Another service call fee ($110) plus ($279) for a thermostat, leading to a third service call with billing listed as three service calls ($330) and control board change ($440). A call was placed to the office requesting bill be sent to owner of building. Kip then continued to harass the tenant to pay the bill and take it off the rent. A late fee was charged to the owner albeit it took Superior Service a month to send the bill. The AC wasn't working in a warm day, call to a different company. Central Oregon Heating and Cooling. Things discovered at this service call ($149): Door was not replaced and was not showing any lights in the control board and it wasn't sitting flush. One spade connector was never connected and was still covered from the factory plastic cover. The AC wasn't never wired in and what was present was not properly wired for this type of unit. From this scenario Superior Service sabotages heating units by either not wiring them at all or incorrectly and installing parts with the plastic covering from the factory still on for return service calls they charge for. The intention seems purposeful to ruin heating units so a new furnace/AC unit would need to be purchased, taking advantage of local businesses and local property owners. Do not use Super Service or proceed with caution.

We had a very popular local company come out and inspect and service the units before moving in. The company informed us that the system was old and would need to be replaced and would cost tens of thousands of dollars. We couldn't afford it and figured we would make due. Also at the time of there visit the wired in a new Nest thermostat but the technician seemed to have issues and didn't know what he was doing. He eventually figured it out and said we were good! From there our electric bill shot up to $500 a month and the heat periodically worked! So we were in the house a few months and dealing with freezing temperatures and heat that sucked a power bill that sucked and all of a sudden the heat goes out completely! Mind you it was 26 degrees outside. This is where we meet Kip The owner. I called at 7 pm at night and instantly was greeted with help and solutions. With in an hour Kip was at my house. He began to diagnose the situation one piece at a time. He rewired the Nest thermostat that the other company installed incorrectly. He explained throughly why our system wasn't working and why our bill had gone up so high! He didn't bad mouth the other company but instead just fixed the issue! He then checked the furnace and the heat pump, all the wires and coils and showed us how our old system was great and just need a new filter drawer which saved us thousands. He reassured us that we didn't need to spend tons of money to make what we had work, we just needed a few small tweaks. He was in and out of the house in about an hour and saved our booty's from freezing. The most friendly professional company. It was an absolute blessing to meet this man! To fix it, they sent out a technician who admitted he had never worked on that type of fireplace. He did get it working but when he left it quit working again. When we complained, they said that we just don't know how to run the remote. OK, then did they send out someone to show us how to run the remote? Of course not. We had another company come out to try to fix it but they had no experience with it either and put in a new valve. When the propane supplier (Ed's) inspected the fireplace, we were advised to not run the fireplace until it was fixed properly. We are now working with a third company to fix it properly. This "upgraded" fireplace has not worked properly.

After using them for several years for the annual servicing of our HVAC system, I called them to fix an issue I was having with our gas fireplace. They inspected the fireplace and determined it needed a new gas valve. They sent me a quote for $1,070.00 which seemed very high for the work involved. I asked them to send a breakdown of their quote (parts and labor). They responded saying the Part would be $341.00 and the Labor would be $729.00. When I responded that the Labor cost seemed extremely high for what I knew could not be more than a couple of hours Labor, they replied that "This is the cost for us to cover our labor and overhead for this repair. We welcome you to contact someone else if you want to try to find it cheaper". (How gracious of them). As I wasn't interested in "covering their overhead", I decided to follow their suggestion and shopped around. I found the gas valve on-line for $192.00 (a new OEM part) and found a local service company to install it for $235.00 (2 hours of Labor). The fireplace is working perfectly, and we now have a new vendor for our future HVAC needs. In today's economy it PAY$ to shop around.
