Just opened my furnace filter compartment from the last visit by quality heating in January to replace my filter. Was shocked to find a 1" filter in a 5" slot. What the heck? Called for a remedy and to try and understand and the gal said "oh that's no problem!" and I was like "it's a problem, I don't understand why the wrong filter is installed". She said they didn't charge for the filter and they could send someone out to fix but they would need to charge for the correct filter. I said "let me get this right, you put in the wrong filter and now you want to come back and put in the correct filter, but I have to pay for it?" She said maybe the smaller filter was placed as a temporary filter. But it wasn't noted and if it was temporary it's been close to 5 months so she apologized for the mistake but was unwilling to do anything meaningful. I asked if there was anything they could do and she kept saying they could install the correct filter as a cost. So I'm done with these guys. Installing a 1" filter in a 5" slot can do damage to a furnace. It doesn't seal properly and the surface area of filter is 4-10x less - so it clogs up much much faster. read more

The technician Jim they sent out to do the yearly maintenance and inspection on my mini split after I just moved the house for the first time since it was new and delivered was amazing. He took his time looking for any leaks or problems since I just moved the house. And told me everything. And it checked out perfectly. But he was so caring and he didn't speak to me like I wasn't knowledgeable about my own house. But the questions I did ask he answered sincerely. He was just wonderful! I needed an air conditioner to be installed in my new home. I asked my realtor, the biggest and most-experienced in Central Oregon, for a few recommendations. I also asked a few contractors for their recommendation, too. Quality Heating came up consistently in the top two providers for the area. Deservedly so -- the quoting and estimation process was fast and crisp, with a written quote within the same day. The installation was as clean and professional as I have ever seen. Beautiful 90° turns on the pipes, meticulously organized cabling, and a flawless implementation and clean up. They were in and out in the same day without fuss. This job came in on budget and on time. Very pleased. I am a landlord, as well, and needed to install a blower in my rental property's fireplace. The quoting process was fast and simple. I was, however, startled to discover that the quoted price for the work -- including the blower and installation -- was over five times the cost of my obtaining the blower and installing it myself. I had already authorized the work but they were good sports about canceling the job when I decided to do it myself. Great customer service! If I had a large and complex HVAC job, I would definitely hire them again. They are not the cheapest in town, but in this field, particularly, you really get what you pay for. read more

The bottom line is they got caught with their pants down! Quality tried to blow us off until another HVAC company said that the furnace was running way to hot - close to its shut off temperature. Only then did Quality come out and make a lot of modifications to try to improve the installation. And they still left the furnace out of spec in at least two areas - air flow and temperature rise! We have suffered with a burning smell for two years that caused my wife health problems! And it took another HVAC company to finally resolve the problem. So, don't trust Quality's design or installation, unless you want to spend hundreds of hours fighting with them and learning way more about forced air heating than you ever wanted to and possibly suffer health issues for two years too! I would have given them a higher rating, but, unlike most firms who waive the "diagnostic charge" if they do the work at the same time as being on site - this firm does not. I did not mind paying the $500 plus to install the $150 motor. What I did mind is paying the $ 85.00 diagnostic fee which was not waived, especially since I told them, that it needed a motor in the first place. So, the service was good and the technician friendly and nice, but if you can use another firm who waives the diagnostic charges like most firms do, use them. read more

Very professional and courteous and their tech took time to explain all the steps as this company was reinstalling a Daikin System that was just over 1 year old installed originally by a competitor that refused to acknowledge that they did not design this system to fit my environment where I live on the river at high elevation. Daikin North America was also of great help. Quality Heating also warrant their labor for 2 years and stated they would never have considered installing this system the way the original vendor did. I have already recommended them to several friends and acquaintances. So happy to have finally been released from 6 months of stress from first companies rude & spiteful behavior and lack of good judgment. Don't use this company messed up my heat pump after they maintained it now no longer cools. They will charge you to follow up on any repairs made. If you do have them work on your heating and cooling system dont wait to test it. Make sure it works before the 90 days or your out another 150.00-200.00 for a follow up visit. read more
