She grabbed an item from my hand while I was trying to take things out, didn't greet me, and acted irritated when asking the older cashier for prices. Alpine Estate Sales did a great job handling the estate sale of my late parent's home in Quail Lakes. My wife and I were astonished how simple they made it. We had taken a couple months to sort and clean to the point where we thought we could call the pros in. But once Jackie arrived, things really sped up. We were somewhat shocked that she was willing to take on the house as it was --- a mess with a mish mash of high and low value items... and there were a LOT of them! She posted online many beautiful pictures of them, but tactfully delayed revealing the home's address until just prior to the sale, for additional privacy. Jackie, Lucy and Tally staged the items beautifully in a layout that made sense, and way better than what we alone could have come up with. The actual two day sale was very smooth, with people continually flowing through the house but with little commotion or drama. They priced everything to appeal to the intended audience, and while that didn't bring in top dollar (although we really had no idea how much to expect), we were so impressed by how few of the items did not sell. Mission accomplished! Separately, Jackie also found a buyer for some precious (and heavy) coins and arranged a good sale, handling every bit of it transparently and expeditiously. Through it all, Jackie and her team remained professional yet so approachable, hard-working, willing to do whatever was necessary, and going the extra mile. My wife and I came to trust her with the keys to the house and ultimately consider her a friend. If you purchase something by debit or charge at an Alpine Estate sale, make sure you check how much they're charging you on the square. Also, have them write your name on the receipt for your records and theirs. And Whatever you do, don't throw the receipt away, even if it's only for $10! I purchased as $40 dresser at one of their sales. They charged me $400! They typed the $$ amount into the phone and had me sign it, but it didn't show their error. They refused to correct their mistake because I didn't have the receipt. Keep this in mind, because there is no way to connect the receipt with the charge - hence, cover yourself and have Them write your name in their receipt and yours. Even with that, if there's a dispute, they can't prove that it's the same purchase. Don't end up paying $400 for a $40 item, because they will not make good in their mistake read more

They allowed people to leave items all over the neighbors yard. When I called they said they would come pick it up and put it on the estate property. They did not do this. They lied to us 2 times. If you hire them for an estate sale, your neighbors will be affected. I work in probate and administer estates as a licensed fiduciary. I will let every fiduciary know at our next meeting not to use this company for estate sales. In this case, I know the neighbors and will let them know that this company is careless and lie. I intend to verify their business license and company license and post again if they are not in order. I intend to post a negative review every day that this item is in front of my house. It might seem unusual that a Vegas guy would write a review of Alpine Estate Sales in Stockton, but I used their services and was extremely, pleasantly surprised. Briefly, my Aunt lived in Stockton. She recently passed at the age of 94. She and my Uncle, who passed in 2001, NEVER discarded anything. It was a massive clean up job. I was panicked, but Jackie was a GodSend. Even though I was out of town, she and her team came in on very short notice and handled everything. They put a price tag on every item in my Aunt's house. Hundreds of items, including all the furniture. Wears me out just telling the story. Anyway, they conducted a two day sale, even auctioned a 1997 Saturn with 64,000 miles on it. Hadn't been driven for 6 years. Had some snails on the tires. Most all of the items found a happy new home and the few that didn't were removed by Alpine clean up team. What a blessing. We moved our mom from Stockton to the DFW Texas to an independent living facility in January 2022. Living in her mobile that was full of stuff she had accumulated of the years. There was no time to do anything other than an estate sale before putting the mobile up for sale. We went to one on the second day, 50% off. We saw a set of canisters (4 pieces I think) that had a matching utensil holder, shaker and napkin holder. Their was one tag, on the largest canister only that said $15 for the set, so it would have been $7.50. We gathered all the piece pieces and when we went to pay, they tried to say the price tag was for the canisters only, the rest were not included. When we said they all matched, and asked why they would split up a set, a different worker chimed in and said that they had a lot more yesterday and the utensil holder now can hold her and shake her must've been from yesterday's items. Obviously they didn't sell and are still here so they must not have cared yesterday if the set all sold. Additionally, instead of counter offering and giving us one price for everything, they just continue to argue that they were not the same set. They lost out on a sale and likely a customer. I'll continue to go to M&R estate sales as they have better prices and will work with people. read more
