have other things like tea pots and cards with funny phrases like "It was you Oolong." They don't have a physical menu because the flavors constantly change. You can look online but for the most part, have to stand behind the counter in diff areas to see alll the flavors! I spotted Almond Milk Tea and she let me smell it and I was sold! It smelled wonderful! When it was actually brewed, it was ok though. It doesn't really have milk in it either :0p My MIL got the Hisbiscus (a tad too sour) and my husband got the Japanese Cherry green tea (that was good and has a mild flavor if you like that sort of thing). They have signs on the table that there is no Wifi because they encourage unplugged conversations and connections.

We just gave our friends the gift of some of our favorite things from Cantoros and George took that extra step! I was eager to avoid the kitchen and had always wanted to try the restaurant, so I was game. We were able to get a reservation immediately and headed on over. Upon arriving, we were promptly seated and greeted by our server. We started our meal with the grilled calamari - a nice change from the typical fried that is usually served in restaurants. It was light and filling, and accompanied by some delicious bread and olive oil with balsamic to dip. For my main course, I chose the orrechiette pasta. The portion was gargantuan - I can have it for at least 3 meals - and the flavors were so balanced and well-composed. Our server did a good job of making sure we had our food promptly and that plates were cleared out as we finished each course. She was friendly as well. We really enjoyed our meal and are looking forward to introducing friends and family to the restaurant soon!

This is the first place I saw white strawberries (several years ago) and on my most recent visit I found fresh soursop in a bottle! I am so excited to try it as I love soursop, and it's kind of a pain to eat and prepare. My favorite quality of this store is its local focus. I popped in here for a couple of bags of groceries for a weekend getaway. I wanted high quality, unique items, and Westborn delivered. On top of that, most of them were locally produced, even better. They have local staples like Sander's chocolates, but lots of lesser known ones, too. The daily prepared meals continue to shine (bourbon glazed chicken thighs, mac and cheese, roasted vegetables). They also have vegetable and fruit trays, freshly cut. Though I skipped them this time, you continue to find a lot of in-house and brought in sweets and treats, a sizable wine and beer selection (basement), and a good amount of staples (that will be pricey). They also have lovely fresh flowers and plants for gifting or to light up your own life.

The case of macarons was beautiful , multicolored rows of well labelled flavors. We each made some selections and ordered some drinks. Our hosts ordered a large French press pot to share. I had time to speak with staff about the last k of space for baking and how they arrived at so many flavors. They do not bake onsite but receive frozen shipments from the main bakery in Grand Rapids as handiest the Holland, Michigan store. They defrost enough each for each day so they never run out of flavors. They were some of best I have ever had. Nothing like what you might find in the bakery section of a grocer. This is an historic residential building retrofit with a nice conversion to retail without losing its charming brickwork. I will definitely return when next in Ann Arbor.

It's so appealing. The macarons displayed in the case were equally appealing. I don't recall all the flavors, but I had a tough time picking out flavors for my friend and, of course, something for me. I chose three macarons to enjoy at the shop: blueberry, coconut, and strawberry cheesecake. I liked the delicate crack of the macaron shells and the creamy, flavorful centers. Each sported a design to distinguish itself from the others further. I also had a piping hot Earl Gray tea along with these treats. Espresso, French and Italian sodas, and lattes are also available. Customers stopped in throughout my visit for a quick purchase or to savor their macarons at nearby tables. Service was disappointing.

We've been here several times on the weekend (even with the kids). The line is never too long, although it can look long but it moves quickly. Everything we've tried has been delicious, almost too decadent from the cakes to croissants to sandwiches. We've also had their coffees and hot chocolate. There is a side register near the exit, not sure if that's just for coffee or pickups. Haven't investigated that yet.
