Moved into my home and did a large remodel installing brand new Trane units about a year and a half ago. I called that company ( that did the install not Accu) and told them I had an emergency as my house was freezing and I have small children. Should I mention it's also 16 degrees out today - worst winter ever in Bend? Putting a high end heating unit in I never expected this problem as I maintain filters etc. that company left me hanging saying I would be on their pending call list and hopefully get out in the next few days - what is that?! They were able to get us scheduled and fixed the very next morning. Showed up in mask for estimate, gave a detailed estimate, assisted in finding reviews of other products. Estimate was written detailed and easy to follow. Installers showed up on time, worked their tails off and when they left about 7:30 pm, place was clean, we were instructed in use and the new heat pump worked w/o a problem. The follow up inspection was similar and good advice and tips given for efficiency and ease of operation. We went with the American Standard #tem6a0e24. I will try to remember to post after this winter to report on efficiency and savings but I cam say now that it is noisier than our 26 year old Carrier. And just maybe, maybe it seems to work harder ( more often) than the carrier. But the installer is a true five star. read more

We bought our new heat pump from Accuair back in 2018 and had a service check on 5/26/2022. I just received my electric bill and I was in shock to see how high it was. Looking into my thermostat history I noticed we have been running auxiliary heat since May. Right after our service call. So I made a call to Accuair and explained what I had found and was informed they would not be able to come out until 12/27/2022 (12 days later) and if I wanted them out sooner it would be an emergency call. Even after I explained that it looked like it was something there service tech changed I received the same response that it would be an emergency call. I finally look into the settings and found out the settings had been changed to emergency heating. Needless to say I will NEVER call Accuair for service again. read more

Can't offer enough praise about AccUAir. Start to finish a positive experience. Discovered that my electric furnace in a cabin that I had purchased in August was not connected properly to the heat pump. Big job to correct. Rourke and Scott had to spend a good deal of time in the attic coaxing the wiring through to the new thermostat. Impressed With their knowledge and professionalism. Covered floors with sheets and wore booties and cleaned up a mess ... the furnace is next to the front door.. inside the house! Explained everything and answered all my questions. I have used four different heating/cooling services in Central Oregon. I have yearly service done and also installed a new system. Dave was awesome to work with and his employees were great guys compared to the other companies. Another company sent two guys out to look at an issue with my zone heating. This was the same company that originally installed my new system. They spent eight hours here researching the issue. After numerous phone calls to Trane, waiting on return calls, eating lunch, etc... I was determined that I needed $4000 in school new control board. The issue was minor enough that I decided not to replace the board. Big service bill from them to say the least. Dave offered to look at my system for FREE and make a recommendation. He was here my himself for two hours. Fixed several other minor issues for me, educated us on our system operation and fixed the zone heating issue. Simply unplugged one wire and the zone heating issue was fixed. Saved me $4000 in a new control board. Charged me $200 cause he actually fixed the issue and did other work as well. Well worth the service charge. I am sold on his company! read more

Our heat pump stopped working during the 100 degree heat spell this month and after getting bids from 4 providers we chose AccuAir. Our experience echoes all the other reviewers - Dave did an impressive job of preparing a proposal and personally reviewed it with us. We did our homework also so didn't go into the process blindly. Decided upon the American Standard Platinum 850, based on Dave's recommendation and are beyond satisfied - we are amazed at how quiet and effective it is! Our heat pump stopped working over Thanksgiving weekend...of course when we had a house full of people. They were able to send a technician out within a few days, and even offered an emergency appointment if it was necessary. Between the initial appointment, ordering specific parts, and a prompt return visit, the office and Dave had excellent communication, service and follow through. The owner, Dave came out with the original technician finished the job at 8 o clock at night in 20 degree weather. We had four area companies evaluate and quote the replacement of a gas floor furnace for our mill house. We have been very happy with the performance and lack of blower noise for the furnace, but it is difficult to find a company that still handles them. We got everything from "the city is going to condemn your house unless you do this or that, and you'll need to find another additional contractor to handle some of the work" to "we can't do the job without a large outlay to meet city codes". We were fortunate to contact Dave at AccuAir and he was both familiar with the furnace and was way ahead of the game on how to install the unit to pass the building codes. The team from AccuAir was extremely professional, personal, fast, and neat. The quote was ideal for our budget and the installation passed city inspection without a hitch. These guys are great! I have used them in 2 different houses now. One for a small AC wall unit. And the other for a whole house AC/new furnace. AccuAir in Redmond is a great, great business. About 10 inches of snow had already fallen in Redmond when my daughter and I returned home to a freezing cold house. AccuAir came when they said they would, gave a fair quote, and did NOT pressure us for an extended warranty. They came back on time 3 days later after the part arrived, and installed the circuit board. Our furnace still did not work properly because it had a separate problem with the thermostat. We have had wonderful service from AccuAir since we moved into our house 2 years ago. We have an annual contract. The service pros are always thorough and knowledgeable. They have never tried to sell us something we don't want. Our last service call was done by Richard. He took the time to answer all our questions. We want a new thermostat. Richard explained all the options without any pressure to buy. When we decided on a thermostat model we received a call from Dave to make sure that it was what we wanted and that it would be the best choice for us. The service man came out to repair our system that stopped working. When he got there he didn't have the correct tool to take the side off to get to the back of the furnace. After about an hour of fiddling around he went out to his truck and made a call. He came back in with a obvious script from the office. It was going to be $198 an hour to continue with diagnostics. And because our furnace was over 10 years old he said it would more likely be between $4000- $5000 to repair it. (AND NO THAT WAS NOT FOR THE HEAT PUMP! THAT WAS FOR REPAIRS ALONE! MY HUSBAND AND I BOTH HEARD HIM SAY THAT!))Your response just shows how crooked a company you are!! And he really pushed to have a person come out and give us a quote on a whole new system. We wanted a second opinion we called Central Oregon Heating. The service man came out the same day went out and opened up the heat pump and within 10 minutes of him being there he had it diagnosed and within 30 minutes of his arrival he was already on the road and my system was running better than it had since I bought the house, all for $300!!! AND THE SERVICE MAN AT CENTRAL OREGON SAID THE OLDER SYSTEMS ARE MORE WELL BUILT THEN THE NEW ONES AND CAN LAST!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ACCU AIR!! read more

ONE OF THE BEST! Earlier this year, I requested 6 estimates from several HVAC companies for a home air conditioning installation. About half were from big operations and the rest from independent local installers. After reviewing each estimate, I happily chose AccuAir. David Sale (the owner) came out twice to discuss the installation and costs involved. His was the only estimate that offered a computer analysis of my entire home cooling & heating needs. His price was in the middle of the group, but I was completely impressed with the knowledge, professionalism and great customer service offered by Dave and his team. After having another local company tell me during routine servicing that I needed to replace my 16-year-old HVAC system, I was referred to Dave by a friend. Boy am I happy I called him! Instead of $6500-$11000 for a new system, Dave, after a thorough inspection, told me he saw no reason to replace it but did find a $150 part that was needed to keep the blower motor from wearing out.
