We were passing by and craving some ice cream. Google told me they have vegan options so we went. As always, my husband got the vanilla chocolate twist and I got their butter pecan vegan gelato. It was quite good, got the size small and it was huge. It was quite crowded but considering they are almost downtown Plymouth, I wasn't surprised. You can either order at the window or go inside. Parking is quite big for an ice cream spot. Did not have any issues finding spot.

I'm so glad it's spring and Dairy King is back open! There are plenty of choices for ice cream in Downtown Plymouth, but Dairy King remains my favorite. They have reasonably priced treats, a great location, and their ice cream is delicious! Choose from soft serve, Guernsey Dairy, and Ashby's

While hunting for dessert, we stumbled upon this place. It was fairly crowded for a Sunday noon but the employees were with it and kept the line moving quickly. They have rock n roll memorabilia that cover the walls throughout the store. Their selection is great with dairy free, sugar free, and gluten free options. A very large selection of Ashby and Guernsey ice creams, shakes, flurries and sundaes. My favorite is house made waffle cones, so yum. Great treats and we really enjoyed. The prices are fair and reasonable. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Limited parking but you can do street parking as-well. Enjoy a nice stroll through the downtown by getting your cone or cup to go.

This place is 20 steps away from downtown Plymouth. Down the street from Kilwins We went there last night at 9.15pm and the place was BUSY! I dont think I have ever seen a dull moment at this Dairy King at all - whenever I drive by it. There was people sitting outside by the street enjoying ice cream, some were inside the shop and some like us took theirs to downtown Plymouth and to sit in the park or by the Water fountain. The best part about this unlike most icecream places is they have much more than just the softserve or sundaes. They have real icecream from Guernsey Dairy. We were 4 of us and we got these flavors : Chocolate, Moose tracks, Mackinaw Island Fudge and Michigan Pothole! All of them were delicious!!

My daughter had a huge craving for nostalgia and really wanted a character shaped ice cream novelty. Besides trying to track down an ice cream truck, which I rarely see, I knew of one place to satisfy her hankering and it was Dairy King. I had always wanted to try this place anyway since we always pass it during the art fair. This time we made a stop and it was well worth it. We purchased the very fun and fruity Power Puff girl cherry ice cream stick. It was loads of fun to eat and took us back to childhood. If you are also craving these gems, they had Spongbob, Spiderman, Minions, and Bugs Bunny. So fun! I had the regular scoop of ice cream with two flavors, playdough and peanut butter cookie dough topped with peanut butter sauce. It was delicious and a great price, especially compared to some of the other ice cream places in the area. This stand also serves sugar free, vegan, daily free, and oat milk items. The individuals working here were friendly and helpful. They looked up ingredients for us and were very accommodating. They serve Guernsey and Ashby's ice cream with all of the popular and delicious flavors. They also have cream puffs that look very delectable. I am sure we will be back for more novelties and scoops soon.

Solid ice cream. The spoons are the perfect length. Super cute seating. The service was fast and friendly. The ice cream saved my life.

There aren't many hills I am willing to die on... bit find me a more delicious ice cream than the orange and vanilla twist with sprinkles in a freshly in house made waffle cone from the GOATS at DK. I'll wait... it doesn't exist. I have been coming to DK since the 90s and it's never not been great. It's family owned, Guernsey hard ice cream in stock, one of the coolest interiors especially if you like music and rock and roll, and they somehow keep the same kids working there year over year and keep a hall of fame roster with how many years everyone worked there. It's super cool. I start all my kids young on an orange and vanilla twist addiction, we even buy the gear we love it that much

Ooh eeh!!! That's some amazing ice cream! While we were there a family came in and said it was ice cream for dinner night for them. Now that's an idea and family tradition I can get behind! Don't miss this iconic frozen treat destination. The menu of how they can dish it up, mix it up, mix it in, blend it, top it and serve it up is extensive. Almost extensive as the historic rock 'n roll memorabilia and pictures that cover the walls inside. This is local and delicious done right, all the way around! The next I go an insider friend said to ask for the Sanders Hot Fudge Cream Puff with butter-pecan ice cream. I don't even know what that is, but I'm getting it!

There is plenty of parking in the rear of the business. You have the option of ordering your dessert inside of the business or outside in the front of the business. A large printed menu is located in front of the business. The ice cream shop offers a variety of ice cream flavors and other cold treats such as frozen yogurt and sundaes. When we ordered four different items and the clerk did not write anything down my friend got nervous but the clerk got everyone's order correct. She was nice and got our orders to us quickly. I got the vanilla ice cream with peanut butter on a sugar cone. The ice cream was creamy and tasty and comparable in price to other ice cream shops.

Dairy King took me back to my childhood with coming back home from my grandparents house on Sunday. My mom and dad stopping at the ice cream parlor getting hand pack ice cream and sundaes. They all type of flavors some new some old and some way out. The staff was friendly and had a smile on their faces when we entered and when we left. I told them I had never been there before and they took there time to explain. What a awesome experience. If you ever on S. Main downtown in Plymouth go in.

Some of the best hot chocolates I've ever had are from chocolate shops (makes sense) so I had high hopes. The price was quite reasonable I think for a premium hot chocolate, $4.99 for a dark hot chocolate with Mayan spice (cinnamon, cayenne, etc.) added. There was an option to add whipped cream and marshmallows but I opted out. The cocoa was excellent - delightfully chocolatey and definitely spicy - it definitely had a kick. I would order again in a heartbeat - maybe it's a good thing for my body that I don't live that close to Plymouth. They also have a nice array of chocolates, very similar to classic chocolate shops. I bought a couple of dark chocolate covered cherries and dark chocolate honeycomb chips for my mother and she loved them and she can normally be very picky about these type of chocolates. She said they were very fresh and the cherry flavor of the chocolate covered cherries was excellent. These were probably her favorite chocolates she's had in the last ten years or so. Alpine Chocolate Haus was definitely a winner and we'll be back whenever we're in Plymouth.

If you are looking to a quiet place to gab with your gal pals, this is the place! There was only ONE food item I tried that was worth consuming, except you can't really take it with you - the hot fudge on the ice cream! Please sell this in jars, the taste rivals Sanders! But, everything else I tried? Barely edible. Sampled 4 ice cream flavors , just because I was trying to find one that was palatable, settled on vanilla because I felt bad sampling more flavors...the ice cream is very poor quality. Being a Michigan company, I am surprised that they don't have Guernsey ice cream? That would be a welcome improvement for sure! Purchased 3-4 chocolates to go, I think one with cherries, another with maple, maybe a coconut, and a Buckeye. Let me preface this with the fact I love chocolate...after one bite of each, I threw them away. And the Buckeye was so revolting I automatically spit it out...what kind of peanut butter tastes like that?! I wish you were better, Alpine Chocolate Haus. :(

So my whole group and I happened to walk by Kilwin's, located in the heart of downtown Plymouth, over the weekend during the Ice Festival and it just felt like the perfect place to stop in after dinner and before ending the night. Yes, it was like single-digit weather, but I can always go for Kilwin's ice cream! My favorite ice creams they carry are the ones with streaks of fudge in them. I think in the past there's been one that's Mackinac Island Fudge flavored or something like that, but they didn't have that one available, so I oped for their smores flavor instead, which had fudge streaks, graham cracker crumble, chocolate chips, and marshmallow ice cream. It was so light and fluffy and the perfect balance of ALL flavors. I loved it! There is so much more to Kilwin's as well other than ice cream. I also went home with a caramel, but tons of my other friends got drinks (cold and hot), adorable chocolates, like chocolate covered orange peels and truffles galore, and of course FUDGE! Do yourself a favor and check out Kilwin's! They have locations all over Michigan and I think in other states as well. But they definitely originated in this great state (specifically, in Petoskey I believe!) and always scratch my itch for fudgey goodness without being on actual Mackinac Island!

My wife and I shared a meal that cost just north of $100, including 2 happy hour drinks, It was worth it, though, so please read on. We started with potato croquettes. Don't be fooled by the fact that "croquette" is a French word. These absolutely sing with grana padano - similar to parmesano reggiano - and traditional Italian flavors; it doesn't need the basil aioli that was drizzled on the plate below it. I wanted to savor every bite. We shared minestrone soup while savoring the croquettes. Unlike the so-so offerings at most Italian restaurants, this minestrone was robust and flavorful. I ordered the Strozzapreti Norcina at the server's recommendation. This glorious pasta is made with sausage, tomato, cream, that wonderful Grana Padano, and truffle oil. Another plate to be savored. The service was solid throughout, though the pasta could have been hotter (i.e. could have been brought out sooner). It was really great to enjoy a wonderful meal with my wife, but I can't imagine being able to afford meals for my 2 kids. The variety of the menu is truly incredible. They have 12 different salads on the menu, for example, and dozens of different beautifully crafted plates and pizzas. We could come back here over and over again and never get tired of the menu. The price will still cause me to reserve this for special occasions, but I can't think go a better place for such occasions.
