Monday morning at 8 AM a team was at the house ready to go! How was that for service? Tyler Clark was on site for three days installing and carting away the old system, installing the new system and calibrating with added amenities. Another Tyler and Maxime and others came and went as needed. We also had them clean all the heat/air ducts and the dryer vent of the 22-year-old home we recently purchased. Ricky helped us out with our financing and all the necessary paperwork. Overall it was simply a pleasure working with all these customer oriented and friendly people. Just opened my furnace filter compartment from the last visit by quality heating in January to…read morereplace my filter. Was shocked to find a 1" filter in a 5" slot. What the heck? Called for a remedy and to try and understand and the gal said "oh that's no problem!" and I was like "it's a problem, I don't understand why the wrong filter is installed". She said they didn't charge for the filter and they could send someone out to fix but they would need to charge for the correct filter. I said "let me get this right, you put in the wrong filter and now you want to come back and put in the correct filter, but I have to pay for it?" She said maybe the smaller filter was placed as a temporary filter. But it wasn't noted and if it was temporary it's been close to 5 months so she apologized for the mistake but was unwilling to do anything meaningful. I asked if there was anything they could do and she kept saying they could install the correct filter as a cost. So I'm done with these guys. Installing a 1" filter in a 5" slot can do damage to a furnace. It doesn't seal properly and the surface area of filter is 4-10x less - so it clogs up much much faster.
